He's just standing there... MENACINGLY

"Th-This is uncalled for!" The quivering meatball says, staring down at my blade.

"I beg to differ! You are disrupting these valued customers' experience at my humble company; I can do whatever I want to you," I respond.

I lower my weapon and give the fat man a little slap with the flat of my sword.

"Git."

He hurrys off while the other customers continue on with their business.

With my information gathering done, I briskly walk away from the main building. After thirty steps, I realize that someone is following me, and turn to see the merchant that bought fifty compasses.

"Mr. Sinclair, please wait! My name is Shaillu. I have some businesses in Gerudo town, and I would love to discuss the possibility of a trade relationship with you."

I remain silent, still walking with Shailu behind me, she seems smart, but that isn't necessarily a good thing. I decide to hear her out, "Fine, follow me."

We walk into hq; the two armored doormen I recently hired give a quick bow as I pass by, and I motion for them to let Shailu through.

She is in awe of the main chamber, but I quickly take her to a side office, which actually belongs to Josephine.

Her negotiating this deal will be a good test because, eventually, I want my company to be completely independent of me, with myself only having to provide product ideas and rake in that nice, passive income.

They sit down across from each other, and I stand in the corner, watching, just like my uncle.

Negotiations begin,

"I own twenty-three shops in Gerudo town, all of which are general stores. I believe that the compass will become an item everyone that steps outside of their house will use, and my stores are the perfect place to sell them," Shailu continues, "I will take care of all transportation fees, but I want a discounted price, 2.5 rupees per compass."

Josephine chuckles, "Slow down a second, ma'am, have some water- it's fresh from our well."

After pouring herself and Shailu a glass, Josephine responds to the offer, "Do I look like a fucking idiot."

"Um, Ms. Josephine, I'm not sure what y-"

"No! Do I look like I was dropped as a child?"

"You do not."

"Thank you! Now, why are you giving me this outrageous offer if you don't think that I am brain-damaged? 4.85 rupees per compass; you said this would be a huge bestseller. 4.85 is as good a deal as you are going to get from us."

They continue negotiating, and Josephine does not budge on her offer. Eventually, Shaillu accepts the 4.85.

Of course, we will eventually open our own shops in Gerudo town and eventually all across Hyrule, but this deal is a good first step.

As our new business partner leaves the room, Josephine exhales, sinking into her chair; she looks at me, "Did I do a good?"

"Yes, you did a good."

With that agreement made and information with Shaillu exchanged, we continue with production, and for the next few days, business is booming.

The company's coffers are filling up, and we are struggling to keep up with demand. A fat, end-of-the-week bonus motivates my employees to keep working hard.

While Sinclair Trading chugs on, I have been looking for materials to craft new weapons, as my old ones are starting to fall apart, and my crafting abilities have definitely increased.

I have bought elemental Lizalthos horns, bokoblin guts, and various other monster parts, as well as a few different types of gems that I didn't get from the talus. I have also bought high-quality steel and other ores that I plan on using to make strong composites.

The things I can't really afford are high-end monster parts, like those from gold, silver, and black monsters, as well as things from Lynels, Hinoxes, Talus, and Boss Bokoblins.

Most importantly, I cannot yet afford Shiekah or Zonai tech, but I plan on diving into those fields in the future with the help of Hyrules lead researchers like Robbie, Zelda, and... Purah.

Right now, my employees are having dinner in the main hall, and I plan on getting a good night's sleep in preparation for the days of crafting ahead.

I turn off the glass lamp in my perch on the top of my lab and settle into the warm covers of my Rito feather bed, flipping the pillow to the cool side a few times before falling asleep.

I am awoken by the ringing of the emergency bell on the first floor breaking the calm of the night. When I rush out of my lab, I hear the sound of the night watchman repeatedly yelling, "Everyone hide! There's a band of armed people banging on the gate; some have even scaled the wall!"

My still-sleepy workers pause before leaping into action, Goron go to their rooms to retrieve heavy hammers, and Rito quickly string their bows.

All of my hires are hard-working, previously lower-class people, so they are used to dealing with violent individuals in the second ring. Still, it warms my heart to see that they would risk their lives to defend this place, though I am sure the nice pay helps.

I quickly descend the floor and shout to everyone, "Guys, it's fine; I got this."

Before they can protest, I am out of the building and use the master key to lock the heavy double-door entrance behind me.

Soon after, the main gate to the compound is busted open, and a group of fifteen or so individuals quickly advance to our location. They are all dressed in decent-quality leather armor and have nice weapons.

I start walking towards them with the bear hood of my cloak pulled down and my hands resting on my belt buckle.

The gang is not intimidated at all by me, and they leisurely stroll forward. A large Goron at the front of the group yells at me, "What the fuck is this guy wearing? Hey buddy, how bout you open them doors, make things easy for both of us."

I don't think talking is necessary.

Pulling my revolver from my belt I fire off six shots towards the relaxed gangsters. Six booms caused explosions of fire mana inside the barrel of my gun ring out, and five bodies fall to the ground.

I exhale a shaky breath, those were my human first kills in this world, but it was going to happen sooner or later.

The only one that doesn't fall is the Large Goron who spoke to me. He doubled over but straightens himself, spitting out a bloody bullet.

Shields are raised and arrows begin to fly. The gang moves efficiently, with melee fighters rushing toward me after an initial volley.

The Throngler whips out, deflecting most of the arrows, but two fly through its guard, which I am forced to snatch out of the air with my gauntlet.

The melee fighters are upon me, and my blade and gun flash in a forest of spears, swords, and axes.

Due to the mana rushing through my body to heighten my abilities, my tattoos glow white from under my clothes, and my eyes begin to leave faint trails in the air.

These fighters are trained and know how to work together, but I find openings. I cut off the occasional hand or leg and shoot people in the foot while they are defending themselves from the Throngler.

As I begin to gain the upper hand, an attack from above catches me off-guard, and I am knocked back, flying across the courtyard like a stone being skipped across a pond.

When I look up, I see the goron that survived my shot, holding a massive chain with a wicked spiked ball at the end.

The archers don't leave me time to recover, and two arrows sink into my torso.

These fuckers aren't some common gang; they are trained. I will have to use magic, and magic means none of them can leave here alive.
