CHAPTER 4- She's Following Him

It's been a week since I've work in this cafe but still I haven't meet the owner and for my new apartment nothing unusual happened just the cat have been staying at the window lately, it's like waiting for its owner which I don't know who.

I've been feeling like my life is getting normal.

Today I've been assigned as a cashier in the cafe. Although it's raining cats and dogs outside the café is full and we've been busy for an hour now.

Annie told me that the owner might visit the café today but I wasn't expecting that he has a companion with him.

A young man who's around my age approach me. He was tall and has a feature of a British Korean but I wasn't really sure what's his nationality.

"Miss can I get two cappuccinos and two chocolate soufflés?" the young man ordered and gave me his sweetest smile.

"Please serve it to me" he added and went to a table nearby a window.

I was going to stop him from leaving but Annie approach and told me that that's the owner of the café. I wasn't expecting that the owner is young.

I brought his order and place it on a table in front of him I was gonna leave but he stopped me.

"Seat" he said and motioned to me.

"How was your work?" he asks me and look at me intently as he took a sip in his coffee, it's like his judging me.

"It was nice sir and thank you for taking me in" I answered him politely and bowed a little, he was still intently staring at me.

It felt so awkward to look at him so I just look down.

"that's good to hear and by the way that coffee is yours and soufflé, take that as a welcome treat from me. " he said and when I look at him he's giving me that sweet smile again.

That's the moment I regretted not remaining my eyes down. I just made an eye contact with a ghost Probably she felt it too since I acted surprise.

It was a young girl seating in his lap. She has a long curly blonde hair and a blue eyes, she looks like a doll a creepy one.

The moment she gave me a big grin I felt the hair at the back of my neck stand. I was taken back into senses when he asks me.

"Are you okay? You looked like you've seen a ghost. " clearly he's not aware that a young girl is seating in his lap and is staring and grinning at me right now as he mentioned the word ghost.

" I'm fine sir I'm just surprised to get a welcome treat from my boss since the past jobs I had didn't gave me a welcome treat " I answered him as I went back to pretend I didn't see anything.

"Then You should get used to it now, by the way I'm Clyde and I'll take care of you"

"Thank you sir"

"please drop the formalities just call me Clyde"

I was going to insist of not calling him by his name at least not when we are in work but his phone ring.

"I need to go now it was nice meeting you Hyunah see you around" I guess he was really in a rush.

"See you when I see yahh" the young girl whispers to me in a sweet voice before she followed him, I just sip the cappuccino and pretended as if I didn't hear her and that I was bothered by her presence.
