2 ch.2 The calm.

It was still hot but Elias knew it would get cooler soon. Standing up from his place on the ground he grabbed the rope of the empety bucket to go fill it and and was given a surprise as he felt more weight then should be. Looking down he noticed the bucket filled. Although sure he drank the last bit not just a second ago he just pushed it into the back of his mind.

Things like this tend to happen a lot to him. Either it's finding a sliver coin in the road, or a random person giving him money on the road, Elias has just written it off as,his good luck.. Once when he was being robbed in a back alley, a guard had just randomly walked into the same alley.

Well what ever or who ever is helping him out he would like to thank them.

The village was rather large. Hendrickson wasn't know for hero's, kings, or any good trading. In fact it was as normal as a village gets. It had its snot nosed nobles, it's tired looking guards and it's fair share of crime. But compared to years before the nobles had more controll over everthing.

The reason he had to fight every day was because of those dammed nobles. They are greedy pigs, that care only for status and money. There are many times he wished he were in controll,of those rotten souls as to show them the error of their ways.

The guards weren't as bad as the nobles. But the reason for that was because of a few good encounters.

As he walked through the street he limped. A couple older shop owners called out for people to look at their wares, spouting out slogans like, "good sell", and , "Offer ends soon." This was the norm of the southern district which many consider the market. In the north houses the noble quarters and the East was pretty much made up of the homes of merchants and other higher paying acupations. The West was mad up of the slumms. The poor, homless and criminals, all lived here, as well as Elias.

On his way he noticed A lot more people, around the market today. A big group around the acting stage that was set up neat the food stands. There they put on plays, we're official held the morning update, and sometimes important events were held. As he walked around the crowd he didn't pay attention to the words being spoken. If he had, things might have been different.

As he crossed into the slums he heard the church bell ring. He was on time and headed home. Despite his fianantual issue he was able to find a home in the exact place for the exact prize he was looking for. It was a smaller house but had two floors. Two bedrooms on the top floor, a kitchen, fireplace. And it was even hooked to the sewer system with a bathroom.

As he walked through the door he was greeted with the smell of stew. As he closed the door. He heard the little pitter patter of feat coming down the wooden stairs. A moment later saw a little girl sprinting toward him yelling, "Big bubber."

Silica crashed into his stomach and wrapped her arms around him. He pulled her up eye level and sat her on his hip. He showerd her with kisses. Placing her on his shoulder he walked into the kitchen. There was a lady about the same age as him setting the table for dinner. And on top of her head were a little pair of ears about same as any common cat would have and her tail twiched here and there.

She turned her body around with a wave of obsidion hair. As her deep crimson eyes met with his he stiffened. Not with fear, not evan the lust, which was a trait Scarlet would have on other men. No he always rembred the simple beuty of her eyes and a promise.

"You know you always seem to amaze me with that impeccable time of yours." As Scarlet spoke he could see her little fang, such was one of her many charms as she smiled back at him.

"Well, I wouldn't waist a moment away from you two." He smiled back.
