3 Chapter 3: Selected Worlds

With a giant swing of his arms, the never-ending wheel of fate spun once again. This spin seemed to last longer than selecting my starting world. I didn't know how much time had passed before the wheel began to slow down. To my surprise, I figured out why the spin lasted longer than usual this time. It highlighted six worlds altogether, instead of doing individual spins for each one. It's understandable. If this wheel spun one by one, then we would be here forever, haha!

Jokes aside, the holographic panel hovering above me re-wrote its text, displaying new words again.

[Ding! World One: To Love Ru/To Love Ru Darkness]

Seeing this first world appear, I paused for a moment. Now I remember why that name sounded familiar! Isn't To Love Ru a silly rom-com involving aliens?

Well, God said he wouldn't give any further explanation once the worlds start getting chosen. This place mostly evolved around Planet Earth, but it did allude to alien planets. I guess I'll start seeing these characters show up. And if I recall, weren't there some pretty cute girls in that one?

Still, I went through the list and my shock only grew more and more seeing each one presented to me.

[Ding! World Two: Frieren: Beyond Journey's End]

'Wasn't this number one airing before I passed away?', I inwardly thought to myself. This world is of its own...So perhaps it would be like what God mentioned, referring that Naruto wouldn't have a direct impact on Planet Earth. The world shown there definitely wasn't the Planet Earth I know, so who knows how it would relate to this. Either way, I continued on to the next world.

[Ding! World Three: Jujutsu Kaisen]

"...", I tried to utter, but couldn't find the words to do so. The World of Baki mixed with cursed spirits? I wonder how that would play out. Yet just seeing Jujutsu Kaisen alone wasn't shocking enough to what the next two worlds were.

[Ding! World Four: Dragon ball Z]

[Ding! World Five: Marvel Cinematic Universe]

"Maybe I'm cursed after all?", I immediately retorted seeing these worlds presented before me. No pun intended.

"Hoho, perhaps, or perhaps not. A couple of these are quite high in terms of power scaling. Dragon Ball specifically. Depending on how that plays out, you could easily get a jumpstart on the Marvel Cinematic Universe story, venturing into outer space with ease. Or if you want something closer to home, you could dive into the World of Baki, Jujutsu Kaisen, and To-Love Ru. I am a bit surprised to see multiple stories interweaving into Planet Earth though. As expected of this randomizer program. I wonder if I should reward the God of Chaos in some way?", God responded to me, rubbing his white beard as he did.

"You just don't know how fucked up this became. Didn't you say I would get an easygoing early start? What if these planet destroyers just wander to Planet Earth without any remorse?", I continued to retort. Hearing that caused God to laugh again.

"You make a fair point. Mr. Takakura. This is still in testing, so some tweaks will happen here and there. But I did guarantee you would have a safe time starting out, so I will probably tweak DBZ in some way to make it safe for you. For example, in the year 737, Goku is sent to Planet Earth, and doesn't marry Chi-Chi until he is 19 years old at Age 756. I could equate that to Year 2008, since your starting year is Year 2008. The first Saiyan with the intent to kill, Raditz, wouldn't arrive on said Planet Earth until five years later. I could even add an extra security feature, bumping Goku's age back a bit to sixteen or so. That way you'd have eight years to prepare for their arrival. That should suffice, no?", God asked me.

"If such a scenario is presented to me, that would definitely help out. Eight years would be plenty of time to grow and get strong. Especially with those other worlds mixed in, and considering the MCU will be at play, many events will happen that story alone before those Saiyans come. I take it as a fair trade.", I said, immediately nodding my head.

DBZ was definitely not a world to start out in. The MCU is up there as well, but at least for the MCU, they have superheroes and various intelligence agencies defending Planet Earth. If it was DBZ, you could die without even knowing it. If we add those martial art crazies from Baki's world, we definitely have a fighting chance against them. 

"I will proceed to implement that. But various tweaks like this can happen based on one's karmic value. Yours is quite high, so we have more freedom to make your starting point easier. Those who are unlikely, however, may not even get to live long to see their stories play out for them.", God explained.

"I can very well see that happening now. This really is a randomizer, isn't it?", I uttered, amazed by the possibilities this third option could present.

I could have chosen a single world and reincarnated as who I wanted, but several stories have been presented to me, even though I have interest to see how those will intertwine with each other.

"Hoho, I can see the growing interest in your eyes. We still have the final world to view. You did roll six worlds after all.", God said, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Right. Let's have a look at the last world.", I said, seeing the text change on the floating screen yet again.

[Ding! World Six: Dandandan.]

'Dandandan?', I inwardly thought to myself, trying to recall such an anime, but didn't seem to recall such a title coming out. Perhaps it was a manga?

"Oh dear.", God said, looking at the sixth world.

"Is something wrong?", I decided to ask, not expecting God to say that.

"Oh I wouldn't call it bad. It's just that two of your six worlds overlap with each other quite a bit. It's Jujutsu Kaisen and Dandandan. The latter is more obscure and targets Yokai over cursed spirits, but there are plenty of cursed spirits in that story. If this isn't a story you are familiar with, I won't dive into it too much. What I will say is that there is a key difference between the two. Jujutsu Kaisen allows people to use Cursed Energy, becoming Sorcerers, but in order to use Cursed Energy in Dandandan, one either needs to be a Priest, or have a body capable of storing a Yokai within them. The powers differ as well.", God briefly explained to me.

"Two stories that overlap with each other huh? But the main world is the World of Baki. Throwing Cursed Energy into that will be interesting to see, on top of everything else. Frieren could potentially offer magic, and with the MCU and To-Love Ru, rapid science development could also be a key theme.", I uttered.

"Sounds like you're interested in the outcome?", God asked me. I wouldn't say no. It would be interesting to see all six of these stories fleshed into one. I'm just glad it didn't pick something like Naruto or One Piece, where I wouldn't even likely tread those lands for a long period of time.

"For now, I am satisfied with these six worlds. Plus I've lived in Tokyo. Even if it changed with the influence of these worlds, I still considered this city my home. The question now though, with the worlds chosen, what else is there to choose from?", I decided to ask.

"Ah, yes. We aren't completely done here. Your karmic value has reached the threshold of receiving a system to help you guide you through the early progression of this creation, so we will have to set your parameters and your skills. We do have to decide on one thing before that though.", God answered me.

"So I'll be getting a system to help keep me in check. Nice. But what would that next decision be then?", I asked.

"That would be deciding on who you want to be of course. Given your current threshold, you could easily reincarnate, starting life anew. That would set you back some years. I would make an exception to your starting point, and make the starting year earlier. Let's say you're twenty years old, I could set the year to 1988 to let it advance to Year 2008. That is the perk if you choose to reincarnate into a new person.", God explained.

"I see. And choosing to be transmigrated into one of the major characters in Baki, what would that serve?", I asked God.

"You could choose what starting age you would like to be.", God answered.

"Let me guess. That's dependent on karma too?", I retorted God after hearing that.

"Of course. Everything is based on karma. Now, which one would you like to do?", God asked me with a smile on his face.

"The option to start over in a body of my own, after knowing that I'll be thrown into these six worlds meshed into one? No thanks. I'd rather not be seen as feeble when powerhouses could be lurking every corner. Make me Baki. Yujiro is tempting but he has an extremely bad temper and was even mentioned of ****ing a freaking dude. I'd rather not want to inherit his body, thank you very much.", I answered.

I weighed the pros and cons during that moment.

And the cons far outstripped the pros.

Plus in being Baki, he has various rooms to improve his strengths and fighting capabilities. He has Yujiro's blood running through him, so he can basically absorb everything that his taught to him whether it is outside or in combat. He's like a sponge.

In a way, Baki is like Goku in that aspect, learning through combat. Except the latter has a bullshit ability of getting stronger after every fight if they reach near death. A perk of being a Saiyan, haha.

And in the World of Baki, aside from Yujiro, I've seen plenty of people saying Baki was the second strongest in that series. 

"That was a pretty fast decision. Are you just you don't want to be someone else, or want to start life over?", God asked me, raising his eyes a bit with a surprised look in his eyes.

"Nah. I'd rather not want to relive my life as a kid again. I'm guessing since I can choose my starting age by transmigrating, becoming a kid again wouldn't happen.", I responded.

"You would be correct, Mr. Takakura. Your age selection has been refined. Please see the wheel.", God said, drawing my attention toward the wheel again.

I only saw five options there. Age 15-20. Seeing this, I smiled. Guess I would either relive the adolescence period again, or return to my original age when I passed away. I do recall my age at least, I was twenty when that accident struck me.

The wheel stopped just as it began. It didn't last long at all.

[Ding! Age has been selected. Age: 16]

'Age 16...', I inwardly thought to myself. That's just the start of high school, ain't it? Moreover, don't most events of Baki happen in Baki's later years when he's 17 after his kid saga ends?
