(Viz's POV)

Ard Carraigh, A day before the summon at the royal court.

Inside the Inn's room, I am observing the silver sword, that we witchers use it to slay monsters, and the silver sword in my hands…

It was Deglan's sword, and I was surprised when the old man led me this sword.

Because witchers hold their swords dearly, without them they would feel naked, and feeble!

But the old man Deglan said regular silver and iron swords weren't suitable for me and he didn't need his swords for a while, as he and Reidrich will be coped inside kaer morhen doing work.

However, now I don't know if the old man Deglan would kill me?

cause the silver had a big blunt at the middle edge and there were cracks spreading through the whole sword originating from the blunt edge!

fuck! did the old man lie?! this sword wasn't any special!

How could this sword get damaged to this extent with a single swing?!

I sighed because I knew that it wasn't the sword was weak… it was me and the mutated griffins' neck that were too strong for the sword!

"Master Viz, someone delivered a letter in your name." maid Lanna Voiced from the other side of the door.

"coming" leaving the sword on the bed, I walked to the door before I opened it.

By the way, I wasn't wearing a shirt, and my chest was bare.

"m-Master Viz, here's the letter…..then excuse me!" Maid Lanna blushed as pushed the letter to me before she ran away!

"How cute!" it was fun messing with Maid Lanna.

Reading the letter, I knew it was an invitation form Zerbst family, requesting a promptly visit!

If I am not wrong, the present head of the Zerbst family is Illyana Zerbst, an old lover of Vesemir!

And I have a good impression of the Zerbst family, as the late Lord Zerbst dared marrying a servant as his wife!

I am in the living room, sitting with Lady Zerbst on the opposite side.

Though she was an old woman, her face has an attraction.

"How is the tea, master Viz?" Lady Zerbst asked.

"It's good." It has been a long time since I had such a tea.

"But I presume I wasn't just invited for the tea, lady Zerbst." I said.

Lady Zerbst chuckled, "You are an impatient fellow, master Viz."

I wouldn't be impatient if you were a young woman!

"Could you tell me what happened during the Griffin's hunt? Seeing the lack of guards around Prince Amavet, it alludes to me that the hunt was a disaster." Lady Zerbst.

I stared at her for a while, before I said, "you are well informed, lady Zerbst. The hunt was just yesterday, and you got the news."

"As a member of Royal council, One need to be aware of such incidents, Master Viz." Lady Zerbst said as she filled her teacup.

"Well, it's as you guessed, lady Zerbst, though it wasn't completely a disaster, but it wasn't much different." I continued, "The prince was quite a troublesome associate during the hunt…."

I told her how his shout attracted the griffin, and him still bringing the guards to hunt the griffin and the griffin being mutated ones… everything except the part where I blackmailed him for extra coins.

Lady Zerbst frowned as she listened to me.

"So the Prince Amavet could have been killed during the hunt?" Lady Zerbst asked.

"Yes.", I lied.

If it were any other average witcher in my place, Prince Amavet's chances of death were high, who told him to attract the mutated griffins' attention!

"Then it's a good opportunity to use, master Viz.", Lady Zerbst smiled, "As the things going and court sorcerer Tetra Gilcrest smearing witchers in the Kaedwen court, it would be wonderful if such heroic deed presented during the Royal court discussions."

"It would help keep tetra in check…" I said.

"You caught quick, master Viz." Lady Zerbst smiled.

How to say Lady Illyana Zerbst was strongly on witchers' side because of Vesemir, though the present Vesemir doesn't know about it.

Heck, he didn't even know that his old lover Illyana was still even alive!

Witchers stopped mingling into political since The Order was dissolved, and witchers were divided into many schools.

"I don't know why Tetra always targets witchers." Lady Zerbst sighed.

Tetra Gilcrest, she is a court sorcerer and adviser to the king of Kaedwen.

"Its it because her past," I shrugged my shoulders.

"Her past? Wasn't it her belief against the witchers presence causing loss to the kingdom of Kaedwen?" Lady Zerbst.

Viz smiled, "Congratulations, Tetra fooled you."

"Yes, Master Viz," Lady Zerbst said.
