I have to say, I really enjoyed this novel so far! The writing isn’t a drag, the pacing is engaging and interesting, but more importantly what shines the most about this story in particular are definitely the characters. Their personalities are beautifully fleshed out and their interactions are quirky, engaging and don’t feel unnatural. The main protagonist is definitely far from an upright do-gooder and exhibits sociopath tendencies right from the beginning. But he’s not just ‘crazy’ and ‘unhinged’ but there is depth to his personality affliction as well, as you’ll come to discover as you continue to read. Aside from the main character the side characters each exhibit their own unique charm. The world unravels gradually as we discover it together with the MC, it’s both interesting and easy-to-follow, the author does not overwhelm you with large blocks of infodump. All in all a very worthy read, I highly recommend this to anyone interested in exploring a dark character in an enigmatic world.
