A surprising encounter

Hi, Author here.

I'm wondering whether or not it is a good idea to add any romance to this novel?

I will listen to your thoughts on it. At this rate, I was going to wait for another at least 30 chapters, but I will see what happens.

February 17th 2012:

It has been a week since I have joined JYP. I got back from school and decided to go practice my dancing before our team's vocal training. I had taken one of the empty practice rooms and was halfway through practising 'Move' which had now been professionally recorded with help from staff at JYP, so I could practice it with a clean sound when three girls walked into the room. At first, they didn't notice me or the music. They were too busy talking to each other. But finally, one of them stopped and looked up. When they saw me dancing they stopped their friends and they watched my dance, listening to the music as well. They looked a little surprised to see someone already practising in the room. Soon the song stopped and I finished dancing. The girls gave me a little clap, so I bowed and thanked them before walking over and grabbing a drink of water.

The three girls discussed something and then approached me. The lead girl, a shorter, black-haired girl spoke up. "Are you a new trainee here? We haven't seen you around here before." She asks

"Yes, I joined last week. I'm Chu Jin-Ho, 13 years old." I replied while giving a quick bow to my seniors.

"My name is Park Jin-Hyo, 16 years old. I've been a trainee here for 7 years."

"Wow, that's quite a long time," I say

"I joined in 2005 after winning second place in a contest on Junior Naver" she replied. "I've never heard that song before. It's nice, who sings it?" She asked me.

"I did, it's an original called Move," I tell her.

"Wow, you wrote an original at 13 years old?!?!" The second girl yells, clearly surprised.

"Yeah, I had help from the staff to produce it, but it is written by me," I tell them.

"That's so cool," they all say together.

The other two girls are quick to introduce themselves.

"I'm Im Na-Yeon, 17 years old, I've been a trainee here for 2 years now." She was a pretty girl, with a roundish face, and beautiful eyes. I could tell that she would be popular when she got older.

Finally, the third girl came forward and introduced herself. "I'm Yoo Jeong-Yeon, 15 years old. I've also been a trainee for 2 years." It was at this moment that I realised who I was talking to. I didn't recognise them because they were so young, and my memories were a little foggy. but after the third name was mentioned I pieced it all together. They were three of the members that made up the Girl group Twice that debuted in 2015 in my past life! I see that my memories of these girls were a little foggy, but I think it's because I wrote a few songs for them, but didn't have many interactions other than that as they were so busy with concerts at the time I was producing for them. It made me think that if given the chance, I will rewrite those songs for them, and become good friends with them in this life.

I thought about it a little more before another couple of girls walked into the room. About 6 of them I didn't recognise, but 2 of them I did. two of the Japanese members of Twice. Sana and Momo. They quickly ran towards me and the three girls that were talking to me.

"Na-Yeon Unnie!" Sana yells happily while hugging her. I giggle a little at her bubbly self causing Momo to look at me. "Who is this guy?" she asks Ji-Hyo.

"That is Chu Jin-Ho, he joined JYP last week, and was just practising his dancing," Ji-Hyo replies to her.

"Dancing, are you a dancer?" Momo asks me.

"Yes, I dance and sing" I replied.

"He even wrote an original song" Ji-Hyo adds.

"Really? Can we hear it?" Momo requests. I walk over to my bag in the corner of the room and take out a USB drive. I hand it over to her. "Take this, and listen to it when you have time. I can even teach you the dance at some point if you want."

"Really?" momo asks now very excited.

"Oh, right. My name is Herai Momo. I'm 15, a dancer from Japan. I arrived in April with Minatozaki Sana. She's the one hugging Na-Yeon Unnie."

Sana finally stops hugging Na-Yeon and turns to face me. She bows "Hi, my name is Minatozaki Sana, dancer and vocalist from Japan. I'm also 15 years old." She is smiling the whole time.

"Well, it was nice to meet you guys, but I have to go to my group training now, so I will see you around," I say, putting all of my stuff back into my bag.

"OK, nice to meet you, see you again," the girls all say at the same time. I head off in the direction of the vocal training room.

Upon arriving at the training room, I greet the other members of my trainee group and instructor. We immediately get underway. Performing exercises, and various other activities. "Jin-Ho, you are already good enough at singing to debut. You are no doubt best suited for the main vocal spot. Thank god you finally arrived. Though I don't really have much more that I can teach you. You're pretty much perfect and are getting everything in one or two attempts. It's frankly scary how good you are." our instructor notes. The rest of my group mates nod along with what he is saying. Over the last week, my group members and I have gotten pretty close. So close that we are already pretty much brothers at this point. We have shared almost everything about our lives with each other. I even told them about my parents' deaths and the reason why I came to South Korea. The boys were very kind and welcoming. They understood me very well, and I was soon taken under their wing as their little brother. Which I liked very much, as I hadn't had siblings before. Even in my past life.

We had been working hard in our vocal lessons for about 3 hours when Myung-Ki walks into the room with a smile on his face. "Boys, I have some news for you." He states, looking excited.

"First, JYP has outlined each person's positions for this group so that you guys can practice in the positions ready for evaluations." He says, and we all cheer a little. "Second, your first evaluation is set for the end of this month. From then on, you will have monthly evaluations. If you do well, they will become fortnightly from next year onwards. So work hard." We all stop cheering and grumble a little. But we understand that we need to do this if we want to debut.

"So, what are our positions then?" Hyun-Shik asks.

"Well..... Look at this," He says as he gives Hyun-Shik a piece of paper.

2: DongBang Kyong (16) Position: Main Dancer, Lead Rapper

3: Sim Kyu-Bong (16) Position: Main Rapper, Sub Dancer

4: Hayashi Roh (17) Position: Lead Vocals, Sub Rapper, Sub Dancer

5: Chu Jin-Ho (13) Position: Centre, Visuals, Main Vocals, Lead dancer, (Team music composer)

After looking at the list we were all pretty happy with the setup.

"Now, JYP knows that Jin-Ho can make music, and so has made the condition, that pending on performances, and the quality of the music he produces. You may be allowed to use some of it in your group's albums if you debut" Myung-Ki adds. We all cheer again and start to celebrate.

"Let's all work hard boys so that this dream of ours can come to be true" Dongbang States.

"Oh right, I almost forgot." Mumbles Myung-Ki as he turns around just before he exits the room.

"JYP wants you guys to come up with your group name, concept and stage names before the first evaluation. The concept can take a little longer if it needs. But he really wants this group to progress quickly. But remember to keep all this secret from everyone else in the company, as we can't afford leaks." He finally turns and leaves the room. We all stare at each other, before bursting into a round of cheers and hugs as we celebrate the good news.
