5 Practice Makes Perfect

" My lord wait! Your humble servant Bastil would like to ask a favor from you. Could you sign something for me !"

It was Bastil who was running, It seems that bastil immediately run after seeing wen jun come back from doing his business.

Bastil doesn't want to disturb wen jun from doing his business because he knew if someone of high position like wen jun were to go undercover then something big must be happening.

He knew that wen jun been going to the town library these past few days and although it does make him curious.

He knew he shouldn't bite more than he could chew. He basically forced wen jun to stay in his home by making the townspeople scared of him so he won't want to offend wen jun more than he did because he still wants to be on good terms to ask that favor from wen jun.

In his hand, Bastil was holding some sort of scroll. It was a permission scroll that is written in the old vampire language so only high-ranking members of vampire society could understand them.

In it was written a letter of approval to stay and do research in the ruins for ten years. This type of scroll written in the old vampire language can only be signed with pure-blood vampire golden blood for it to be legal.

Bastil knows that his approval would be rejected by wen jun. The time of ten years in the ruins can be considered as a pretty long time even if vampires do live a long life of thousands of years.

He came prepared to be rejected but he still wants to try his luck with this pure-blood that he never met before.

Bastil has done a bit of investigation on wen jun and it seems that his sources find out that wen jun first appeared near the ruins.

Thinking that wen jun might also be a researcher as well push him to his decision now. He then also finds out that he have pardoned a sinner that dares to inflict damage to his skin so with the image of wen jun as a benevolent lord in his eyes and with the hope for wen jun having the spirit of a researcher and understands his feeling of wanting to learn more about the ruins.

Bastil braves himself to ask for wen jun approval.

Bastil showed the scroll to wen jun and as wen jun read the content of the scroll bastil could only hope that he can get his approval while fidgeting with his hand waiting for wen jun answer.

Wen jun could understand what was written on the scroll. To his eye, the writing on the scroll looks like some weird symbol but strangely he could understand what it says.

He assumes that Bastil want him to use his blood to sign it because on the very last sentence of the scroll was written " approval of golden blood"

Wen jun bite his finger a little bit and sign the scroll. He didn't find any abnormalities about the scroll because what was written on it was basically just asking for approval to enter the ancient ruins of vampires which he could care less about.

'Eh?" Bastil exclaimed

He was surprised by how easily he got the approval from this pure-blood vampire.

He was expecting to be rejected for the first few hundred attempts and needing to do some biddings for wen jun to get his approval but no he got it on his first try and what's more, it's for a whole ten year's.

Bastil knee couldn't stop trembling and gave up on him. He could only fell into tears and just utter the word thank you, my lord, before he just cries out loud non-stop.

wen jun was shocked by his actions of suddenly crying on the ground. Bastil looks so pitiful in his eyes to the point he wants to comfort the poor old man but he's currently acting as a high and mighty lord. He doesn't want to blow his cover just yet.

Bastil gets up and bows to wen jun after he finishes crying. Before he go he ask permission from wen jun to leave. wen jun who see how pitiful Bastil is agreed and allow Bastil to go.

Wen jun entered his room and just sit on the bed while thinking about what he have learned today in the library.

Wen jun actually officially have finished reading everything in the library by today. He was also surprised by this, he felt like he could remember everything that he have read.

Even though right now he felt like his head is empty. when he thinks about what he wants to know the answer he got from the library books just pop up in his head.

Wen jun felt like he have enough knowledge about this world already. Even though his life living under Bastil was comfortable with food coming whenever he asks and warm bath ready whenever he wants to bath.

He don't really like the idea of him freeloading at someone's house that he don't really know that well. And everyday life is very boring for him because there's no anime to watch, no game to play, and no good stuff to read.

Wen jun have decided that he want to leave this town as soon as he could use some of his abilities as a vampire.

He actually found a book, a storybook about the ruler of vampires the Vampire Lord. there's not much info in it except saying that the vampire lord is one of the strongest existence that ever appeared in this world.

Wen jun himself is basically a vampire lord now because he believes that his white hair and red-eye are because of the vampire lord series from the game he played before. And the fact that he is a vampire just makes him believe more and more that he is a vampire lord.

Wen jun spent his day's training now. Trying to do any sort of vampire stuff repeatedly for the past few days while locking himself in his room.

After two weeks or so wen jun efforts come to fruition. He could release a domineering aura that he could feel and turn into a bat that is made of some sort of black and red mist.

The more he uses his skill the more he get used to it. It's to the point that he feels like he was born and have been living his whole life as a bat whenever he transform.

When wen jun first train to release his aura the whole town could actually feel it. Even the half-ling felt some of his mighty aura and was shock by it because they never been oppressed by an aura of a high-tier vampire.

Bastil who was close to wen jun could feel the aura head-on. He felt like he going to be blown to nothingness if he were to disturb wen jun from whatever he was doing.

As wen jun training continues, he starts to feel like using his abilities is just like breathing to him.

Wen jun could turn into a bat with no problem he could lift stuff using only his will just like how those force from star wars works. Wen jun knew there's so much more that he could do it's just he still don't know how to do it yet.

One month or so have passed and wen jun. have achieved some mastery in his ability. He's confident now that he could at least survive in the outside world with no problems.

If he encountered a dangerous enemy he could just fly and be safe from it. He's planning to go to a nearby city to see the difference between a backwater town that have less than five thousand population and a city full of vampires.

As wen jun was preparing the route he want to take to go to the next city

Knock! Knock!
