23 Chapter 23

Honey (P.O.V)

I walked into my first period class I couldn't even focus Demi was eyeing me from the corner wondering why I wasn't jumping for joy that Dylan is interested in me. I can't even tell her what he's doing I don't want to ruin the relationship she has going with Chad. I mean I love Demi to death I want her to be happy and unlike Dylan Chad seams like a big softy I never see him playing around with girls unlike Dylan. I never see him flirting and any relationship he's been in it's for a long time always serious nothing played with. Unlike Dylan that's always with a new girl every week. He sweet and respects all girls, unlike Dylan.

"Honey?" I suddenly heard the teacher call out. "Huh?" I retorted "I was asking how rehearsal was going for the play?" He asked. Little does he know I forgot about the play and Demi and I have been skipping rehearsal all week. "It's going good." I lied. "That's good I'm really looking forward to it." He commented as he began reading the novel. I sat back and began thinking once more. I wonder what Adam is going to think of all this. I don't want to embarrass him if that picture gets out. He didn't do anything, this is my mess to fix. So, I will deal with Dylan myself. I will do as he asks ill to join him for lunch, but no way in hell am I losing my virginity to him. He has one thing coming if he thinks he's getting any action from me.

After class was over Demi was talking to Eric. I guess she is over him because the conversation they had was dull. There wasn't that twinkle in her eyes she used to have when she spoke to him. That's good considering she's dating one of the hottest guys in school. After her conversation with Eric was over she walked over to me frowning. "What's wrong with you?" I asked. "What's wrong with me? Question is, what is wrong with you? Why haven't you accepted Dylan's feeling huh I gave Chad the chance that you wanted me to and I thank you for that. now Dylan is finally interested in you and you don't respond?...what the hell!" She screams in frustration.

"Demi Dylan isn't what you think he is. " I mumbled surprised she even heard me. "What do you mean?" She asked raising an eye brow. "He's well...never mind." I said walking towards my locker. "Tell me would you." She followed. "Nothing forgets it." I murmured. "Is something wrong with Dylan?" She was now curious. "No nothing is wrong with him ill give him the chance happy now." I answered. "Yes, very much so." She smiled sheepishly. "I got to get going, my baby waits to walk me to class." She said before skipping off. She really likes Chad doesn't she? I'm so glad I knew Chad was the one for her, his feeling for her were true all along.

I had gym class, we were on our way to a different school for our first ever volleyball competition. Jessica was sitting next to me on the school bus. "So, captain are you excited for the competition?" She asked but I was far from excited my mind was scrambled and so out of it. I just nodded and smiled at her. The bus ride was about 2 hours, so I decided to take a nap and rest my mind before the big game. I woke up to Jessica shaking me to wake up. "Wake up Honey we are here." she said. When I looked around everyone was getting off the bus. I looked out the window and noticed we had arrived at the school. I got up and followed Jessica off the bus. I met up with the teammates and we made our way towards the school. gymnasium. As soon as I set foot in the school I was amazed this school was fully lavished extremely beautiful. It made our school look like a charity case. "Welcome, I'm the referee please follow me, and I will introduce you to the competition." An older man said. He was well groomed and feminine. He was bubbly and all smiles. We followed him towards the incredibly large gym that was already packed with people. There was so much noise I couldn't even hear myself think. Jessica locked arms with mine because she was so nervous. "Don't worry just think as if we are home." I assured her. She smiled at me and mouthed the words 'thank you'

We noticed a group of girls standing in front of the speakers near the net. They looked big strong and mean. They turned to look at us with nothing but dirty looks as if we weren't even worthy as their opponents. Even their coach was scary looking. she was huge with short hair very butch body and masculine features. I could have sworn she Was a man no way could you look like that and call yourself a lady. "Hello ladies." The coach greeted with a deep voice now I was sure this was a man. "Good morning." our coach greet as she walked off starting a conversation with the manly Coach. We were left off with just us girls. We stared at each other. Talk about awkward silence. It was strange I didn't like these girls at all. "These girls scare me." Jessica whispered into my ears. "I don't like them either." I whispered back. "I can't believe this is our competition." One of the girls said. She was tall and very pretty? blonde with a High pony tail. "Tell me about it...a bunch of no talents as our Opponents but don't worry we will squash them first round." The one next to her spoke. She on the other hand wasn't so pretty she was also blonde but with short hair. "Excuse me?" I said glaring at them. "Who's the captain?" The pretty one spoke again completely ignoring me. "That would be me and don't get so confident you haven't seen what we can do." I said through clinched teeth. These girls are so rude I don't need this to add on to my stress. "We will see about that." She gave me a disgusted look as they walked off. I was not only worried, but I was still unfocused. Damn you Dylan you're the only thing on my mind right now these girls are just annoying. How am I going to fix this? "Alright ladies, on the court." Our coach said clapping her hands to hurry on. We got on the court all in our stands. Hearts racing, palms sweating, knees shaking, roaring crowd. It was nerve wrecking. "Ok Honey not to put any pressure on you but you have to win this game to put our name out there this team is counting on you" she patted my shoulder and gave me a pleasing grin. I already have stress on my back I don't need more pressure on me. I took stand ready in position. Sweat running down my back. It was their surf, so I had my eye on the tall blond that had the ball in hand. I watched as she tossed it in air and struck it. It was coming my way I positioned my hands in place that's when I blocked out and Dylan came to mind. The picture he held that's when I started to think of Adam what would he say? I know he would be mad at me for letting this happen special what happened with Dylan last time. "Watch out Honey!" Jessica's screaming broke me from my thoughts, I looked up to only fine the ball hit me right in the face so hard to make me fall over. My face was stinging, and my vision was blurry. I could here my team talking to me asking if I'm ok I could even here Jessica screaming. The other team was laughing but some seamed worries. I looked up and noticed everyone panicking. I placed my hand on my aching nose and saw blood on my hand and lots of it. I felt a hand helping me stand. I turned and noticed coach. "Clear the way take her to the infirmary." She shouted as she walked me out the doors. I turned to the tall blonde that shot the ball at me. And notice her give a high five to another one of her team members and smirk at me.

I sat in the infirmary and waited for the nurse. Coach had to go back to the rest of the team.

"So, your Honey." A pretty lady said walking up towards me wearing a white lab coat. She had long curly brown hair and pretty, green eyes. She was fabulous for her age. "Yes, that's me." I said.

she was holding a chart in her hands. " 16 years old eye colour brown, hair colour brown, high 5"4, weight-" "umm how do you know so much about me?" I said cutting her short. She was strange and awkward. "Your chart they mail in all the athlete's physical charts." She said with a smile. "Oh." I sighed as I held my aching head. "Oh, that's right you're hurt." She finally realized. She walked over to her desk and pulled out a first aid kit. She examined my face. And started cleaning the blood off.

"Well good news is nothing's broken. Just some bruising and swelling. Just keep ice on it and you'll be fine dear." She said placing an ice pack on my nose. "Unfortunately, you can't participate in the tournament." She said with sad face. "No, I can't I have to win I can't let my team down." I said jumping out of my chair. " I'm sorry dear I can't let you go back out on the court. I've already contacted your mother she has sent a cab for you, so you will be going home for today." She explained. I couldn't believe this was happening I have to play couch was counting on. First round and I'm already out. Just like those snobby girls said. I'm so humiliated. But this nurse wouldn't let me go back out there. So, I just had to nod in agreement. I sat in her office and waited awkwardly. She looked at me from the corner of her eye. I sighed in frustration every time Dylan situation came to mind. "Ok I can't ignore this." She said spinning her chair around facing me. "What's wrong and I know it has something to do with a boy." She crossed her leg over the other showing off she perfect leg muscles. "What do you mean?" I asked obliviously. "I know your having boy trouble why else would you sigh every second like some nine-month pregnant woman?" She teased causing me to chuckle. "how did you know it has something to do with a boy?" I asked, "it's called female intuition kid you will get it once you're older." She explained. I like this nurse as odd as she seams she looks like she could relate. Maybe I should get a second opinion on this whole thing instead of keeping it all bottles up. "So, are you going to tell me, or should I just read your mind?" She smiled. "No ill tell you...I might need advice on what to do." I paused then continued. "So, I've liked this guy for a long time someone way out of my league his name is Dylan. But once I got over him I started seeing someone else. And this someone else, I really like and possibly love. But Dylan is now threatening to publicly humiliate me and my boyfriend secret if I don't be his.....you know...partner." I explained looking at her. "you mean sex partner? Come on kid this isn't elementary you can say sex." She laughed. I nodded at her and a little embarrassed about my immaturity.

She rubbed her fingers under her chin as if deep in thought. "This is tricky indeed..." She finally said. "Well your boyfriend might leave you if the secret gets out.... I mean Dylan is out of your league right...so just be his sex partner and still be with your boyfriend. Trust me I was in a situation like this before and my husband left me, so I guess a boyfriend wouldn't hesitate to leave." Every one of her word was the opposite of what I was hoping to hear. "Beside having a sex partner is fun I have a few. And it's going to be even more fun with your ex crush. Exciting too..." She laughed. "So, keep it a secret and go fuck Dylan...you don't want your boyfriend to find out he will leave you." She stood up gathering her books. "I got to run kiddo, hope it all works out for you and I know you will have a blast." She winked and walked off. I was in a trans what kind of advice was that? Now I'm not only scared I'm also traumatized. How am I going to even look at Adam knowing he will hate me if Dylan lets that picture out?
