29 Chapter 27

[General POV]

After Toneri read the letter, he was left dumbfounded and looked around him. Rows and rows of books..? Manuals...? Maine both. There are a lot of them here.

'Seriously, what kind of skewed world did I transmigrated into...' He thought

He then placed back the letter and looked around the shelves. He took some out and read their titles before placing them back in if it's something that he doesn't need. Some of them are just basics of how to survive in the wilderness in harsh conditions or ways to fight an enemy five times as strong as you, physically. There was even one that teaches how to tackle a mountain Tiger. Which was pretty a badass manual that Toneri picked up.

Anyways, he continued to look through each shelf to look for some interesting stuff. He picked a few and left some behind as some of the books/manuals are already destroyed or unreadable.

And finally, he saw a book on a pedestal. It had a red cover with silver linings and looked unnaturally good-looking. Toneri approached the pedestal and picked up the book and opened it.

From there, he was introduced to the basic training, the diet, the daily routine, and finally the way to practice Ryūsui Gansai-ken, in order. The last step was quite harsh and required a specific location and weather to be present.

But, Toneri soon found out that the intent behind each training was to improve the user's speed, momentum, and burst, more specifically, the hands. As the Ryūsui Gansai-ken is created to be swift and deadly.

Was he fast? Yes. Does he have precise control of his body? He flows chakra through his chakra coils every time he performs a Jutsu, of course, he has good control. Is he good at releasing his strength? Fairly.

So Toneri concluded that he may be able to perform it. 'I hope.'

He then grabbed the manual and left the room. He once again found himself in an open space surrounded by majestic giant pillars supporting the structure he was in.

He sat in a lotus position and placed his hand on his chin and started thinking. 'Now. What should I do? Learn some jutsus by performing random hand seals and releasing chakras into them or learn this manual?'

But, it was not a second later that he made up a choice. 'Yeah, learning Jutsu is much more important than a hand-to-hand combat technique.'

After that decision, he exited the place he was in and arrived at the wide space that he walked over earlier to get here. It was a large space covered by stone slabs which Toneri thinks by now was a training area for the disciples of this place.

He then walked to the very center and stood there. Under the blazing hot sun of the afternoon, he started making hand seals.

'Let's start with the basic jutsus...'

Toneri then channeled his chakra to his throat and kneaded it to fire. This method of kneading chakra is similar to how Rasengan is formed. Gradually, that warm feeling in his throat started to rise in temperature until finally—

*FOOM!*

A giant fireball was spewed out of Toneri's mouth. It was neither too small nor too big. It was just a perfect fireball that can swallow a whole person or three.

After releasing all of it, what was left on the spot the fireball was spewed on was a broken piece of slabs with burnt marks.

Seeing the results, Toneri nodded to himself. 'It seems like it works... Now then...'

[Toneri's POV]

Alright, let's start.

Hand seals were made by Indra Otsutsuki to channel the chakra stored inside a person to certain parts of their body and make a 'Jutsu'. In short, using hand seals direct chakra flows to the desired outcome. And by making the correct hand seals, one will be able to conduct much more complex Jutsus...

Alright... What seal should I start with... Oh! I know!

Clasping both of my arms together, I made the snake seal. I then channeled chakra to it and unsurprisingly, nothing happened. That is because this is only a single hand seal. It will need more to make the desired outcome...

Alright, the next one is the ram hand seal. I moved my hand to a vertical hand sign with the left hand on top and channeled chakra once more. And once again, nothing happened.

"Looks like everything's still good..." I muttered

I then moved on to the next one. Monkey. I changed my hands again to make a hand seal comprised of both of my arms lying flat on each other.

But this... This one was differe— "OUCH!"

Removing both of my hands, I swayed my hand together and looked at them. Smoke was coming off and my palm was slightly reddish. 'Wait... Is this...?!'

Fire Release!

Though, a bit nerfed... But it's fine! It's progress!

Haha! So I got my desired Jutsu! Hmm... If I follow this hand seal path, will I get more flame Jutsu? I better do it. Although it will hurt my hands, it's worth it to discover more Jutsu.

And that's how I spent the literal whole day to. Not even taking a break to eat or drink. Just pure concentration to the training.

[General POV]

While Toneri was busy performing and testing various Jutsu by making hand seals and hurting himself with unknown Jutsus that came out, there was a bit of a problem rising on the other side of the world.

Neil Ramos. A hunter from South America. Currently, he and his guild were recruited to the mass gate clearing in the US. Yes, the mass gate clearing is happening worldwide. Not just Japan.

When they arrived there, their guild master invited them for a drink which they happily followed.

It was a bustling night. The place they decided to drink at was a place where many people would go as to why there are many small eateries here.

After about 3 hours of drinking, the guild leader and members decided it was enough as some of them were already drunk. That includes Neil.

"Hey... Are you sure you're fine to walk alone...?" Asked one of Neil's friends in the guild

"Yeah... Yeah... I'm fine... Just a little dizzy. But I'm fine..." He replied as he swayed a bit

Seeing Neil like this, his friend didn't take this as an excuse and decided to go with him to the place they temporarily stay at.

It was already 12 AM in the night and the road they were walking on was already dead silent. Not many people were seen walking anymore. Occasionally, they would encounter one or two people.

Turning to another road, Neil saw something in the side of his eye. It was a shadowy figure that looked like it fell over.

"Hey... Andrew... What's that...?" He asked his friend and pointed at the small alleyway where he saw the shadowy figure.

Andrew looked at where his friend was pointing and also saw a shadowy figure. But this time, it dropped off something and ran away.

'What the...'

Seeing the suspicious act, Andrew told Neil to get ready for a fight as they might have encountered something bad. Neil mustered all of his remaining will and got a semi-sober state.

Andrew carefully approached the alleyway while getting his fire magic ready. He peeked at the alleyway and slowly illuminated the dark place with his flame.

And at that moment, he finally saw what the shadowy figure dropped.

There, laying on the ground, a person with unnaturally pale skin and disfigured figure was present. There was no expression on its face as it just lays there. The most horrifying thing was that its face was also disfigured and is missing some parts.

Like a normal human being encountering this sign, Andrew got horrified and immediately told Neil what he saw and called the local police.

A/N: I have so many big ideas waiting... But I have to slowly build my way up to it... :(

It's like you're waiting for an author to update their work but in my case, I'm the author. Sadge :(

Btw, how many are still reading this?

And another note, that shadowy figure wasn't Selner :)

And no, it's not a character from Naruto that crossed over here. That would be a too easy-to-guess plot. Like I said, I have BIG ideas ;)
