Prologue

"Tsak, tsak" Footsteps, breathing, and voices were sonorous in the universal darkness.

"Anyone here?" "Somebody?" "..."

Smooth yet raspy voice was stricken with panic as his actions were stentorian and lucent amidst the still silence.

After a long time, the person exclaimed hoarsely, "Light!".

Stepping into the light, the person's features cleared. Wearing a pajama and loose shirt, he was nothing but an ordinary teenager. By now, what he stepped upon was distinctly visible.

"What is this land? What is going on?!" Only he saw was the void. By analogy, it was like stepping in dark air which have a tinge of white due to the existing light.

"Hello! Anyone here?" Being bizzared by the experience, he was afraid. "Uugh what is this stickiness?"

After a bit, he realized. "It kept brighter and getting sluggish. What is this place?"

A day passed. In contrast, the last time was the gleam of a firefly but now it was the shine from a lamp. Sensation of being stucked with viscid lime; instead of dark and black, he stepped on a white void. He kept walking since the last thing he could remember.

'Why am I not feeling tired' He thought to himself. 'This is strange'

Another day passed. Even it was extremely unusual, he didn't felt strange anymore but instead he was numbed by seeing only white and being plastered by the increasingly viscous thing.

Then another day, still the same circumstances and situation. He was mentally tired as he was in a daze.

A week passed, he was now in a trance.

A month passed. The light was now like a bulb and he felt like he was in an adhesive swamp. Walking slowly but effortly kept him at least half-awake.

Days.. Weeks... Months.... A very long time.

This time, the viscousness was too great as his pace became like a snail's movement. The light was now as bright as a full moon in night time such as if he was in front of it.

'Is it getting lighter?' The adhesiveness was abating. Time passed again and the feeling was apparent.

'It really is.' He thought. 'But the light is still increasing?'

Days.. A week..

No hindrances and constraints to his being, he walked freely.

'Now I realize it, why am I not blind?' The light was unduly bright which could already facilely blind a person.

At this moment.

Being pressured to his cells, his true soul, his very essence, his face flickered in deification. The light becoming more sacred and increasingly illuminating. As if facing a genuine star, it was too bright, he could be a sightless person in any instance.

Not being forced, the sacred pressure led him down willingly to kowtow. It was a desire that came down to the very form of his existence. A feeling even greater than toward one's parents. By kowtowing, it filled him to the very brim of satisfaction as if he forgot everything. And even if he died right now, its all worth it.

A voice came out of nowhere. It was music to one's ears, a melody that pleased and soothed the heart, a resonance in spirit, soul and truesoul, a tremor on one's own existence. Couldn't be compared for all eternity, the perfect voice he had ever heard so far. Defying words to describe it, nothing could ever be. Nothing could explain the situation he was in.

"My child"

The boy trembled even so. A tear dropped from his eyes, followed by its flowing stream. He was crying with bliss as if his dearest wish had finally came true. A wish just to hear someone's immaculate voice. The irreproachable voice of God.

"Power"

"What is it that you want?"

"Tell me one thing, my child"

The light that was omnipresent was slowly converging in a single point above the young man. It was becoming increasingly bright. As if the light was being absorbed, the darkness followed.

The only thing he saw in matter, void and infinity; his gaze was abducted by that bead of light. It was the brightest thing of all.

Afterwards, vivid and realistic images, accompanied by its each information and wisdom, flowed into his pool of knowledge. Greatly overflowing yet was still converted into profound knowledge. Even the miniscule amount of it, such as a grain of sand in the face of universe, could effortlessly destroy the mind of the young man who was a mortal but miraculously, it did not.

Although the knowledge was beyond the boundary of the limits of a human being, so profound that couldn't be delineated by lone words, he still could comprehend and understand of its concepts and essences like it was just a lift of his finger or the back of his hand. Certainly, the power behind it assisted the person in question.

Knowledge pertaining to the term "power", filled and assimilated into the thoughts and mind of the young man. All it took was just the briefest of moments and now, he contemplated and pondered his own answer. His thoughts were pellucid, the matter appertaining to his answer, which could undoubtedly affect and determine his own future and fate, processed breathlessly. Answer set, it only needed to voice it out.

Gleaming with determination and resolve without any discussion of futher regrets, he finally said the words that changed his own life upside down. He loudly professed:

"I want to be a traveler."
