Ground Zero

The old man held his breath, paying close attention to every movement around them. "Something is approaching. We have to be ready to face it."

Kyle straightened his sword steadily, ready to fight. "Prepare yourselves for battle. We must not back down."

The young man who was a courier held his rusty dagger with trembling hands, while trying to understand the conditions that were happening on this floor.

His eyes watched every movement around him with tension filling his mind. Even though he felt scared and inexperienced, he knew that he had to remain ready to face any threat that might come.

The young man felt pressure from all angles, but he could not give up. He held his dagger steady, ready to fight if needed, even though he knew that he might not be as strong or skilled as the rest of his party.

"G-ground Zero," suddenly The young man who was a courier said in a trembling voice, realizing something that might be related to the condition of this floor.

His sensitive hearing and careful attention made him connect several clues that might be connected to the situation they were in. The term "Ground Zero" Ground Zero indicates that the dungeon has taken extreme measures to combat the threat within it, and all the rules and restrictions that normally apply have been removed.

"G-ground Zero you say?" Kyle asked, his voice sounding surprised. However, before they could react further, the adventurers realized that it was too late. The monsters from all the floors had gathered in front of them, ready to attack.

They looked in horror at the approaching wave of monsters, ready to rush at them with ferocious power and lust. Tension reigns between all of them.

"I-I'm not going to die here!" Verna shouted in a trembling voice, running backwards without paying attention to the danger that threatened her.

"Oi Verna!" Kyle shouted in a panicked tone, trying to call him back to warn him of the risk her was taking by acting rashly.

However, it was all too late. When suddenly, a tree root penetrated the woman's body at a terrifying speed.

Cries of surprise filled the air as the adventurers witnessed the horrific scene. Verna fell silent, her eyes wide open with indescribable pain. Blood gushed from the wounds caused by the tree roots that pierced his body.

"….H-help… I-I…" The woman tried to reach out her hand in desperation, but her last breath could no longer be saved.

The atmosphere became panicked, and one by one they ran backwards, towards the stairs that would take them back to the 21st floor, trying to save themselves from the threat that threatened them.

"Come on, kid, run as hard as you can!" The old man shouted at the young man who was a courier ,while moving his feet as fast as possible. He looked at the young man, who was running as hard as he could, his face filled with fear and despair.

The young man followed the old man's instructions, running as fast as he could without looking back. His heart was pounding, but he knew that he had to survive and fight for his life.

When they almost reached the entrance to the 21st floor, Liana, who had skills as a priest, suddenly fell. Liana's foot tripped on a vine of tree roots that was not visible below her.

"H-help me!!" she screamed as she tried to stand up.

"Just leave him!!" Kyle shouted to them all in a desperate voice. He realized that Liana could no longer be helped, especially because the monsters chasing them were getting closer quickly.

The other adventurers fell silent for a moment, frozen in despair. They knew they had to make quick decisions if they wanted to save themselves.

However, the burly, shaved-headed man who was the tank of the party suddenly jumped forward, blocking the attack of the monster shaped like a lion when the monster was about to pounce on Liana who was still lying on the ground.

Bravely, the tank man challenged the monsters with fast and precise movements. He used his strong body to block the monsters' attacks, allowing his friends to escape.

"Can you stand?" the young man who was a courier asked in a worried tone while cutting the tree roots that were entangling Liana's feet with his rusty dagger.

Liana grimaced in pain when the tree roots were cut. She nodded slowly, indicating that she could still move despite the difficulty.

Carefully, the young courier helped Liana get up from the ground. Even though he couldn't hide the anxiety on his face, he tried to remain calm and focused on helping their injured comrade.

"Thank you," Liana hissed in a weak voice, but filled with gratitude. She looked at the young courier boy with eyes full of appreciation.

the young man who was a courier smiled slightly in response. He was relieved to see that Liana was still able to stand even though she was injured.

"Hurry and go! I will hold them all back!" The man who was a Tank shouted, his voice filled with determination and courage.

The man realized that he couldn't hold off the monsters for long. The level, rank, and equipment he had were insufficient to fight those high level monsters. However, he chose to sacrifice himself in order to save his friends.

the young man who was a courier and Liana looked at each other, their hearts filled with feelings of gratitude and appreciation for the tank man's bravery. Although they knew that the decision to leave was a difficult one, they also knew that they had to continue their journey to survive.

With heavy hearts, the two of them continued their steps, leaving the tank man to face the monsters alone. They hoped that the man would survive and that they could meet again in the future.

"ARRGGHHH…. N-NO…." The assassin shouted in a voice full of despair and fear when he was entangled by the Giant Spider that was threatening him.

the young man who was a courier and Liana watched in horror as their friend was attacked by the terrible monster. Their hearts felt sore when they saw the suffering experienced by the assassins.
