13 Chapter 13

Outside in a heavy thunderstorm with heavy winds making the trees violently sway. Inside a light blue two story house that was surrounded by acres of empty fields. A teen was working hard on sticking a few pieces of fabric together.

Next to him was a mannequin that held a green sleeveless vest top with a large green hood and slim black mask that only covered the eyes. On the arms were green sleeves that only covered half the arm with black straps holding it in place.

Jason was in the middle of crafting one of the many versions of Green Arrow outfit. The outfit was more for his personal collection than to sell. Beside a select few, no one in the world knows who the Green Arrow is or Justice League members are.

"What do you think?" a girl who appeared around sixteen with long pink hair barged into the room.

Glancing up from his work, Jason was slightly stunned for a small moment. Instead of having her shirt she was wearing earlier. Lala now was topless while covered in various colors in the form of a shirt.

"Have you been playing online again?"

Due to wanting to explore Earth's culture and various activities she can do. Lala would spend time with Liz or online looking at different hobbies she could try. Now she discovered body painting and tried it out on herself.

"Maybe?" Lala smiled. "What do you think? It's pretty neat don't you think."

"It sounds more like a pain to clean." Jason commented lightly.

Twirling a bit so Jason could see her untouched back as Lala only did the front. He could see her smiling as she was proud of drawing his attention.

"According to the page, it should wash right off pretty easily. So easy that it warned that sweating could potentially ruin it." Lala answered, before changing topics, "What are you working on?"

Sitting down the pieces he was working on, Jason opened the drawer next to him and pulled out a pretty aged photo. In the photo was a picture of James when he went by Clark Kent in his Superman outfit. Standing within his arm length was a woman with long dark brown hair who held a sword and shield in a matching color scheme.

Next to them were a few others in costumes with a handsome looking man dressed in a bat outfit. As he sent a glare towards a blonde man in a red suit who had a lightning mark on his chest poked his arm.

Next to them was a man in green with a bow with his right arm around a man's shoulder who was dressed in an orange fish looking one with a trident. Then the final two pairs were a green man with a red cloak and only non-humans standing next to a man in green holding a green ring and lantern.

These were the founding members of the Justice League his father formed once. Pointing to the blonde hair man dressed in green and holding the bow. Lala noticed that his entire left arm was made of metal.

"I am making one of his various costumes he had." Jason answered before explaining. "His name was Oliver Queen and he was one of the best archers in his time. From a party hard billionaire son to vigilante superhero. He later joined the Justice League that my father created."

"Aren't their identities supposed to be a secret? Why did they take a photo?" Lala asked as she studied the photo closely.

From the various stories James would share about his adventures and lengths he went through to protect his identity. She knew most heroes kept their identities a secret while going a certain length to keep it that way. However in this photo none of them were wearing their masks.

"It was for my Father actually. Beside Diana or Wonder Woman, the others knew he would still be alive long after they were gone. So besides his wax sculptures he made of them, they decided to give him something he could always carry with him."

"That was sweet of them." Lala said slightly sad of the thought of Jason having to watch everyone move on without him. Then she remembers that he mentioned that the woman should still be alive. "Where is Diana I think you said her name was."

"She is busy resetting the universe my Father is originally from. At some point in the future my Father will go to her and marry her I believe he said." Jason shrugged at his father's weird lovelife.

"So while she is busy working, he can just date around?" Lala asked as this didn't sound like James. "Is he just going to up and leave Liz?"

"When you say it like that it sounds bad." Jason laughed. "Nah, when he leaves, it will be in a few thousand years. So it will be long after Liz dies after hopefully a long life."

Lala was just dumbfounded as she wondered why it sounded so bad at how these kryptonian looked at life. How could he look so calm as he mentioned living for thousands of years like it was nothing. It almost sounded like time was just a joke to him.

What Lala didn't know was that it was Jason's way of coping with the fact. Unlike the version of his father in the Smallville show that was afraid of outliving everyone he holds dear or being basically immortal. Jason's coping method was to joke or act nonchalant about these things.

"Lala." Jason's tone suddenly changed.

"Yeah?"

"Your paint is coming off." Jason said as he looked at the colors all blending together. "It would look sexy if all the colors were not in the process of combining into a mess."

Blushing red at his comment, he watched her bounce out the room like a scared rabbit that accidentally entered the wolf den. Laughing silently to himself, Jason smiled as he enjoyed teasing her from time to time. It was moments like these that are precious after all.
