14 Chapter 14: The Ice Mountain

The ice mountain was a place that everyone knew about. This place was renowned for its history. 1050 years ago the wise emperor would have led a fight here. After using a spell of divine rank, the magus emperor would have left behind a huge mountain made of ice. Since then, magus but especially fighters flocked to it. The magus were going to this place for a kind of pilgrimage. They thought they could capture, even communicated with the power of merlin on this mountain. Which was not true. The warriors had come to this place for a much better reason. The warriors did not care about Merlin, for them this name was only that of another magician among many others. So they never came to this place for a pilgrimage. On the contrary for had this place was the perfect place to train the body. First they could train their cold resistance. Secondly on this mountain there were many dangerous animals that only existed here ( The use of a divided spell to the same effect as an atomic bomb. The atomic bomb after its explosion leaves a riadactive cloud. Well, the divine spell leaves a cloud of divine mana linked to the element used during the spell. This divine mana will have an effect on the people living in the places. They will have mutations place to the divine mana on the place.)

These animals were both very good at testing his fighting techniques, and their furs were expensive. To finish, the ice and water of this place was known to have purifying and invigorating properties. But once out of the rays of radiation of divine mana, the water and ice lost all its properties. There was therefore no possible exploitation of this area, which is why the site had survived more than 1050 years without undergoing any drilling.

When Prometheus was informed by Brutus that they were leaving together, he was initially doubtful. Then when he heard that Nicolas was coming with him and going to the ice mountain, all his fears disappeared. He packed his luggage the same day in a small bag in metan, the little business he had. That is, the badge Leo had lent him, the undercover clothing he had also been given and finally his mother's ring.

( Sorry to introduce you to this object only now, but don't worry, it will never give, I assure you the slightest power to Prometheus. But this object is terribly important for the development of the plot. Not the current plot but the future, more precisely the end, if my story goes far enough. But frankly the story behind this object is incredible.)

Prometheus remembered this object well. During his childhood this ring had been his only memory of his mother. But at the age of 15 when he fled the kingdom because of the murder charges that weighed on his back. He had to sell the ring to eat, sleep and move around. Prometheus had always blamed himself but he had never succeeded in finding the misterious buyer of his ring. A man in his forties with a whitish complexion whose smell reminded him of something rotting.

But fortunately Prometheus had the ring again and he did not plan to separate. He put the black gold ring on his finger and then closed his bag. He was ready, but Prometheus thought his bag was pretty empty. In fact, no belongings in this bag belonged to him, everything had been given by Leo. Prometheus decided that he was going to do some shopping before returning to practice. So he went to downtown Cheerby.

The town of Cherrby was the birthplace of Prometheus. It was a fairly large city of more than 100,000 inhabitants, yet the total area of the city was minimal. That is, unlike other cities in the region, Cheerby's architecture was not traditional. The too high number of people had encouraged local architects and real estate developers to build high-rise houses. This kind of architecture did not yet have my own, but on earth we call it a building.

Prometheus needed several things. First he needed a sword, hold the weapon that Prometheus currently possessed was good but it was not suitable for him. It was actually a commonplace mercenary sword. Then he needed warm clothes, he would go to the ice mountain and as his name suggested it was not hot there. Then Prometheus wanted to get some magic manuals. So he could make it look like the training exercises he was doing came from these books. And above all Prometheus knew only a few training exercises of the mana brain for beginners. In his previous life, he had not had the opportunity to follow a classical teaching of magic.

He arrived in the vicinity of an armory. It was a fairly classic building although its chimney is five times larger than the average, and active while it was still hot in this season. Prometheus entered the store and headed towards the contortion. In front of him was a blond man with a pink cheek and a round face. The man was smiling at Prometheus. Since the last time Prometheus went to a store he had gained weight and his clothes were much more commonplace. The salesman doesn't have the same disgusting look on his face as last time. The shopkeeper started talking.

- May I help you?

- Yes, I wish to have a sword forged for me.

Prometheus wanted a sword that was both very light and easy to use. He thought a rapier was the ideal weapon for him.

- What kind of weapon do you want?

- A rapier.

The man seemed quite surprised, the rapier had bot be a weapon known to all it was still hard to handle. Seeing a young man of Prometheus' age ask him for one was a rare scene.

- Well, come to the back shop, please.

Prometheus and the merchant went to a room behind the contoire. Inside there were many weapons and weapon plan.

- Look at these plans and tell me if you like them.

The merchant gave Prometheus a large book full of sword plans of all kinds. Prometheus flipped through it while she minuteed and then returned it to the merchant. He showed him the rapier model he wanted and then told him about some changes to be made. After making a mould with the Prometheus hand, the trader told him to come back in two days.
