30 First Attack (2)

While pondering about the events that just happened, Peng Hu slipped a little bit from the branch he was sitting on, making some leaves fall.

[Damn it. I got careless while listening to the noises. I hope no one notices the falling leaves.]

"Everyone! There is someone in the Sacred Tree!"

[... Why do you have to notice that!? And even if you noticed it, couldn't you take your time to analyze the situation!? Don't you see that the village is under attack??]

Thousands of gazes instantly fell on the Sacred Tree, trying to pierce through the branches with their focused eyes. Looking at every nook and cranny, Peng Hu started to sweat profusely. He was feeling that he was being undressed slowly with the moving gazes.

[Please... make it stop... This is starting to feel uncomfortable...]

Suddenly, a loud noise could be heard from the North Gate. Everybody's attention was diverted towards the direction of the noise. Peng Hu took the opportunity the small window of noise produced to let himself down from the Sacred Tree.

*thump*

[Ouch! My buttocks... my poor buttocks...]

"Hey! It's you! You are the new guy! You are the one who brought bad omen to the village!"

[Oh crap. Maybe I should have just stayed up there... Don't they feel any sense of danger from the attack!? Why would they bother with me??]

"He is the one who called the attack. Let's slice him up and deliver his pieces to the Red Ember Kingdom!"

"Yeah!"

The villagers that were close to the Sacred Tree were starting to move towards Peng Hu. Peng Hu wanted to move but the pain he just incurred upon himself was preventing him. Peng Hu silently cursed himself for not being wise with his decision-making. A flashback from the disgusting Bastard passed through his mind.

[... The Village of Siluca will betray you...]

[Shut up... I will have to convince them...] Peng Hu thought.

Slowly standing up, Peng Hu stood up with great effort. He wanted to believe in the villager's goodwill.

"I am not the one who caused this..." Peng Hu said.

"Liar! You must be the spy... the spy!"

"No... you are mistaken..." Peng Hu said.

A pebble was thrown towards Peng Hu.

[Ugh... they are being irrational... I won't be able to change their mind if they are not open minded... I am out of option... Dear gentleman who sent me flying a moment ago, where are you thou when I need you the most?]

As if there was a symphonic arrangement, the villagers started to throw pebble towards Peng Hu. Sometimes, Peng Hu could feel a magic ball hitting him.

[I am sorry for everything...]

Not waiting any longer, a quick shadow past through, casting two successive magic on tow.

"Luz de bang! Expeliandus di hide!"

A bomb of light exploded near Peng Hu, blinding everyone, including Peng Hu. Afterwards, an invisibility magic coat engulfed Peng Hu, shielding him from any prying eyes that were trying to harm Peng Hu.

"Take my hand, Pen!" said the hooded person.

"Kai? Is that you?" Peng Hu said.

"Hurry! There is no time!" Kai said.

Following Kai's voice, Peng Hu grabbed what was apparently Kai's hand, and ran away from the place with Kai.
