3 Chapter 4 newlywed part 2

Shortly after my parents left a maid arrived outside the castle, she bowed deeply, "My Queen.".

The word sounded strange to me, I never imagined I would become a Queen and people would serve me.

"The king wants to see you."

Oh no, I almost forgot about our wedding night. I was worried because I wasn't ready.

I had already changed into a red night dress and then the maid lead me to the king's chamber. I was so nervous and I could feel my heart racing.

The castle was large and beautiful but it looked creepy and . We crossed the castle corridors one after the other and I noticed the strange paintings on the wall and the statues of dragons looked like they were real.

We came to stand in front of a door and the maid turned to me, "This is the king's Chamber," she said and the door opened.

"M...my Queen, be careful," the maid pitied Evangeline because she didn't know what she has gotten herself into.

"Wait," I turned around but she was nowhere to be found.

This was strange. I didn't know if I should go inside or not. Why was all this happening to me.

I took a deep breath and walked in to the room. The door closed behind me and I felt a thick mist of cold crisp air blew through me, rustling my hair and sending a chill down my spine.

"Don't be afraid, Evangeline. I won't hurt you."

A deep voice spoke behind me and I turned back and saw the king staring at me with those entrancing blue eyes that were as bright as the evening stars.

My eyes travelled down to his lips, I wonder how it would feel on mine.

A smile appeared on his face, he probably knew what I was thinking.

"M..my king," I bowed.

"Call me Teivel . I am your husband now."

"My king...."

"Teivel" he corrected.

"M...may I ask you a question?"

"Go ahead, don't be afraid."

Teivel already knew what she wanted to say.

"Why did you marry me? I'm just a poor girl." I didn't understand he had another wife so what does he want from me.

He smiled, "I married you because I fell madly in love with you. I couldn't stop thinking about you. Remember this?" he said pulling out a silver chain from his pocket.

It was my silver chain, I thought I lost it.

Then it dawned on me that the king was the one who saved me from those men who tried to kidnap me.

I was on my way to the market when some men came out of nowhere and surrounded me.

"What are you doing here, beautiful?" one of the men asked.

"What do you want?!"

"We want you," another man spoke.

What do they want to me?

I was about to shout then I heard them chuckle.

"No one will help you, darling. You are coming with us."

I felt someone cover my nose with a cloth from behind and my vision became blurry.

"Step away from her." I heard a voice but I couldn't see the person.

My head began to spin and I fell unconscious, and when I woke up I saw myself in my room.

Was it a dream?
