8 Finally, I have Friends

"Show rank" I said to the air as a blue window appeared in front of me and revealed my rank. Ken and Kendra were surprised at what they saw and that I was saying the truth.

"Impossible! you look strong though" Ken was shocked and said that I was strong, I chuckled and replied to him.

"Well looks can be deceiving Ken, don't always rely on your analyzing skills" Ken was enlightened by my words and nodded about it.

"Is that so then what is your ability if I may ask" Kendra politely asked with her hand raised like she was a student in a classroom.

"Guys please we are friends now so don't be so formal around me, Ok?" After that, the two nodded in synchronize. 'Twins really do have synchronized minds' I thought noticing their movements and blinking are synchronized.

"So Luke what is your ability?" Ken asked when he pulled out a notebook and pen from inside his blue backpack. 'Hmm...should I tell them?...what's to hide if there's nothing to hide?' I stared at Ken who opened his notebook and was ready to list my ability in a blank paper.

"Before I tell you guys mine, you should tell yours" I said hoping for them to forget mine and move on.

"Oh mine's an ice snake" Ken said.

"And mine's an ice bird" Kendra said.

"What's yours?" They both said. 'They really wanna know mine' I thought well here goes nothing.

"My ability is...none, I have no powers" I smilingly said, fully expecting on what their reaction is.

"Eh, None?" Ken was surprised as he closed his notebook.

'At least this time they trusted me' I thought while smiling to them.

"You have no ability? but you are R99?" Ken was confused as he was having a hard time discovering my strength.

"It's the truth even though I have no proof but I raised my rank with my own strength" I was enjoying the confusion in front of me, as Ken has a confused look while Kendra was looking at me with amazement.

"Oh, I get it now! it's your own body" Ken discovered it with excitement.

"That's some dedication, Luke" Ken said opening his notebook. "But a body of a human has limits" He stated something I know long ago.

"But my heart and mind are limitless" I remembered that I have heard this somewhere on the internet and me unconsciously answering it.

Without me knowing the two people in front of me looked amazed. Then I also noticed that my words were like some protagonist would say.

"Well my body won't stop me from becoming an Adventurer" I said not realizing I have this crazy smile in my face and that my fists are clenched under the table.

"So wanna do a mission?" I asked them as my body is aching for a battle, Whenever I get excited my body craves for a battle. It's like my blood came from a long line of battle maniacs.

They agreed and we went to the Mission Hall, but before that they notice my bag.

"Luke what's that in your waist" Kendra said pointing at my bag which has been given by the fairy. I turned it into a fanny pack for it to not obstruct my movements. When fighting with a big bag on your back, it will obstruct your movement and so I came up with a bag that is small. But I don't worry about the capacity because when I put my shoe, it magically disappeared but when I want to take it out, it magically appeared.

I haven't put food yet since I just recently got this and I have to experiment with it later.

"Oh, it's just a bag I bought" I lied and they believed it but for some reason, I can feel that they have good eyes for finding artifacts. Now that is essential for an adventurer if you can train that eye really well, then not just artifacts but maybe you can even see traps and hidden dangers with it.

Inside the Mission Hall, different from before the middle and high tier sections have people now but just a few. I said to the twins to follow me, they immediately panicked when I was going to the middle tier section.

"Shhh~" With my index finger at the front of my lips I signaled them to be quiet and to trust me.

When we got in front of the board with no problems, I look for a mission that we low tier can handle. Seriously though is the middle tiers this stupid to not notice us?...and speak of the devil.

"Hey! you trio look suspicious!" said by a boy of our age with spiky red hair and sharp red vertical eyes, the boy wears a gi and looks like a martial artist.

'A martial artist'

I turned to face the twins and said, "So are we in a party?" I'm gonna do a quick rip of a paper to escape this guy.

"Y-you h-have to do is say p-party a-and say our n-names" Ken nervously said while looking at the redhead guy.

"Party, Ken and Kendra" After that a blue screen in front of the twins and they accepted. Now I should deal with the redhead if we escaped without answering to him then his suspicion will be correct so a great way to solve this is to confront it.

I lowered my head and said to the twins, "Follow my lead" The twins heard it and nodded.

"You're ruining our peaceful mood, redhead" I said with my eyes sharp as a dagger. I put my hands in my pocket and raised my head to him.

I walk in front of him and my face was really near to his face, I don't know what aura I'm emitting right now but I can see him sweating well if it's working proceed to the plan.

"If you're gonna shut up then why didn't you do it before?" I harshly said to him, wait am I that scary the boy lowered his eyes and he's sweating.

'Okay, phase 2!' I joyously thought.

"I'm gonna slide it, Just.This.Once. If you talk to me with that tone again" I raised my hand near to his face and clenched my fingers so tightly that it produces crack sounds.

"Am I clear" I whispered to his ear and he was nodding crazy. "Okay you're free" I said turning around and on to the twin's place. I grab a paper with Orc Extermination in it and rip it.

We vanished just like that and the Mission Hall was still quiet. What Luke didn't know is that his acting was too realistic and his aura made the people around watching the scene feel intimidated too.

And the red hair boy he intimidated was the younger brother of the strongest middle-tier ranker, with this news a big problem is coming for Luke.
