26 A most unlikely pair 2

Backstage, KBX Studios.

Shi Xiaotong and Yi Yan was standing at the far end of the curtain leading back stage. When the host announced the results.

"At team 3, we have Liu Qiao Qiao and Li Na....."

They stood in the midst of a few other managers, so even though she had been momentarily taken aback by the news, Shi Xiaotong quickly schooled her expression.

Lint Tv was one of the major television station in the country and Liu Qiao Qiao just started out in the industry. They couldn't afford to get on their bad side.

"wow what are the likelihood of a miracle like this happening." A manager commented from behind.

"It's no surprise though, this is the tenth season of 'Road to Stardom', LINT TV's little pet project. I heard that just for this program, LINT TV put a lot of effort to get three high profile judges" Another manager, this time a female manager said.

"I was waiting backstage, when I overheard a two staff members conversing. Apparently Fan Hanying and Zeng Xuefeng weren't originally among the line up for the episode. They were put in a few days ago by the company to create hype for the show" the previous male manager said.

"well that's nothing new, it completely normal for Television stations to do that. It's all about the ratings isn't it and nothing gets a show ratings than a scandal" the female manager said.

"Yes but you have to admit that LINT TV is being a little greedy by inviting all three stars and then pairing a new comer like Liu Qiao Qiao with a temperamental artist like Li Na."

"Manager Shi you will have to advice your artist to stay low, Li Na really isn't the best person to have as an enemy." the female manager said in fake concern.

Shi Xiaotong maybe new in the industry but she wasn't stupid, these managers were all trying to get a response out of her. She wasn't about to give them what they were asking for.

She had already figured out LINT TV endgame when the cast list was really. Though she hadn't expected them to manipulate the game and pair Li Na and Liu Qiao Qiao together.

Liu Qiao Qiao and herself had already planned for the worse. Shi Xiaotong was very confident that Liu Qiao Qiao could handle Li Na.

Shi Xiaotong didn't bother replying, instead she maintained a very calm and serene expression.

Ten minutes after the teams were announced, the first sketch began. The contestants had been given ten minutes to converse with their partners before the competition kicked off.

Ten minutes before

"Before we get started, we should introduce ourselves", Liu Qiao Qiao said before stretching out her hands for a handshake "Hello teacher Li Na, I'm Liu Qiao Qiao, you can call me Qiao Qiao".

Haa "Well aren't you so sweet. You clearly aren't stupid, You should already be aware of my involvement in discrediting you. There's no need to pretend to like me".

"Your are right but also wrong teacher Li Na. Yes, I know about your involvement in discrediting me but pretending to like you?

"Please I'm not that fake, I don't believe in pretending to be something I am not. If I don't like someone, I always let them know. I don't see the point in pretending otherwise.

"I just thought that since we are currently stock with euch other, we might as well make the best of it. surely you have already suspected why we were paired up together.

"LINT Tv wants drama, though I am not able to go against them. I am not going to give them what they are asking for. Our career's can't handle another scandal"

"No it cannot. Good, since then it settled. Let's go give them hell" Li Na smirked.

"Yes,Let's do this"

Ten minutes later

The first sketch began, the actors were asked to act out a scene of a wife meeting their husband's mistress

The other teams rendered a few good performances, but it was Liu Qiao Qiao and Lu Na's performance that lady everyone speechless.

Everyone had pretty much expected Li Na, the more dominant and temperamental actress to play the angry wife role. They weren't expecting a complete reverse of roles.

Liu Qiao Qiao played the angry wife quite excellently, leaving everyone shocked. Li Na performance on the other hand was the icing on the cake.

The Directors were all full of praises for their performance. It gave a new outlook to a rather popular plot.

After a total of five phenomenal performance from Liu Qiao Qiao and Li Na, they were both announced as the winner of the competition.

As the winners of the competition, they were both offered the position as regular cast in the shows for the rest of the season.

At the end of the show, Liu Qiao Qiao and Li Na were both invited to join the Production staff and team for a celebratory dinner.

The dinner was held at a private room in a s star restaurants deep in the city. The dinner went on till late in the night, by around 10:30 the Chief host of the dinner Executive Director Gu Jianhong of LINT TV left.

As soon as he was gone, everyone soon followed. Liu Qiao Qiao was walking to her car together with Shi Xiaotong and Yi Yan, when she heard her name called.

She turned around to see that it was Li Na. She stood a few steps away from Liu Qiao Qiao, her manager Wen Huo.

"Teacher Li Na, how can I help you"

"Oh cut the crap, I think we we've gotten quite close that you don't have to call me teacher. Call me Sister Li Na, since we are going to be really good friends. Let get dinner tomorrow, I'll send you the address"

"How?, but you don't have my number"

Aahaahaa "it so cute that you think, I need to get your number from you. Ciao, I will see you tomorrow" she walked away waving her hands over her shoulder.
