260 260. Major News

The five elders felt as if the world was spinning. The supreme ruler they revered was split in half and laid on the ground as a lump of flesh and blood.

Leo turned his eyes over in their direction. He took a step forward and disappeared from where he stood.

In a split second he was standing infront of one of the elders.

The elder looked horrified when Leo suddenly popped up infront of him. He exploded with power as haki condensed over his body.

Leo didn't take out his sword and simply slashed with his palm as a blade.

An overbearing sword intent fell on the elder. The haki and Tekkai the elder used provided nothing in defence.

Blood spilled as the elder flew through the air. He crashed into an artificial mountain some distance away.

Dragon, Aokiji and the rest pressed on. With Leo joining in the other elders were severely injured in a matter of seconds.

The elders were drenched in their own blood. They looked at the mountain of corpses all around them in rage and despair.

Staring at Leo one of them said, "Even if you kill us you won't be able to completely wipe out our existence."

Leo agreed with the man and said, "I know. For an organisation that stood tall for nine hundred years your foundations must be very deep."

"That's why it took me so long to reach this step."

Hearing his words the elders felt a bad premonition in their hearts.

Leo continued, "If it's just killing you lot I could have done that at any moment. However killing you won't remove the root of evil. So it took me and my friends two whole years to map out everything, to come with a plan to wipe out every single one of you."

What?!

"Hmph! You can never imagine the depths of the World Government!"

Leo curled his lips, "It should be about time."

As he spoke the den-den mushi the elders had on them rang at the same time. All of them felt a bad feeling in their heart as they picked up the call.

"Elder! Our Base #04 is under attack!"

"Requesting reinforcements, Base #25 is under attack."

"Base #32 has fallen!"

Reports kept coming non stop. The voices from the den-den mushi were filled with fear and despair.

The elders stood rooted on their spot. Their bodies trembled as they looked at Leo.

"Ho-How is this possible?!"

At this point Dragon spoke up.

"Obtaining intelligence about every base the World Government had all over the world was a very tedious. I lost a lot of men. After two years of sacrifice we finally got everything we needed."

"I was surprised at the sheer number of bases you had spanning across the world. With the help of fishman we were able to reach even the deepest of seas. And there is no lack for men who want to get rid of you lot."

"When this day pass, there won't be any more celestial dragons, there won't be any more of your hypocrisy. The world will change for the better."

As his words died down a sword ray flashed. Five heads flew into the air and fell down with a thud.

Leo and the rest waited. After a while the space infront if the twisted and Flare walked out. He looked like he went through an arduous battle.

Dali grinned, "Dude, you lack stamina."

Flare glared at him, "Why don't you try moving more than a thousand people through space?!"

Dali threw up his arms and shrugged.

Leo broke them off and said, "Let head back. Our work isn't done yet."

Dragon and the rest nodded.

Flare gathered his remaining strength and wrapped around with his power, teleporting everyone back to Dragon - Tiger Island.

When they got back Dragon said to Leo, "I'll be heading back. Without the World Government my work can proceed pick up speed."

Leo nodded.

As he watched Dragon leave he took out his den-den mushi and called someone.

"Sengoku-san, call every senior marine for an emergency meeting. Can you do it in an hour?"

"Alright."

Sengoku spoke on point and hung up.

Leo turned to Flare, "Rest up. We will be heading to Navy HQ in an hour."

Though Flare knew all of this before hand he still cried internally. He was spent from all the moving around.

Navy HQ.

Sengoku called for an emergency meeting. Every marine above the rank of a captain was asked to be present.

"What's with Sengoku-san? Why did he call for an emergency meeting?"

"Who knows. Anyway, we will know soon."

"By the way, that kid who fought against Fleet Admiral Akainu, where did he pop out from?"

"I heard from my subordinates that his name is Coby. He is Vice Admiral Garp's subordinate and student."

"Rumble-Rumble fruit... man, that's one terrifying devil fruit."

The marines were gossiping while waiting for the rest of the group to arrive.

After an hour every marine had gathered.

Sengoku, Garp and Z walked in to the conference room. Following them were Coby, Akainu and Kizaru.

Akainu kept glaring at Coby who was smiling awkwardly.

Sengoku, Garp and Z took the head seat. Akainu and Kizaru sat beside them. As for Coby, he stood behind Garp.

Sengoku coughed and got everyone's attention before speaking, "I've called you all here to announce two things."

"First, the World Government is no more. Everyone, starting from the five elders to the celestial dragons have been killed off. Every single base they had all around world has been destroyed."

"Second, the Navy will no longer be a militarised organisation."

Everyone failed to respond immediately. After a short pause the room erupted into chaos.

"The World Government is gone!?"

"Sengoku-san, is this a joke? Who could do something like that?"

"What do you mean by the Navy will no longer be a militarised organisation?"

"Are we being disbanded?"

A lot of questions rang out.

Akainu and Kizaru were also stunned. They also had a lot of questions. Especially Akainu. His mind was a mess. He had a faint idea as to who did it. But it was way too incredible to be true.

Sengoku, Garp and Z sat like statues and let them speak. After a while Z slammed his fist on the table.

"Show some manners, you stinking brats!"

The marines calmed down almost immediately.

As a senior marine and a past admiral the prestige Z had in the Navy was immense. A lot of these people were students.

One of the Vice Admirals, Momonga asked, "Teacher Z, can you explain what's happening? How could the World Government be destroyed? Who could do such a thing? What's this about the Navy?"

It was Garp who spoke.

"That brat will explain everything. By the way, where is he? Why is he making three old men wait for him?"

As soon as he spoke a voice rebutted him, "Old man, are you talking about me?"

Everyone looked at the owner of the voice.

Leo walked out from a ripple in the air. Beside him were Aokiji, Issho, Mace, Dali and Flare.

"You're late!"

Garp grumbled.

Leo looked at him with a light smile. He took out a pack of cookies and said, "I was packing some cookies Shinobu made, guess you don't need them."

He was about to put them away when a large hand snatched it from him.

"Well, you aren't that late."

Munch. Munch.

Garp opened the packet and started to eat without a care for the world.

Sengoku rubbed his forehead while Z had a popped vein on his forehead as they looked at Garp.

Leo smiled and shook his head. He turned to face everyone.

"I know everyone has doubts. The World Government is no more. They have been wiped out from existence almost half an hour ago."

The room went into an uproar.

Some marine present had doubts. But they believed Leo wouldn't lie about such a thing.
