1 MACARONI AND CHEESE

Ugh, I can't believe we had to move, I loved living in Canberra now I have to start afresh with everything, friends, school and more. Life in Australia was quite a comfortable one regarding the fact that there were rarely any rogue attacks or run-ins with other Alphas. Being a small continent and country, there are only a few packs about five and now they were going to be four packs, I am not looking forward to starting afresh in the states but if I have my family and pack by my side.....I could give it a try especially since I have no other option.

The only good thing is that my best friend, Allan is in my pack and I will not have to say any goodbyes to people I love, sure I did have some encounters with a few humans but none of them ever stuck around to make it as one of the people close to my heart. Considering our secret, I really had no option but not to get very close with humans though some of them could be quite nosy.

I stayed away from most humans and only had a few that could make past with and have a civil conversation with while my brother on the other hand has been quite familiar with the human population, specifically the females.

The flight was okay except for when I tried to get some sleep and my stupid dumbass brother kept nudging my stomach and waking me up. This guy really needs to find a mate, I can't believe he's even supposed to be an Alpha, he is so immature. Dylan could pass for the most annoying brother ever known to man but I know better since most brothers are evil and irritating as hell. I could not get some sleep and when I finally got some shut eye, a flight attendant disturbed me, asking if I needed any refreshment. It seemed very stupid of her since she could see that my eyes were closed, god knows that she only came to disturb me because of Dylan who was seated next to me and winking at her. Lucky for me, the flight was a long one and I did finally get some sleep.

Right now I'm arranging my new room, it's quite bigger than the last one but does not hold the many memories I had in my former room....I miss home. I've managed to place my books in the shelves and my clothes are already in the wardrobe, I was not ready to pack any of my things but my mother kept on coming to check on me. I spread my bed since it would be the best way to impress my mother and judging by the muffled shouts coming from across the room, I knew that she was yelling at Dylan for not having his room organized yet.....yah I am going to be the little devil sister right now. I decide to go take a quick, cold shower. The bathroom is also quite big but I did not like the blue and white plain tiles but let us just say that I fell in love with the shower heads and everything else....except the tiles. After my shower I slip into my PJs, a red and black onesie that covered my body and head downstairs.

It was not cold but the weather was slightly chilly and I had goose bumps when I came out of the shower so I decided to go with a onesie. Immediately I walk into the kitchen I find Allan making Macaroni and cheese. He turns to me and gives me a small smile....oh if he only knew what I was thinking. He was in his usual night wear, a white shirt with some writings in a weird language and plaid cotton trouser.

"Perfect timing." I say as I skip over to his side with a wide smile. Oh food, you are soon gonna be in my tummy.

"No way this is only for the one who made it and the one who holds it." Says Allan and he scowls at my excited expression. I scoff and decide to play dumb

"Oh, so how do you think school will be like from now on with humans and all that." I try to avert the topic.

I am genuinely worried especially since in Australia, all the wolves who are still schooling were homeschooled and we had a few teachers within the pack who taught us pretty well but now everything is going to be different. We have to go to a regular school with humans which means no avoiding humans. We could have just stuck with the pack teachers and they never really had stress since the pack is not huge, we could be a minimal number of around three hundred and the younger members not more than a hundred and fifty. This was sadly not about the pack numbers but about blending in. it was very easy to do normal pack activities in Australia since we were not really near much civilization but now, we were way too close to the city and the noise. So we have to blend in and go to normal school.

"Well I think it's going to be okay because we've been living amongst humans for a long time." Replies Allan as he shoves some spices back into the cabinet. I make a mental note to explore the kitchen when I am free.

"Yah but this is different." I reply silently thinking of all the people I am going to have to be civil with. "I think we should have gone to a boarding school for wolves, it's much better being around your own kind."

"Well your dad said our safety is not guaranteed at a school full of wolves, hunters and rouges can attack any time." Replies Allan. "And don't worry, not many humans are going to bother us...I hope." He whispers the last part but let's just say with hearing senses like mine, it was not much of a whisper.

"I guess that makes sense,"

I watch as Allan prepares his Macaroni and cheese, I silently wait with a hatched plan of how to grab the bowl from his strong arms. He takes a bowl and a spoon as he adds the finishing touches and I smile at the irony that he is preparing such a wonderful meal for his best friend.

"You know that you won't be able to grab the bowl from me, right." Says Allan and he throws me a small smirk.

"Who said I want to grab it, I-i didn't even think of that." I say trying to defend myself. Liar, liar...pants on fire.

"Mm, Aleisa I've known you since childhood and to be honest you have a very sharp, cunning mind." He comments and pretends to put on a thoughtful look.

"I didn't know that, but since you've mentioned it, I might as well as try to-" I say slowly with a sheepish smile and then I grab the bowl from his arms swiftly and run to the stairs while Allan remains there with a shocked expression. I stand at the foot of the stairs with a smirk and wiggle my eyebrows.

"This is now for the one who saw it and stole it." I say and then I run upstairs to my room when I see him get over the shock and run towards me, I close the door to my room and lock it.

Upon locking the door I heard Allan growl on the other side of the door, typical wolves. I plump down on my bed and sit cross legged with the bowl in my hands. I scoop down the spoon and eat the Macaroni and cheese while Allan made a few noises on my bedroom door but later there was a silence and I knew he had finally given up. This was definitely one of the best meals I have ever had....is it just me or the food that someone else prepares tastes much better than my food? Hmm, that is just probably because I am a bad cook.

After eating I open my door and look all sides in case Allan is planning to exact revenge, the fact that he gave up so easily gave off red lights especially since he had prepared the food with so much love. Sorry. Not. Then I slowly walk downstairs while my eyes scanned the empty house for any suspicious silhouettes of a certain someone. I finally make it to the kitchen and place the bowl in the dishwasher. Everyone had definitely decided to retire to bed early after such a long day of carrying boxes. When I turn around to go to my room upstairs, I let out a light gasp of fright expecting to see the angry face of my best friend but I am met with the curios blue eyed little boy, I smile at him and wave. I am wondering as to why he is here and where his parents are when Peyton, one of the mated females in the pack bends down to ask the kid as to what she was doing down here.

"Oh, hi Aleisa." Peyton's blue eyes shine in the dim light as she passes me a sweet smile.

"Hey Peyton." I reply. "Is he your kid?" I ask while smiling at the little champ that was now in her arms. I never heard about her having a kid and he could not have grown so quickly since she had just found her mate a year ago.

"Oh no!" she gasps looking flustered. "He's my nephew." She adds and I nod.

"Anyways, goodnight." I wave at them as I walk out of the kitchen.

I go upstairs and fall on to my bed, how I have been waiting to sleep since we arrived. I groan when I remember what is going to happen the next day.

Tomorrow is school, ugh.
