4 Kirin Joon-Sang

It was a cool, crisp day. The birds were chirping, the wind was softly blowing, the sun shone brightly in the midday sky. People walked about, going to wherever their destinations lead them. Except for one.

Kirin Joon-Sang sat at her desk, staring idly out the window, watching the people below go about their day. She had a look of longing that said she, too, desired to be out there enjoying such a beautiful day. But no, she had to work. It would be bearable if her office allowed more comfortable attire, but nope! She had to wear business casual clothing. She hated wearing such restrictive clothing.

It wasn't as though her body shape made wearing such clothes difficult. She wasn't well endowed, nor did she have a supple backside. Her sizes were negligible compared to models. But she was happy with her proportions. Though they weren't massive, she still had curves, and they curved in the proper areas. She was slim with long black hair that reached to her shoulder blades, with soft, white skin. Her eyes were hazel, but they appeared golden when looked at from a certain angle. She may not have been "beautiful", but she was definitely a head turner. The freckles on her cheeks definitely helped with that.

"Miss Joon-Sang," a soft, yet deep voice called out.

She didn't hear it, being lost in her desire to be outside.

Once more, the voice calmly called out to her, "Miss Joon-Sang."

Yet still, she was lost in her reverie.

"Miss Joon-Sang!" the voice called out once more, this time with a hint of irritation and authority. The tone pulled her back into the office and stand immediately.

"Yes, sir?" she declared, making a few around lift their heads out of curiosity and snicker.

An older gentleman was staring at her from the desk opposite her own, looking through his glasses. His eyebrows were slightly knitted, expressing his irritation, yet he spoke calmly and slowly.

"Miss Joon-Sang, I'm glad to see that you're enjoying the beauty of nature, but I would appreciate it if you could finish those reports before you do so. I believe Mr. Park would also appreciate that, as well." Though he said it flatly, she could feel a hint of coldness in his words.

She lowered her head. "Yes sir, I'll have them ready be the end of the day..." she spoke softly and withdrawn. Her face was slightly flushed due to embarrassment as she sat back down and began to type away on her computer.

Eli Sighed as he watched her. Though she annoyed him and got under his skin, he had to admit that when she worked, she worked exceptionally well. Though that was no excuse. He was still the manager of this department, and thus had to make sure all his charges were working exceptionally. It didn't matter if they were hired from the street or brought in due to connections. To him, they were all equals that had to contribute to the workload.

Noon came and went, and many of the office employees had stopped to eat, but Kirin continued to work. She tirelessly tapped away at her keyboard, glancing from the screen to papers that were stacked next to her every so often. She would only stop to exercise her fingers so that they wouldn't cramp, and stretch her back.

As the clock ticked away, she would pick up a few papers and glance through them, then place them face down next to the other stack. By the time three came rolling around, a good portion of the stack had been reduced, flipped over and placed on top of the other paperwork.

If nothing else could be said about her, it could at least be said she was a hard worker.

With a final stretch, she sat back and glanced at Eli. "Excuse me, sir. I've completed a majority of the reports, would it be alright if I took my lunch now?" she asked furtively.

Eli looked over at her stack for a moment before waving her off. "Enjoy. Good job," he responded as he went back to focusing on his work. Kirin grabbed her purse and stood up. With a brisk walk, she headed towards the elevators and pulled out her cell phone. Opening the messaging app, she scrolled down and clicked on a name.

As she was just about to start typing, a bubble icon appeared, indicating that the other person was currently typing a message to her. Curious, she stopped and waited to see what they had to say. She didn't need to wait long. After a few seconds, a message appeared.

[Downstairs in the lobby. Let's grab a bite]

She smiled as she read it.

[Perfect timing, I was just heading out to eat. Be there soon]

She hopped into the elevator and rode it down to the lobby. The doors opened and she stepped out, looking around to find her lunch date.

She didn't need to look around long, everyone's surprised gaze and the small crowd gathering directed her in the right direction. She quickly headed over. There, in the center of everyone who had formed a circle around this man, stood Kim-Lee Park. It was the owner of the company!?

Without a word, she walked up to him. She could hear the others around her questioning her actions, but she didn't care. They didn't know her and Kim's relationship, so why would their gossip bother her?

"No bodyguard today?" she asked as she came up to his side, interlocking their arms together and giving him a warm smile.

"He's in the car," Kim replied, glancing from his phone to the woman next to him and smiling at her. He put his phone away and turned toward the doors. "Let's go before these people lose their collective minds."

She giggled and nodded. "Yes, please. Feed me something tasty, Mr. Boss!" she teased as they headed out to lunch.
