14 An Honest Misunderstanding

"Aiyoo Uncle Yuvan! Table for two please!"

Kai and Peng Hu arrived at the favorite food stall of Kai in the village. There were a few tables, with four chairs each, in the open for the customers to eat. The furniture were all made of wood with exquisite finishing, each of them suffering from wear because of using them. Peng Hu observed around the place and noticed at a simple glance that there was something wrong going on. Peng Hu grabbed Kai's shoulder and pulled him in and warn him of his finding.

"Wait, Kai. There is something wrong..."

Confused, Kai looked Peng Hu for an explanation as to why he thought that there was something wrong in the stall of his favorite uncle.

"What do you mean Pen?"

Kai didn't have enough maturity to discern between a good or bad situation. Kai had been living most of his life locked up in a house and his interactions with the outside world weren't very successful. Additionally, the chief prevented Kai from venturing outside the village much. It was up to Peng Hu to point out the fishy situation in front of them.

"Isn't it... too empty at this time of the day?"

"Maybe Uncle Yuvan hasn't opened yet?"

Suddenly, a soft moan could be heard from behind the counter of the food stall. Kai and Peng Hu stood petrified on the spot. After half a breath of incense, a soft moan could be heard again and it was possible to discern firmly that it came from a woman... With a fine tuned ear, the listener could deduce it belonged to a young woman.

An erotic moan. The sound was packed with a lot of feeling of satisfaction, as if the user were to enjoy a splendid course meal slowly, enjoying bite per bite every single taste from the food. Peng Hu's heart raced very fast, as if he were driving a sports car on a dangerous highway with deathly curves. The thoughts in his mind couldn't follow what his heart was feeling. His cheeks and ears became as red as a tomato. He had never encountered such situation in the old world. Peng Hu could feel that he was going back in time, when he had heated discussion with his former best friend about the topic. The world it encompassed was so deep that theories and hypothesis made every man crazy. There was even a country in the old world renown for its knowledge on this sacred art. The amount of categories someone curious could find was so astonishing that it was possible that everyday, someone, in somewhere, would look for a new type of category that could satisfy their knowledge. If there is something that could rival human greed, it would be the never ending Lust.

Peng Hu's heart wasn't ready for it. It was very possible that at this very moment in his life... he could witness one those sacred categories. Peng Hu's hand started to sweat. It was impossible for Peng Hu. His weak self started to burst from his new persona in this world. It was very different witnessing a real life situation, than something you could only hope for from the internet... or from discussing about it with friends. Red blood were being pumped vigorously in his body and a feeling of heat could be felt.

It was this moment in life that could define a man throughout the rest of his life. If encountered with a situation like this, what would a man do?

[This is bad!]

Peng Hu's mind started to go blank. If he didn't collect his composure right at this moment, he would be forever ashamed for trying to run away.

[Why... am I so cowardly!?]

Suddenly, Peng Hu's eyes caught Kai moving bravely towards the origin of the sound. Peng Hu wanted to move and prevent Kai from knowing the other side of the world: perversity. Once a human walks through the door of perversity, nothing would be the same. His body didn't respond him, but his voice was still functional.

"W-w-w-wait! Kai! Don't!"

But it was too late. From the moment Peng Hu decided to call out Kai and stop him up till the moment words came out of his mouth, time decided to fast forward itself, punishing Peng Hu for being a coward. By the time Peng Hu finished his sentence, Kai was already looking behind the counter. Kai's expression changed swiftly. It was a face that showed a multitude of emotions, with terror at its helm. Peng Hu could feel a strong heartache attacking him.

[What... have I done!? I couldn't stop him in time! I-I have tarnished his innocence!]

Although every man would, sooner or later find out, there was an appropriate time for it. For Kai, it was better if he could explore the world, and reassess chasing his dream that seemed so far away. There was no need to introduce impurity in Kai's train of thoughts. Tears were flowing down the cheeks of Peng Hu. It wasn't tears of sadness or joy that were flowing out. Rather, it were tears of weakness and incompetence. For the first time in a while, Peng Hu could feel that he was incompetent. Most of his life, he was being bullied and Peng Hu always considered that his situation stemmed because of weakness... but never because of incompetence.

Mustering any slight courage and hope in his heart, Peng Hu started to move slowly towards Kai. When Peng Hu got close enough, he closed his eyes and put a hand in Kai's shoulder.

"I'm sorry... Kai."

"Pen... What should we do..."

"... You have already been tainted. Imprint the scene before your eyes and record it into your heart. This is the elementary essence of human being!"

"Mary needs us!"

[... Hold down your horses Kai! You have escalated waaaaaay too quickly! What do you mean by helping her!? Youngsters these days... they can't keep it up in their pants. I was wrong about you Kai. Give me back my concerns!]

"Quick, Pen! We need to do something!]

Tears could be seen again from Peng Hu. This time, it were tears of joy...

[Didn't expect that you would be so concerned about me that you would also help me... *sniff* *sniff* You are a very good friend Kai. Let's feast the sight before us as brothers and not like friends...]

Peng Hu slowly opened his eyes, with expectations over the roof. What scene would unfold before him that he had seen digitally? Or would it be a new kind of scene that he has never seen?

When Peng Hu finished opening his eyes, he was very shocked by the scene before him. It was definitely a new scene. It was also a scene that Peng Hu would never forget for the rest of his life because it will be a reminder to him about what happened in this fateful day.

The young woman called Mary by Kai, was severely injured with three holes the size of half a punch: one on the chest, one on her right leg, and the last one in her throat.

Near the woman, Mr. Yuvan also was lying on the floor motionless.
