261 261. Guild

Looking at the silent marines Leo said, "I won't go into the details as we have much more important matters to attend to. Issho."

"Yes."

Issho who was standing behind Leo raised his cane. Stacks of paper sitting at a corner of the room flew towards the seated marines and neatly fell infront of them.

"This will be our Navy's future."

Leo said.

The marines took the paper infront of them and read the title.

"Adventurers Guild."

Beneath the title was a lot of rules.

Leo spoke, "From this moment on the Navy is no more. At it's place will be the Adventurers Guild. We will be an independent organisation. No country or countries can interfere in the matters of our organisation and we won't participate in any countries official matters as well."

One vice admiral asked hastily, "Leo, isn't this too hasty? Without the Navy this sea would be in chaos!"

Another vice admiral also spoke up, "Yes, Leo. And where would we get the funding from? You should know what kind of expense the Navy had just for a single day."

Leo smiled, "I am getting to that. Adventurers Guild will have several routes of income."

"For starters, there are lot of people who want to travel the Great Route, we will provide them with essential supplies, like log pose, a map, food, weapons. Of course all of these will come with a certain price."

"Then there are missions. The Guild will post a wide range of missions, like escort missions, extermination mission, supplies mission and so much more."

"Each mission will be graded from D to S. And the price will increase according to it's grade. seventy five percent of the compensation will go to the adventurers who take up the mission while the rest to the Guild."

"Of course, every mission will have be detailed and checked for authenticity. Mission reward will be held by the HQ or the branches. Once the mission is completed you can get the reward from the respective branch."

"Another source of income would from our Guild banks. We will establish a banking system. Money can be deposited and withdraw from this bank. This facility is open to commoners as well as adventurers. Anyone can open an account at our bank."

Leo pulled out an card made from quality materials. It has a photo blank space on it's left corner and several lines of words on it's right side.

"This is a bank card. Each person with an account at our bank will be provided with one of this. On it will be their name, account number and the grade of their account."

Leo explained several more details of the banking system. This was very novel for these marines who only knew how to fight.

Garp at some point had dozed off. However Sengoku and Z were very serious as they listened to Leo.

"Sengoku... we lucked out with this kid."

Z said with emotion.

Sengoku nodded, "This kid thought up a lot of ways to make money. If I hadn't known him to be a strong fighter I would think him to be a shrewd businessman."

The conference went on for several hours. There was a lot of questions shot at Leo and he explained every question to the best of his knowledge.

Some interesting thoughts were put forward by the marines which Leo took seriously. One person alone might fail to see certain things that's very obvious.

When the meeting was nearing it's end Leo said, "Since most of our funding issues and rules have been sorted out let's discuss how every person will be graded."

"It's obvious that Admirals will be graded as S class. Vice Admirals will be A class. As for B, C and D class, they will be graded according to combat power."

"Since all of you here are senior members of the Navy I will hold a vote to decide the master of the Guild."

"There are two candidates, Aokiji and Issho. Vote for the person who you favour, don't think about any other factors."

When Leo said this everyone looked at Akainu. However the latter didn't say a word and sat calmly.

The voting was done in secret. Everyone wrote the name of the person they favoured and handed it to Leo.

Leo counted the votes and declared, "By favour of vote, Aokiji will take over as first master of Adventurers Guild."

Leo clapped when he finished. Everyone followed and applauded as well.

Aokiji stood up and slightly bowed to the senior marines.

When that was finished Leo went on and said to Sengoku, and Z. Since Garp was sleeping he chose to ignore the old man.

"Sengoku-san, Teacher Z, the Guild is still in it's infancy I hope you guys can watch over it as seniors."

Aokiji also had the same opinion as Leo.

Sengoku looked at Leo and Aokiji before smiling, "I guess my life wasn't in vain. I agree."

Z nodded as well.

Nodding to them Leo turned to Akainu who was silent all this time, "Akainu, your sense of justice is twisted. You will go to extreme lengths to achieve your justice. I wanted to kill you."

When Leo spoke of this the room turned silent. A chilling sensation creeped into everyone's mind.

Leo continued, "But you are strong. Though your justice is twisted it may be due to some factors in your past. I won't dwell on the past, but I hope you don't make the same decisions as you did in the past."

"As of this moment you are stripped of your title and demoted. You will work as D class adventurer and form a team of five including you. You will earn your way through to S class."

"You will be evaluated by the Guild and if your conduct is deemed to be good, you will be promoted to the next class."

"Remember Akainu, if you ever harm your teammates you will be severely punished."

Akainu raised his head and stared at Leo without any emotion.

Sengoku sighed when he saw Akainu. Some horrible things happened to Akainu when he was young that's what made the guy into who he is today.

This is good as well. Only time can change a man.

After sorting out a few more details the meeting came to an end.

Leo let out a breath and stretched on a reclining chair.

Aokiji sat calmly infront of him and drank tea.

"Well, Aokiji-san, the rest is upto you."

Leo stood up.

Aokiji smiled and said, "So you plan on throwing everything to me and scoot."

Leo shrugged, "Hey, I am a married man. I want to enjoy life."

Aokiji's mouth twitched for a second before he said, "Then I hope you enjoy your life."

Leo smiled, "I will."

He walked out of the room and saw Flare, Issho, Mace and Dali waiting for him.

He looked and Issho, Mace and Dali and said, "You are official members of the Guild now. Make it a better place."

The three of them nodded seriously.

Leo looked at Flare, "Take me to Sabaody and return. You have a lot of work to do."

Flare nodded.

The air rippled as Flare and Leo disappeared.

...

Sabaody Archipelago.

Leo and Flare appeared at Mangrove #06.

Spreading out his spiritual sense he found Shinobu.

"You can head back with Violet."

Flare nodded. He disappeared from his spot.

Leo took faint steps in Shinobu's direction. Each step covered tens of meters.

In a few minutes he travelled through several mangroves and reached Shinobu.

Shinobu was waiting with Tama at a stall. They were surrounded by men trying to have a conversation with her.

Leo smiled and walked forward. A force spread out of his body and pushed the crowd aside.

"F*CK! Looking to die brat?!"

"Shoot! Who the hell are you?!"

People cursed as Leo walked through the crowd. When he reached Shinobu he held her hand.

"Big brother!"

Tama jumped into Leo's chest and snuggles comfortably.

Leo rubbed her head and smiled.

"Che! So that's her husband."

"I was looking forward to see who snatched such a beauty. So it was a pretty boy."

People around them cursed under breath and left one by one.

The stall owner looked at the trio and said, "You got a great family, lad."

Leo smiled, "I know."

Shinobu looked at him and asked, "All settled?"

Leo nodded, "Yeah. By the way, what's with the packages?"

Leo pointed to a small mountain of kits near the stall.

Shinobu simply said, "Tama's clothes."

Leo's mouth twitched. However he didn't make any comment.

"Where were you headed next?"

Shinobu pinched Tama's cheek and said, "She wanted to see a mermaid so I was planning to go to Fishman Island."

Leo smiled, "Then let's go."
