Naruto Age 8 ~ first day at the academy

In my glorious attempt at preparing for the future, I forgot to practice my throwing of kunai and shuriken, the so-called Shurikenjutsu and how did I stumble upon this you may ask, well simply put I only realized my mistake when the teacher asked us to go outside and after reaching outside he had us face a bunch of logs and handed us three kunai and four shurikens and said we would be graded on our accuracy.

Now don't get me wrong it was relatively easy to hit the target and with about a day of practice, I'm fairly certain that if not a 100% accuracy I'd have a 90% accuracy rate. But because I didn't practise it at all, I only had an average score. Other than that one hiccup the day proceeded as expected.

Taijutsu class was boring and mundane, to say the least, the only slightly interesting thing was Kiba and Sasuke what with there unusual fighting styles.

Ninjutsu class was a snooze fest because of civilian children not having unlocked there chakra yet and needing to be guided through the process, the ones that didn't unlock their chakra at the end of the class were told to either stay after school or do it by themselves.

We didn't have a Genjutsu class one our first day, but we did have a theoretical class based around chakra and it's various uses and manipulations and I'm gonna be honest I don't think I have geeked out harder in my life than I did in that class.

Did you know that the most likely reason Lee can't use Ninjutsu or Genjutsu is that his chakra coils weren't fully developed when he was born and that he isn't the only one it's happened to, keep in mind it's fairly rare, but the others it happened to mostly decided to become civilians?

Do you want to guess what my first thought was after hearing about that, it's okay I'll tell you, it was why hasn't anybody tried looking for the cause of this, is it genetic, is it viral, is it bacterial? What was causing these possible cannon fodder to-be, to be born with faulty chakra coils and has anyone tried looking for a solution and just like me you will be blue balled for the answer.

Things of note to have happened during the previous year I "saved" Hinata from the bullies if it could even be called saving when all I did was call out to them and they ran away pissing there pants. Since it happened outside of my expectations and it didn't seem like the right atmosphere to meet my possible wife under so I just decided to turn around and walk away, of course, I kind of was screwed since I was on my way to the library and I was now just wandering around the village deciding on what to do now.

After a while, I settled on grabbing a bite to eat and to the shock of no one my destination for lunch was Ichiraku Ramen, I don't know if it's the Uzumaki in me that's the cause of my intense love of there ramen or if I have also just turned into a Ramen Baka, but the reason I bring this up is this is where I encountered Iruka for the first time it appeared he and Mizuki were out for lunch, Maybe there is more going on there than meets the eye but it's not like it's any of my business.

After offering a normal cordial greeting to the two men/trained killers and ordering my lunch from Teuchi and waiting for it to be prepared Iruka offered his greeting back and returned to his conversation with Mizuki who seemed to be more than a bit distracted since I entered, although it didn't last long his aptitude as a spy shinning through I suppose.

The last Interesting thing that happened was my success at recreating the Seikūken, now you might be wondering why I would waste precious time practising a weaker version of what is basically En well for one, my Nen will be and is one of my highest guarded secrets and for another while, En is without a doubt Superior in every way that matters if say Sasuke or Neji, I don't know how much the Byakugan can see concerning energies that aren't chakra, was able to replicate the ability and they were in one of there fight against Naruto periods they could pose a threat to my life and I don't want that.

While Sasuke, Shikamaru and I weren't friends yet we were close enough to offer a daily greeting and just between you and me I don't think Choji or Kiba like me all that much, Shino appears to be fine with me though. You should have seen the look on Shikamaru's face when I one day asked if he would want to play a match of chess and my subsequent explanation of what chess is, well technically he remained expressionless, but I could tell he was excited and intrigued thank all things holy I have mind-reading powers.

To maintain a semblance of my dignity I will omit what transpired in the match, needless to say, I won 10 - 0 ... I'm sorry I won't lie anymore, he won 20 - 2 and the first two I only won because he was still familiarizing himself with the rules and before you ask yes technically I could've won every match with my mind-reading powers but I did this so I could train my strategic ability I mean like really I was offered a free training partner why wouldn't I take advantage of that. Oh, and if you were curious no we didn't use the bone chess set we used a wood one I made that I gave to him after our match so that he could play against his dad.
