12 Magical Stingray!

Surprisingly talkative, the long-fish continued to cite. "Why aren't you talking? I'm speaking your language."

The upgrade was still going on. Which in exchange, continued to give a complete sense of soreness throughout Timmy's body. It was enough to suppress any vocal noise he could have made, so all attempts to talk were ineffective.

A tad pissed out because of the silent treatment, the long-fish refused to utter another word; and then slowly swam towards the boy. At the same time, all of the stingray's personal space was invaded.

As if coming with a ding, the system announced. [Your jaws have been upgraded to level 3]

Still feeling sore but thankfully finally able to speak again, he answered for the sake of stalling a few seconds more. "I don't know who you are, get out of my den you swimming stick."

The prime plan was to stall for a bit more time, until he got rid of this soreness a hunch more. But what his noggin had planned, did not cooperate with his mouth. Because what he had just said ended up just enraging the enemy even more!

To his goodluck, the fish was talkative enough to carry along the conversation. "So you don't remember stabbing my eye out?"

Silence had stretched for a few seconds longer, but it was somewhat enough for the young boy to move. So he charged upwards and set this larger enemy as a target.

Within a second, the young one's barb landed right against the enemy's face. Such a particular stab was randomly aimed at best, but it proved strong enough.

As it forced this fish that stretched a meter long, flinch in pain. Likewise such a result gave a few more seconds of time, and the blue-dotted boy didn't fail to use them all.

With the aid of those marvelous upgraded jaws, he bit this enemy right near the neck, and took off a clean 4-centimeter wide bite.

His jaws went through flesh rather quickly. They felt sharper than usual right now, which in exchange had granted another second to properly use. Which was spent for the sake of landing another bite on the long-fish's neck!

Afterwards he swam forward, and began swinging his tail up and down. Which aided to strike the long-fish on several spots across the belly. And at the end, he went for the enemy's tail and bit another chunk off!

What stood as a clear fact, was the idea that the stingray wasn't striking with such force because of bravery. On the contrary he was dwelling deeper towards fear. But this situation demanded drastic measures, and he was desperate enough to make clear-minded moves!

"Just stand still so I can eat you!" The elongated fish yelled out. And it was somehow still alive, regardless of all those strikes that were delivered by the little boy.

"Eat my ass!" Tim replied, for the sake of letting out some anxiety. Which only gave a string-sized sense of more emotional control!

By that time, the enemy had already turned around and was clapping its row of pointy teeth. Afterwards it charged forward with the aid of fearsome speed!

Timothy's senses tingled thanks to all of the commotion in the waters that came along with such scary speed. So he flapped those tiny fins and almost did a backflip, all for the sake of moving upwards and away from this bastard's path.

It worked well enough, because the enemy had completely missed the target and crashed against the little den's ceiling. It was fairly impactful, because the blue-coloured enemy didn't move for a few seconds after the crash, all for the sake of shaking away the blur.

By all means necessary, the latter wasn't planning to wait for this fish to turn around and attack. That's why he swam above the long-fish's back and landed more than a handful of strikes, with the aid of his barb.

It felt like plentiful damage, and he didn't want to stretch his luck. Because every split second he spent close to this enemy, felt like a month was taken out of his life thanks to anxiety alone.

Within a few seconds, it became difficult to ignore that the enemy wasn't moving. And just a moment after, this blue-fish's belly faced the ceiling. Along with such a result, more and more blood was leaking out of this fish's wounds.

[Great barracuda killed. 40 system points have been given to you as a rewarded]

"That was a barracuda?" He questioned, and had fairly forgotten that such species existed.

[Eating a full-grown great barracuda, typically grants the following effects to your overall state of being...]

[Effect on health, +30 bars]

[Effect on hunger, +75 bars]

[Effect on sleep, +10 bars]

[Effect on stamina, +15 bars]

"These rewards are huge! He was an easy kill." The sea-disk yelled out the obvious, hoping that this wasn't a mistake.

[This isn't a shrimp, you can see how large the barracuda is]

Regardless of that irritating sass, his enthusiasm still stood firm enough to think. "Maybe this system isn't so greedy..."

As if wanting to give back a compliment, the system began unleashing a few sentences that contained the fundamentals of pure positivity.

[Your hunting skills have become exemplary. Especially since you nearly don't fit the criteria that's required to kill a healthy barracuda, but yet you still did!]

[I recommend for you to aim on increasing your personal IQ, it will help you become a better hunter. At least by a little nodge in comparison]

Liking the idea of becoming smarter but still having doubts, he questioned. "Do I have enough points?"

[Total system points = 75]

[You need 15 more system points to upgrade your IQ]

And this time instead of complaining, he actually seeked for more enthusiasm. "Oh, maybe I need to kill more sardines? I'm very close to becoming smarter!"

But he still wasn't ignoring the big opportunity in this den. Likewise, he swam towards the barracuda's carcass and began munching his way towards more health points.

After a few bites, he decided that it would be a good idea to move the body towards the bottom of the den; he even thought of a spot where it seemed like a good place to store food. But regardless if the idea was good or bad, moving a carcass that was far bigger than him, proved to be a tiresome task.

Such a struggle, made the boy think. "What I'd give to be bigger right now. There isn't an upgrade like that, right?"

[System can't exactly control how fast you grow, that solely depends on your age]

[And at the moment you are 31 days old]

It did seem like a disadvantage to not have massive growth sprouts, but it also sounded logical. Because even though he had the system as a great perk, the rest of him was just a normal marine animal.

He had finally managed to pull the body down to the edge of the den, it was rather energy consuming. So now he swam towards a portion that carried a bit more sand, for the sake of laying over anything softer.

That's when an idea strolled through his mind, of which he instantly transformed into a question. "Do you have another task for me... which task is this?"

[You have completed 3 system given tasks so far]

[Your next task is to locate and kill any species of seahorse]

It sounded interesting, but he couldn't exactly remember what such a species was. "They aren't dangerous right? I don't want to walk in another death trap."

[No task I give you projects a death trap, system wants guest to progress and survive. I wouldn't send you out to kill a seahorse, if you couldn't kill one]

[Sea horses are commonly harmless and easy to kill. The only trouble you will face is finding one, they are small and not so common in these parts]

Catching up with what the lady in his head was saying, a seemingly good idea had sprouted. "Oh, so I should rest now?"

[Not necessarily, but you need to replenish your health since this task may require travel that should be longer than usual]

Looking at the barracuda, Timmy took a few more moments to replenish stamina and then slowly made his way towards the carcass. "This barracuda will be my meal today, that should teach him a lesson for wanting to eat my food!"

[Take as many bites as you can handle, scavengers tend to go in dens when the resident isn't there. You might not even find bits of this carcass after returning]
