Chapter 5: Nobody Can Do Anything When Family Turns Against You

The Wang Family's village consists of many small settlements, within which the Yang Family's village would be considered small. It has forty households and just two streets.

Suizi's maiden home is the fifth house on the western side of the back street.

Yu Jingting and his wife chose to cross there when the afternoon sun was at its strongest.

Suizi looked through the shabby door, the courtyard was a chaotic mess and downright filthy.

When her birth mother was still here before returning to the city, the house had never been this deplorable.

Her birth mother was an educated youth who came from the city to live in the countryside. As a city dweller, she liked cleanliness and kept the house tidy, filling the courtyard with flowers.

Her mother had returned to the city three years ago, and within a couple of weeks after her departure, her father brought home a stepmother.

The stepmother, Lun Lamei, came along with her. Ever since they entered the Chen family's home, Suizi's life had been miserable.

The stepmother, Wang Fenfang, was an incredibly lazy woman. All the flowers in the courtyard withered, and rubbish was strewn everywhere.

"You stand here and wait."

Yu Jingting saw Suizi standing at the door dazed, and assumed she was afraid of her stepmother.

On the third day after their marriage when they came visiting, she cried as if her birth mother had died. At that time, Yu Jingting noticed that her relationship with her stepmother wasn't good.

"What am I afraid of when you are here? Let's go!" Suizi took a deep breath. She was no longer the foolish girl who cried at every problem.

"Heh, now you know how capable your husband is?" Yu Jingting's tail was about to wag to the sky in pride after her praise, he swelled up.

He lifted his foot and kicked forcefully at the large door.

Bang!

The dilapidated door gave its last roar, breaking into two.

One half hung there with a desperate breath, while the other half lay on the ground, announcing its end.

"Lun Lamei, roll out to greet your father!" Yu Jingting roared with his energy sunk to his dan tian.

Suizi's slight sentimentality was completely shouted away by him. She nearly burst into laughter when she noticed the two sons from the old Li family next door eating sunflower seeds and enjoying the commotion from a distance.

"Why is the rouge of the Yu family acting up? He has run to make a fuss at his father-in-law's house, ha-ha!"

"He's still letting his daughter-in-law's sister call him father——wrong generation, isn't it?"

The two young men watched enthusiastically until the oldest Li brother came out, grabbed both of his brothers and dragged them back home.

Are you guys daring enough to watch Yu Tiegen's spectacle? Aren't you afraid that he will kick you into the river?" The sedate Li elder brother threatened his younger brothers.

Yu Jingting, who was in the midst of calling out cadence, shifted his attention to the Li family's house:

"Stop spouting nonsense! I'm not Yu Tiegen anymore! Let me hear you spout off one more time, I will smash your windows!"

The door of the Li family's house quickly shut. Suizi sighed.

"Don't be so fierce with them. The Li elder brother has always been nice to me."

When Yu Jingting heard this, what the hell, nice? How was he nice? Was he coveting his wife?

The eyes staring at the Li family's window grew more wicked. He figured out that their windows would likely get smashed.

"Not in the way you think. Their daughter, Li Ying who was married off, is about my age, we used to play together when I was still living here."

Yu Jingting withdrew his gaze from the calculated windows. The windows of the Li family's house were safe for now.

Chen Kaide came out, seeing his unruly son-in-law had kicked the door into pieces, his blood pressure hitting the roof.

"What on earth are you doing?"

"Injustice needs redress, stand aside and let Lun Lamei come out to pay her price! I want her and her evil-hearted mother to kowtow thrice to my wife, or else there won't be an end to this!"

Chen Kaide's head was pounding with rage, he wanted to curse, but dared not offend this renowned hooligan of the village. He could only grit his teeth and said:

"Lamei is your sister too, how can you be talking about life and death here?"

Yu Jingting hesitated, glancing at Suizi.

Suizi bit her lip, speaking in a voice only they could hear, "Don't listen to him."

With the word from his wife, he was out of his hesitations.

Suizi, sharp-eyed, saw Lun Lamei hiding inside the house, sneaking peeps into the Courtyard through the window. She nudged Yu Jingting, hinting for him to look that way.

Yu Jingting squinted his eyes, ran his tongue over his back teeth, mustering up his fierce energy, and strode towards the house.

Chen Kaide had no idea how Lun Lamei had offended this devil, Yu Jingting. With his killing intent surging, Chen Kaide's legs went weak with fear. He wished he could turn and run as far away as possible.

Suizi's heart turned cold seeing the cowardice of her father.

This old man treated Lun Lamei better than his own daughter, Suizi. In her past life, she'd been heartbroken, unable to understand her father's bias. But now she saw, he didn't treat Lun Lamei much better either. He lacked any sense of responsibility.

The person this old man loved the most was himself alone, running faster than a rabbit when in danger.

Seeing Chen Kaide was useless, Wang Fenfang rushed out from the house, stood behind Chen Kaide and pushed him.

"You are his father-in-law, say something! If he's gonna hit Lamei, I'll take her back to my parents' home, you can deal with it yourself!"

"Don't spout nonsense, my daughter took you to the hospital out of kindness. She said you had 'Fetal Qi' because of Tiegen's anger! And during this process, you kept cursing at Lamei, blaming her for everything. Bitch! Just because you're scared of Tiegen doesn't mean you can smear Lamei!"

Wang Fenfang hid behind Chen Kaide, indirectly blaming Suizi. Trying to push all the blame onto Suizi, her eyes filled with malice.

It'd be great if the thug took Suizi away and killed her.

Yu Jingting snapped out of his stupor, ignoring everything else but remembered the three words "Yu Tiegen".

His brows furrowed, he angrily pointed at Wang Fenfang and cursed, "You rotten old hag, with a rotten heart, rotten mouth, rotten ass, even your memory is rotten! I changed my name long ago and announced in front of the whole village, anyone who dares to call me Yu Tiegen again will be beaten. What, you think I won't dare to hit you because you're ugly?"

Wang Fenfang was so angry that her triangular eyes grew even larger. She nudged Chen Kaide.

"Listen to this, is it tolerable? I am Suizi's stepmother, and her husband is speaking to me like this?"

"Yu Jingting! Do you still see me as your father? Suizi, you think because you are now married, you have grown wings? Why would you bring him back home to make a commotion? Before you were a disgrace at home, now it's worse after marrying!"

Chen Kaide was wielding his father-in-law status to press Yu Jingting, feared he'd anger him, but he could only curse his daughter.

The moment he direction the curses at Suizi, Yu Jingting's fury boiled over.

"Mr Chen, step aside, don't stand in my way of sorting out Lun Lamei, that cheap bitch!"

If he's not to call him dad, then he won't, he didn't care a damn.

There was no one in the Wang family compound that he, Yu Jingting, didn't dare to teach a lesson. No matter the age or gender, if they upset his wife or cursed her, he'd hit them, no toleration!
