2 Chapter 2: You Have a Bad Sense of Style, Don't You?

The King leads Saiba to a large wooden door. It opens on its own as a large room is revealed and it is filled with different types of armor.

Saiba's eyes sparkle with excitement as he starts to dash around the room, trying on as many different types of armor as he can.

First, he takes a heavy-class armor set. It's very bulky and it's forged with pure steel. Saiba manages to put it on, but he topples over due to the weight. He lays on the ground, disappointed and mumbles,

"I don't think that's the right one for me..."

Next, he moves on to a light-class armor set. It resembles a Magical Girl outfit straight out of an anime. He puts it on and poses like a Magical Girl. King Gladius gives him a look of confusion while Saiba gets embarrassed and blurts out,

"Wait no! I'm a hero! Not some Magical Girl!"

Trying to forget about what just happened, he moves on to the next armor set. This time, he picks out a medium-class armor set.

It consists of a chestplate, gauntlets, and boots. The armor is light but sturdy and it was forged with a rare ore called Graystone. It also came with a sleek, crimson robe to finish the look.

Saiba puts on the armor and starts to jump around to get a good feel for it. He shouts over to King,

"Mr. Gladius, I think this is the right armor!"

Gladius replies,

"Splendid! Now we can move on to the next room!"

King Gladius walks through another door into an even bigger room filled with different types of weapons this time. Some are big, some are small. Some are long range, some are short range. Some are useful, some... not so useful.

Saiba gets even more fired up as he runs around the room looking for the right weapon.

First, he picks up a bazooka-looking weapon. He tries to pick up the heavy piece of machinery, but he has some trouble due to the size. This causes him to accidentally press the trigger, sending out a small missile that hits the wall causing an explosion. The explosion damages some weapons and a little bit of the wall as well. King Gladius looks slightly annoyed as he says,

"Please don't make a mess in this room Hero."

Saiba tiptoes away like nothing happened and picks up a glowing, blue bow. He asks the King,

"How do I use this thing?"

King Gladius answers,

"Just aim at where you want shoot and pretend like you have an arrow in your hand!"

Saiba finds some targets on the wall and takes aim. He pulls back on the bowstring and a blue arrow appears out of nowhere. He releases and completely misses the target. He does this a few more times, completely missing every time. He puts down the bow and mutters with a sorrowed expression,

"I don't think this is the one for me..."

Lastly, Saiba sees a long, black katana with a bright, crimson aura surrounding it. He picks it up and gives it a few good swings. It feels perfect in his hands. He decides he wants the weapon as he tells the King,

"Hey! Mr. Gladius, I think I'll take this one!"

The King fell asleep from waiting but is suddenly woken up by Saiba's shouts. He shouts back at Saiba,

"Excellent! You almost resemble a villain with your dark attire, wouldn't you agree? Oh I know! You have a bad sense of style, don't you? But that matters not! Let us now continue to the final part of your preparation!"
