1 Beginning

"Lin Yun, please deliver the prescribed medicine to Minamoto-san, her address has been sent to your comms." The gentle voice flowed into Lin Yun's ears as he watched the pharmacist with long silver hair styled in braids and dark grey eyes cap on the last vial, putting it inside a small container.

Lin Yun took a quick glance at his silver smartphone, a small but noticeable 'ding' rang as a navigation application quickly took over the screen.

'Huh... R-114, that's about 10 minutes. Shouldn't take too long." He estimated as he grabbed the small container from the many baskets with different names.

It wasn't the first time he had to cover someone else's job, there was a severe shortage of staff after the betrayal of a certain high-ranking member of the organization. The loss of 200 lives was nothing to scoff at, considering they now only have around 60 non-combatant staff members.

As a transmigrator, Lin Yun could do nothing but give a wry smile as he had been relegated to doing odd jobs like a certain silvery-blue haired good-for-nothing.

'I have dreams too you know?'

Prior to his transmigration, he had just finished his undergrad at a decent university with good internships that could secure him a comfortable office job so that he can browse forums and read novels when his boss wasn't looking. He even had hoped to get a small house, a beautiful and supportive wife, a dog by 30—and even financially support his parents who keep on asking 'Hey, when you get a job you'll give me some money right?' at least once a month—but who would've thought that he would die soon after?!

He visibly cringed as he remembered the method at which he died and immediately continued walking.

As a casual consumer of anime, comics, and games, Lin Yun knew full well what world he was in.

Fate/Grand Order.

An extremely popular mobile game that has fans all over the world, depicting heroes based on mythological works or real historical figures, otherwise known as 'Servants' to their respective masters. To personnel like Lin Yun, they'd be addressed as Heroic Spirits out of respect to avoid potential minor offenses to the more... volatile types.

'Can you imagine being dropped into an anime world?! Something that was previously 2D became 3D! I can't even laugh at people for spending thousands on .png files with voices anymore...'

Lin Yun had a basic grasp of the setting, but he was not a dedicated fan that'd know the complex magecraft system like the back of his hand, all he knew was a good amount of the Heroic Spirits (mostly due to them being cute and beautiful, not that he'd admit it openly) and their personality and what's roughly going to happen.

Currently, they are about to begin the campaign on Babylonia, the final singularity (can be substituted as 'obstacle') that when solved, can allow humanity to survive in the future.

'I think they started an anime on the Babylon singularity... What was it called? 'Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia' I think...'

But there was something off with this world, in his short time here he had seen characters, albeit an extremely minor amount, from different series too...

"Approaching destination in three minutes," His transparent earpiece that looped behind his earlobes interrupted with a tone-less voice, "As per protocol, non-combatant staff members of Chaldea are expected to be short and succinct with their interactions with the Heroic Spirits. We are NOT responsible for any physical or emotional harm that results from the...."

Lin Yun pressed a button on the earpiece, ending the 2-minute-long reminder that every staff can repeat from the heart.

'Why didn't he just... I don't know, sign up for accounting or something? At least then I wouldn't be treated as an abusable intern.' Lin Yun complained internally for the third time this month since his transmigration.

He knew that there was no point in complaining over spilled milk, but there's nothing wrong with venting as long as it's done in moderation.

No one's perfect, nor should they aspire to be perfect.

"You've reached the room of Minamoto-no-Yorimitsu, otherwise known as Minamoto-no-Raikou. Classified as under the 'Berserker' Class with a threat level of D++ please advise caution when interacting with her."

Threat level, a loose rating system at which the Chaldea Security Organization came up with to evaluate the potential for a specific Heroic Spirit to cause damage (to Chaldea, and by proxy, humanity) taking their physical prowess, their emotional volatility, and many other miscellaneous factors into account.

A threat level of F would be something that is completely safe to interact with unless handled in an extremely irresponsible matter, while a threat level of EX would be something that could completely eradicate humanity out of existence with a mere thought and should be properly secured, contained, and protected under the watchful eye of multiple Heroic Spirits.

'A threat level of D++ would be like interacting with someone who would belong to a mental asylum...' He let out a soft but exasperated sigh as he could see the silvery-blue door he'd soon have to enter within eyesight.

To his knowledge of the previous world, Raikou is a doting motherly figure who's obsessive with the protagonists (and another person) and can be extremely dangerous when her targets of motherly affection are at risk/denies her.

While many would forfeit their soul to become someone who'd receive her motherly(?) love, Lin Yun knew full well how extremely dangerous she can be when her targets of affection are at risk/denies her, as a matter of fact, many fans do and still wants to receive her love.

'The reasoning she's at threat level D++ is because of three individuals who can keep her in check... Otherwise, she'd be at B-.' He concluded before taking a deep breath and letting it out.

"Excuse my untimely intrusion," He said gently while knocking on the locked door twice, "I'm here to deliver the prescribed medicine."
