I'M THE VOID

One day, a grey little sphere somehow woke up.

If it could understand any language, it would think:

Where am I?

What am I?

As if it could somehow see its surroundings, it could feel that there was nothing around it.

It then tried to look at itself, and he still couldn't guess what he was, as all he saw was a grey little sphere.

Then, out of nowhere, something came to mind.

I'm the void.

What does that even mean?

He asked, knowing that nobody would answer.

Then he noticed a little grey ball a bit like him.

He tried talking to it, but to no avail.

Hey, do you know where we are?

The floating ball didn't respond.

As he was getting impatient, something happened.

It suddenly attacked by creating an arm. Frightened, he dodged and retaliated the same way as a reflex, but the other grey ball didn't dodge and died.

He then understood to never let his guard down.

As he looked at the remains of the other grey ball, he thought:

Will I grow larger if I absorb its remains? (1)

After absorbing the other grey ball, he became about one-and-a-half the size of the other grey ball. For some reason, he was aware that he had reached the maximum size.He's still not sure why he suddenly gains useful knowledge at the right time, but he doesn't need to think about it right now.

All he needed to know was that he had to evolve to grow bigger and how to do it.
