10 Chapter 7: First quest
Moving down the streets, Emyrs and Alice arrived at a tavern called Fearless Cellos tavern. Parking the carriage on the taverns parking area, Emyrs and Alice walked in the tavern. A bulky middle-aged man with scars all around his body came and greet them.
Bulky man:(glanced at them) Having a drink or staying here?
Emyrs: Staying 3 nights for 2. One room with a single large bed.
Bulky man:(took out a key from the key rack behind him) That will be 50 copper per night. As for meals, an additional 20 copper will be needed for each person.
Emyrs:(handed over 1 silver 90 copper and grabs the key) 2 meals then.
Bulky man: Served now or later?
Emyrs: Serve around 8pm and bring it to our room too.
Bulky man:(nodded) Alright. By the way your room is at the 3rd floor on the right, room 26.
Emyrs and Alice walked up the tavern to the 3rd floor turned right and went into room 26 near the end of the hall way. Afterwards, they had a chat, ate their meals, which was a hearty and well-seasoned portage, and had a rest.
The next morning

Emyrs woke up with Alice in his chest. They tidied up their bed and headed to the adventures guild.
The adventures guild was surprisingly empty, probably because most adventurers had already gone out for quest, and Ana was already at the reception area, doing her duty as a receptionist.
Ana:(politely) I had finished making your adventurers card. Do you want to collect it now?
Emyrs: Sure.
Ana, takes out 2 iron cards form her desk and passes it to Emyrs and Alice

Ana:(explained) Everyone will start with G rank. To rank up you would need to complete 10 quest of those one rank or higher than your current rank and you can only sign up as much as 3 quest at one time. As for benefits of a higher rank, G - E rank will have an iron adventurers card with no perks. D - C rank will have a copper adventurers card and will be counted as a veteran, they would be able to go to any human towns or city without needing an entrance fee. B rank will have a silver adventurers card and have the same power as a baron. A rank will have a gold adventurers card and have the same power as a viscount or a count depending on their strength and contribution to the adventures guild. They would also get a 10% discount on all items. As for S rank, they would have a black diamond adventurers card and have the same power as a marquis or a duke, depending on their strength and contribution to the adventures guild. They would also get a special tax-free life.
Emyrs: Where do we accept quest?
Ana: (pointed at the huge notice board at the left wall of the adventures guild) There just pick any one that is not more than 1 ranks higher than you and bring it here so that I can bind the quest to you. Also, would you like to form a team? You could also recruit other adventurers by placing a recruitment form on the recruitment board at the left side of the adventures guild.
Emyrs: Then I would like to form a team with her. (Pointed at Alice)
Ana: Alright then, let me register you guys... done. Also, a team would need to complete twice as much to rank up as a team but everyone in your team will follow the team rank as their own rank. After dismantling the team everyone in the team will fall 2 ranks than their team rank and go on their separate ways.
Emyrs:(mumbling) Why the late explanation though... Well, whatever.
Emyrs and Alice walked towards the quest board. There was a bunch of quest.

A rank- obtain a vampire heart. Reward: 12 gold.

After searching for suitable quests. Emyrs picked a few and handed it over to Ana.
F rank- slay 10 goblins. Reward: 20 copper.
F rank- slay 2 goblin warriors. Reward: 50 copper.
F rank- inspects and report the conditions of the Goblin mine. Reward: 40 copper.
Ana: You sure do have confidence. (Smiled) I guess it wouldnt be a problem for a lvl 23 assassin like you but keep that girl safe. Shes only lvl 6.
Emyrs: I will.
And if they go to their first quest...
