4 004 New beginning 4

When they got home Liu Qiao Qiao washed up and changed into her nightgown. She was so overjoyed that she couldn't fall asleep.

This was the first good news she had gotten in a year. She had already lost hope until this came along.

She fell into her bed with a huge smile and rolled over to the side. She placed her phone on the bedside table just before she left for the bathroom. She stretched out her hands and picked up her phone.

She tapped the screen twice, it was 5 pm. Liu Qinyang should be done for the day. She unlocked the phone, scrolled up to her speed dial, and failed her sister's number.

"Hey stranger," Liu Qinyang said cheerfully as soon as the call connected.

"Hello my darling, How was your shoot?" She replied, turning around to lie on her stomach.

"Stressful but good. We are already done, so I'll be bringing home the bacon tomorrow" said Liu Qinyang as she got into her car.

"Oh superb when should I expect you back? She asked.

"I should be home before noon. Why do you ask Qiao Qiao, do you have a gentleman guest coming over you don't want me to meet? Liu Qinyang said jokingly.

"No! Why would you even think that" She said quickly, shooting out of the bed?

"Why shouldn't I Qiao Qiao? You're a legal adult. It's normal for you to have a gentleman friend .....or two" Liu Qinyang said, her mouth twisting into a smile.

"Okay, that's embarrassing," Liu Qiao Qiao said

"What's embarrassing about that Qiao Qiao. Don't you have a gentleman friend" she continued?

"Could you please stop saying, gentleman friend? It's so weird"

"Is it? I think that it is normal to have a__"

"Please don't say a gentleman friend," she said raising her hand over her face. She was so embarrassed, of all the people she could be having this conversation with it just had to be her little sister.

Sadly Liu Qiaoqiao wasn't the only one getting embarrassed. Back at Liu Qingyang's end, her manager Qin Yantian was completely speechless.

She kept on sneaking glances at the other occupants of the car while stealthy pinching Liu Qinyang on her arm. Not that it did anything to stop her, she just barreled on.

"Why shouldn't I say Gentleman friend Qiao Qiao"

"Because you know I don't have any gentleman friend and neither do you so can you please stop saying that word" she responded quickly.

"That is true so if you aren't expecting a guest then why the explicit questions"

"What explicit questions I only asked when you will be back" she replied quickly.

"Wow, hold on there is, you know I'm just pulling your legs. Come on Qi Qi I'm sorry please talk to me" she said acting cute.

"good you're annoying"

"Yeah but you still love me"

"Yes I do, unfortunately"

"ouch that hurt"

"You keep talking and when you get back I will give you one that would hurt much more"

"You bully. I am so telling mum"

"No, you aren't"

"Why?

"Because I have good news".

"Ouch spill"

"I got a role in a Baiyu studios production"

"What! That's wonderful. Congratulations"

"Thanks but that's not all actually"

"There's more?

"Yes there is, I got offered a contract to sign under Baiyu studios as an artist"

"Whaaaaaat ahhhhhh I am so happy for you"

"Meeee too"

"Wow you have got to tell me everything but hold on though. Since I'm coming back tomorrow, you should save that until then"

"Alright let's do that"

"okay see you tomorrow"

"Yeah and you too"

"kisses"

"Kisses" Liu Qiao Qiao replied and cut the call.

The next day Liu Qiao Qiao arrived at Baiyu Studio and was quickly led out of the lobby and into the elevator going up to the conference room by Shi Xiaotong

"Sister Lin who's that with Xiaotong, she looks a bit familiar" The Little receptionist Yi Yan asked, watching Liu Qiao Qiao and Qiu Lian enter the elevator. This was her first time seeing this face since she had been working as a receptionist.

After working for two years she was very familiar with everyone that worked in Baiyu studios and even their partners. The company didn't hire any new staff, so she knew this wasn't a new hire.

'The young lady looked too pretty to be a new hire. She was pretty enough to be a celebrity plus she was oddly familiar just where she had seen that face' The little receptionist thought.

"Oh that's Liu Qiao Qiao our Studios new talent" Lin Lin a member of the PR team replied. She had come down to collect a package from the set that had been delivered to the studio.

"New talent?! Huh, when did that happen? The little receptionist asked, surprised. She hasn't heard about the company signing any new talent. This was a huge news story. It didn't make it to the company chat group.

"Yesterday, Li Na behaved like a typical diva and quit our series for a much bigger role in another production. Everyone was in a frenzy running around trying to find a replacement when Shi Xiaotong recommended her friend Liu Qiao Qiao a former member of the girl group PRETTY GIRLS" Lin Lin replied.

"I knew it! That's why she looked familiar. She was a member of Pretty girls. I was a big fan of the group, I was even a member of their fan club. I am a huge fan of their main dancer Zeng Xuefeng.

It was a pity that they disbanded, they had a lot of potential.... wait a minute wasn't she rumored to be the reason for the band breaking up. I heard she is such a diva. She nearly ruined my Little Xuefeng's bright future. Luckily she got contracted as a solo artist by KM entertainment" the little receptionist said with a dreamy expression on her face.

"Wow I didn't know you were once a fangirl," Lin Lin said looking at her in a new light.

"Where? I still am, just not of any girl group but my little Xuefeng, she's so cute. Oh right, how could I forget, didn't they say that Liu Qiao Qiao can't sing? How can she take on the role of Kaili don't tell me you will hire a voice artist? The little receptionist asked worriedly.

Can't sing?! How amusing if Liu Qiao Qiao can't sing I don't know who can. I tell you Yi Yan all those are lies Liu Qiao Qiao is a very talented singer KM entertainment most definitely started that rumor to suppress her, Wasn't Sunny the group leader the CEO'S niece. This is the entertainment industry things are not always as it appears". Lin Lin said laughing softly.

"Really?! Yi Yan said skeptically. She couldn't quite believe what she was hearing when the group disbanded. A lot of rumors went around about Liu Qiao Qiao, none of them good.

"If you doubt it, why don't you watch a video of her voice audition? Her voice would blow you away, one of my colleagues sent it to the group chat" Lin Lin said unlocking her phone, she opened the PR departments group chat to play the video. As she played the video she quickly handed the phone over to Yi Yan to watch.

A few seconds after the video had ended Yi Yan still couldn't believe it, so she replayed the video and listened to the clip again.

After the third time, Lin Lin collected her phone smiling. She knew this would shut her up. Since yesterday the PR department has been working overtime trying to figure out new ways to dispel all the rumors concerning Liu Qiao Qiao and PRETTY GIRLS disbanding.

Yi Yan's reaction had given her an idea she would pitch to her superior which might just work if Yi Yan reaction is anything to go by

"What is m_ wow! That's beautiful. I have got to show this to my friends" Yi Yan said cheerfully.

"Hold on not yet this will be used as a PR tool. Just hold on until it's released okay" Lin Lin replied quickly shutting her down.

"Okay, That's just wow. Since she's being signed with our studio can you put in some words and get me a job as her assistant. pretty please with a cherry on top sister Lin Lin" the little receptionist said acting cute.

"Okay that's enough I'll see what I can do. Mind you I'm not making any promises though" Lin Lin replied.

"That's alright for me, thank sister Lin Lin," Yi Yan said.

"Okay, I'll get going. I need to speak with my superior," Lin Lin said, picking up the package.

"Bye sister Lin Lin see you later," Yi Yan said giddily watching her walk over to the elevator, taking it to the second floor where the PR department was located.
