"How shameless!"

Bai Long yells with a scowl in his face. Unlike his emotionless face before. He was glaring at me with his glowing cold silver eyes.

Shameless? Me? Hahaha, it's called being wise! dear young'un. Earlier I planned to finish the battle quickly so that he won't activate his ability.

Now that failed, I should be more alert now. Well, that's unfortunate, it seems not all plans go well.

I made the first move as I dash to him. Bai Long with his sword in hand was waiting like a wolf stalking its prey.

'If he has a long-range ability, he would've shot something or did something by now but he didn't. So that means it isn't some long-range thingy.'

I'm guessing it's a mid or short-range type of ability and it's a 50/50 percent chance that it involves his sword.

Shit, Now that I'm thinking about it. I don't know what kind of ability I'm up against. If there is only a way to discover it.

Should I use 'that'?

But 'that' only evaluates an Ability's tier. The 'that' I'm talking about is called Tier Assessment.

This is used by doctors when checking a kid's incoming awakening. This information is basically useless for Luke because he doesn't have an ability and he never experienced it before.

But how this works is the goddess Gaia or Gaea grants a random ability to a newborn. Because of this foreign power, it will corrode a child's body. She will then seal this ability because of the dangerous unknown power this contains. For an unknown reason. Once the kid reaches the age of ten, the ability will then be unsealed.

After that, the doctors will then assess the ability and its tier. This is also used by Adventurers and even most of the Experts use this when they confront an unknown enemy inside a dungeon. How this works is it evaluates an Ability into 4 parts.

First is 'Power' which means the actual destruction it can cause. An example is Ken's ability, his ability is to summon or create a big Ice snake which can fight one on one with an Orc, who can punch through a bus. His 'Power' can be assessed as mid-tier.

Next is 'Speed'. it is self-explanatory as to how fast a what or who is. Another example is Kendra's ability. The ability to summon a giant Ice bird for transportation is a big help when traveling. Her 'Speed' which I guess can be assessed as mid-tier.

'Defense', this depends on how you use your ability for defense. For example, the twins' can use their pets to block an attack and if it manages to withstand then it will also be classified for defense.

Last is 'Range'. It is the ability's area of reach or how far it's area of effect. This one is pretty self-explanatory.

Back to the situation. Since I'm completely clueless about his ability, I thought using my daggers to test something that can give me a slight clue.

I reach for my bag and information about my bag's inventory entered my mind. I grab 1 dagger and the dagger looks like a very short sword.

Sword in my right hand and dagger in my left hand. In this situation, I have three paths to go.

"Yaoi?!" yelled by a girl totally excited about what she heard. All the girls 'Kyaa!' in reaction.

The crowd then went loud and were boo'ing the boring battle between us.

'Yaoi my ass!' I thought.

Back to the situation, a wise thing to do is to test the waters first. Which means throwing a dagger. Then wait for his reaction maybe after that, I charge.

'Here goes nothing!'

Raising the dagger by my head, I aim it vertically like throwing a kunai. I pulled my left arm to the side for momentum or to give it more force.

Then I threw it.

The dagger was spinning rapidly and It was more like an axe have been threw rather than a dagger. Because I can hear it cutting through the air.

Bai Long difficultly parried it to the side. I quickly rushed in front of him, taken aback by how fast I was. I could even attack him if I want to, even close enough to hack away his head.

But I knew that if I attack his neck or head, he will then somehow dodge it. Like earlier, he surprisingly dodged an attack that will end the match.

Hm? Earlier I landed an attack on his left flank. I can see blood on his waist, indicating it was bleeding.

An evil smile formed on my face. Instead of attacking his neck which I predicted to be dodgeable by him. Why don't I trick him and land on the same spot. 'Hehehe~' Oh god I'm enjoying this.

Proceeding to the new plan I then made a large swing to his neck and like I predicted he dodged it. He dodged it by moving his head backwards.

Not only he moved his head backwards, but his neck also became elongated. His neck elongated like a snake, moving his head far from my sword.

Seeing his neck like that, it reminded me of a movie with four adult superheroes. And Now that I think about it. Didn't I just discover his ability, with that realization it gave me the confidence to kill him.

My swing's trajectory changed, it was now cleanly and swiftly going to the cut I made earlier. I crouched below him, aiming for a big slice to his stomach.

I then slash his left waist and gave all my strength to deal with the most amount of damage I can do. The sword then came out of his stomach, splattering all the blood to the air.

Bai Long was in total shock because Luke was really fast.

In a second he threw a heavy dagger, I had a hard time deflecting that 'heavy thing'. Then a sword came to slash my neck, luckily I dodged it.

But I came to realize that it was only a fluke and the true attack was to my waist. He targeted the cut he made earlier which was bleeding. The sword effortlessly entered inside the cut area and it needs an enormous amount of strength for it to get ripped until to the stomach.

'HOW?'

'In a blink of an eye, I was killed just like that'

My mind became blank for a second and then pain invaded my whole body and mind.

I fell onto my back, lying on the ground with my stomach open in the air bleeding. Blood gushed out my mouth and I was having a hard time breathing. I can't do anything because if I move the pain will sting more.

"If you can stretch that long why didn't you attack?"

'This guy, after giving me a painful defeat. He has the face to question me this? I can't even talk with all the blood in my mouth'

"Hmm if he used his ability like that? then won't I be just raining cuts to his stretched limbs?"
