Chapter 03: Nero Vermillion

(Nero's POV)
In the middle of the sea, I was swimming underwater in the middle of the sea, hunting fish.
Living in Tenrou Island for more than three years made my skin complexion tanned. The clothes that have been brought with me from my previous life are already ripped and unusable so I sold some of the fishes I caught in coast of Akane beach to buy our daily needs like clothes, spices, cooking utensils and other basic needs. I use a small boat I created to travel to the other side coast.
Looking around under the sea, it was amazing and beautiful just like those living corals reeves on the sea grounds.
I saw a group of fish swimming together ahead of me.
Holding a fishing net, I placed my palm behind it.
Universal pull!
*Peeeeeeewww!*
A slightly powerful attractive force pulled the fishes towards the net, trapping all of them inside. I immediately swam up to the surface before I ran out of oxygen.
Resurfacing, I swam to my boat then threw the fishes I caught inside. I climbed up inside my boat and paddled back home to Tenrou Island.
Arriving near the Island, I saw Lolibaba waving at me like a child at the shore.
When I landed on the shore, she immediately went towards me.
"Nero, did you catch anything?" she asked me cheerfully.
"Of course, as always Lolibaba. I caught a lot of them." I responded with a proud tone.
"Yehey!" Lolibaba rejoiced.
"Hey, Lolibaba. I just have something curiously wanted to ask." I called her and said.
She stopped and looked at me,
"Huh? What is it, Nero?"
"Since you're on incorporeal form and also a thought projection, you're practically a ghost right? How can you taste the food I made?" I explained and asked.
"...Now, I think about it. In this form, I should be able eat any food but I shouldn't able to taste them. That's strange..."
She glanced at me, looking at my body from head to toe.
"But, there's some kind of strange magic that was emitting and flowing around your body. It's a magic that's totally unknown to me that it's affecting anything you make. I wonder what is it, I really curious."
That Yandere Goddess must did something on my body when she reincarnated me.
"I don't know Lolibaba, what does it taste like when you tried eat a fruits from this Island?" I asked.
"I taste nothing, Nero. Unless you prepared and turned them into one of your very delicious dishes like fruit salad and fruit tart."
"Hmmm... It's really strange. But I don't want to think to much about it. I will just called it 'Cooking Magic', a magic that even make ghost taste my cookings. How does it sounds like, Lolibaba?"
"Well, I don't understand it either. Let's just called it like that. Anyway, what's for lunch today?"
"I'm going with Garlic butter fish for our lunch. I caught another delicious looking fish that seems edible."

"Wow! It sounds good. I can't wait to taste it." Lolibaba happily said.
"Then, let's go, Lolibaba."
"Yes."
Lolibaba went to her tomb happily, waiting for me to finish cooking.
I went to the old building of the Red Lizard Guild to cook. This old building is where I'm staying, living for more than three years with Lolibaba.
After I finished cooking, I placed my dish on big leaves then I went out and go to Lolibaba's tomb.
Arriving at Lolibaba's tomb.
"Huh?"
She was not there.
I tried to look for her around.
"Lolibaba, where are you? Let's eat already before the food gets cold."
...
No response.
"Lolibaba... If you really want to play hide and seek before lunch, then I'll show how faster I became." I placed the dish on top of Lolibaba's tomb then I stretched my body.
I heard footsteps walking behind me.
"Huh?"
When I turned around and looked at them,
I saw an an extremely short, elderly man. He has black eyes and is growing bald with only the outer rims of his head containing white hair. He also has a thick white mustache. He wearing a white tunic with the Fairy Tail symbol on the left collar, and black pants, all in which was covered by a formal white coat with white fur around the edges and with the Ten Wizard Saints' symbol on the back.
He's... Makarov Dreyar. The present Guild master of the Fairy Tail Guild.
"Who are you, kid? What are you doing here in the sacred ground of our guild?" He said, staring at me with serious expression.
"That's what I should asking. I've been living here for more than three years but I even didn't see you once, old man." I responded.
"What a rude kid, I guess I have to discipline you."
"Try me, if you can." I replied, grinning.
"My name is Makarov Dreyar. The third Guild master of Fairy Tail Guild."
"Mine is Nero..."
I forgot that I have no last name yet.
"Nero, what?"
Suddenly,
'Stinky Nero, you can have my last name since I already thought of you as my grandson.' I heard Lolibaba said, using her telepathy.
Where you have been Lolibaba? I've looking for you.
'We have a guest from the Fairy Tail Guild. They visit this island once a year and you always missed them because you went fishing and went to the harbor at Akane beach. I can't show myself to them yet because I basically dead to them.'
Okay then... Thank you, Lolibaba... No! Grandma.
"Why are you being silent, kid?" the old man spoke.
"Nothing, I just felt that I have to take a dump but, it disappeared."
"This kid..."
"Actually, my full name is Nero Vermillion. I just some kid living here in this island for a long time."
He was completely shocked when he heard my full name.
"Vermillion... How are you related to the First Guild master and founder of Fairy Tail Guild, Master Mavis Vermillion?" he asked.
"Lolibaba? I'm her adopted grandson."
"Grandson? I don't remember her having any adopted child. I think you just took her last name from her tomb. I have to punish you for doing something bad, kid." he said then he became angry.
He suddenly jumped onto me, turning his arm big and attacking me with his palm.
I can sense that he's holding back because I'm a child.
He's really kind.
I just smiled.
Before he can touch me,
*PEEEEEEEWWW!*
"Huh...?!"
He felt s repelling force from me, making him unable to touch me with his giant hand.
I pointed my right palm in front of him
"Almighty Push!"
I created a very strong repulsive force, pushing away and destroying everything in front of me even the ground was shallowly dug up.
"Aaargh?!!" the old man was thrown away, rolling on the ground and going far away from me.
He tried to stand up,
"Ugh! What kind of strong magic is that?" he said in surprise.
'You ungrateful child, why did you do that to him?' Lolibaba spoke to me in telepathy.
That's because he tried to attack me but don't worry, Lolibaba. I held it back that he won't hurt that really much. The same as only pushing him away from me.
*Sigh*
Lolibaba sighed in telepathy then said,
'Then, you just have to prove to him that you're my stinky grandson.'
It should be easy if just showed up yourself to him and introduce me so things won't turned out to this.
'Sorry, Nero. It's not the time yet. You have to do it yourself and I believe in you.'
Okay, fine. What a encouraging words coming from you Lolibaba.
'Hehe.' she giggled at me.
I glanced at old man Makarov who already stood up while staring at me.
"I just have to prove to you that I'm her grandson, right? Then I'll let you choose which of the three great fairy magic should I show to you."
"What?! You know those three magic?" he spoke with surprised tone.
"Of course, I'm Lolibaba's adopted grandson. I should at least know how to use those three."
"Lolibaba... Did you just call Master Mavis a Lolibaba?"
"That's right, she doesn't seems to mind it now... Then, which of those three fairy magic, you want to see? Fairy Law, Fairy Glitter or Fairy Sphere?" I said, raising my three fingers.
Sweat started to appear on the old man's forehead.
"Oh, since there's no one I can see as enemy to target for Fairy Law and Fairy Glitter... I don't want to destroy anything here in the island anymore because I already did a lot. That leaves Fairy Sphere... it needs a bond and faith to turn into magic power but I can use my own magic power to activate it."
I slowly raised both of my arms,
"Great Fairy Magic... Fairy Sphere!"
The shore around the island suddenly lit up, creating a barrier around the whole Tenrou Island and covering it in a shape of a large sphere with a Fairy Tail mark and a stylized pair of wings emblazoned upon it.
"This!..." the old man was completely shock from what he seeing.
"Do you believe that I'm her grandson now?" I asked him with a smile.
"Okay, I believe now." he answered, giving up.
"Alright then..."
I deactivated the Fairy Sphere, making the light barrier around the island disappeared.
As I expected, that spell is really tiring to cast. I got more hungry now.
When I turned and glanced at Lolibaba's tomb.
...
The food I cooked was not there.
That Lolibaba!
