After waiting for a very reluctant Harry Potter, Bruce practically dragged the poor boy to the nurse's office.

"I don't think they can do anything to help..." Harry keeps throwing out excuse after excuse as to why they shouldn't go to the nurse.

"Harry, you are small for your age and far too skinny, which means you're malnourished. While I agree that this can be fixed with eating more and time, we are in a magical school. The nurse should have something to speed along your recovery." Bruce explains as he nudges Harry down the hall. "Don't even get me started on the possible injuries you had, which may not have healed correctly."

"..."

"Come on. You don't want to be short forever, do you? Girls like taller guys after all." Bruce says with a wink as he walks ahead.

After hearing Bruce, Harry followed along silently without any more resistance.

Thanks to the map they received with their schedules, Bruce and Harry found the nurse's office fairly easily. As they stood outside the door, Harry turns to Bruce with a worried look.

"What should we tell them?" He asks, not wanting to reveal anything.

"If they're any good at their job, they'll already know once they check you over." Bruce replies as he pats Harry's shoulder and opens the door.

"Excuse me!" He calls out as Harry follows him inside, closing the door behind them.

"Yes, how can I help you?" A lone woman says.

She is an old woman dressed in robes that reminded Bruce of a nun mixed with an old fashion nurse or healer. A desk sits behind her with a nameplate that read 'Poppy Pomfrey'.

"Hello Madam Pomfrey, my friend here needs a checkup. Though, we hope that you don't mind being discreet about it." Bruce says as his wand appears in his hand and casts a spell to lock the door.

At first, Poppy was on edge because of the sudden appearance of Bruce's wand, but soon that disappeared as the wand was re-holstered.

"S-Sure, please come forward and I'll take a look." She says as a brief moment of surprise crosses her face.

She noticed who her patient was.

After a long inspection, the kind nurse's face became gloomier and gloomier as the check-up went on. By the end of it all, she was absolutely irate.

Poor Harry had to sit through everything and show off his hidden shame. Some may see his oversized hand-me-down muggle clothes and think he hates them, but truthfully, he likes them very much. They hide his boney and bruised figure from the world.

"Please wait here for a moment." Poppy says as she walks towards the exit, but the door doesn't open.

"You promised discretion..." Bruce reminds her before she can draw her wand to unlock the door.

"I'm sorry, but I have to inform the Headmaster. I promise not to tell anyone else." She says as she unlocks the door with a spell and leaves the room. "Wait here. I won't be long."

Of course, Bruce knew this would happen, so he didn't try to stop her or complain. He wants Dumbledore to know after all.

Poor Harry sat on the side of a hospital bed and stared out the window. The surrounding area is just as beautiful as the castle itself. Large forests, a lake, a quidditch field, and so much more.

Bruce thought it would be best to leave Harry alone for a bit, so he simply sat beside him and looked outside the window as well.

Soon enough, Madam Pomfrey returned with Bruce's new teacher in tow. The look on Dumbledore's face was not something he thought he would see from the charming grandfatherly figure.

Albus looked pissed off.

Yes, he knew that Harry and his cousin were at odds and some bullying occurred around the neighborhood, but he certainly didn't know his home life was as bad as this. When Poppy came and explained how serious Harry's condition was, he felt nothing but failure.

'I should have listened to Minerva. She said those people weren't right. I should've trusted her...' Albus thought as he followed Poppy to her office, where he saw the sad sight of Harry looking out the window.

"Headmaster, I see you've been informed." Bruce says as he stands and greets his new teacher.

Hearing this breaks Harry out of his window gazing and he turns to see the Headmaster looking at him with a sad frown.

He hated that look.

He didn't want people to pity him or worship him like those kids from last night. Harry just wanted to be a normal boy with normal problems.

"Yes, I have." He says as he turns to Poppy. "Can you get Harry's treatment started? I need to speak with Mr. Wayne out in the hall. We'll be just a moment."

Getting a nod from the nurse, Bruce and Albus leave Harry to his treatment and enter the empty hallway.

"Why didn't you tell me this yesterday?" Albus asks in slight frustration.

"I promised Harry that I wouldn't tell anyone. It was hard enough getting him to come to see Madam Pomfrey." Bruce says and his teacher nods, beginning to calm down a bit. "I noticed it on the train..."

Bruce explains all the signs he saw on the train. From his clothes to his flinching and body type.

"How did I not notice this?" Albus rhetorically asks.

"Well, you only briefly saw him at the sorting ceremony. Don't beat yourself up. I'll sort it out." Bruce says reassuringly.

"How?" Albus asks.

"I plan to offer the Dursley's money to sign Harry's guardianship over to my Butler Alfred. He won't be returning there anymore." Bruce says with a shrug.

"No, you can't. Harry needs to be near his family." Albus says cryptically.

"Huh? You mean his abusers?" Bruce asks incredulously. "Is there something I don't know about?"

Hearing the suspicion in his student's voice, Albus freezes and contemplates what to do. Harry can't return to his family, but they're the only thing keeping him hidden from Voldemort and his followers.

"Sigh..." Albus sighs as he looks into Bruce's eyes. "Meet me in my office after this. It would seem that I have some explaining to do."

"Should I bring Harry as well?" Bruce nods and asks.

"No, he's not ready yet."
