12 Chapter 12: The man who defied logic.

Everything was going according to plan, Prometheus' acolytes had just arrived at the meeting place. Prometheus headed towards them. But before he had time to join them, a shadow sprang up and knocked out his acolytes. It all happened in less than a second. This shadow was actually Rajnish, Prometheus stopped for a second to observe the surroundings, he was bored that Rajnish had not yet spotted him. But before it was time to do anything, Prometheus heard a path coming from his back.

Prometheus did not take the time to turn around and activated the muscle strengthening spell of the badge and made a huge jump on the roof standing in front of him. The roof was tiled and very steep, Prometheus began to run. The voice began to speak louder.

- Kid, time has come. Fear the guru of NOSTRADAMUS.

Nostradamus used to talk about himself in the third person in combat, it was not out of stupidity or self-sufficiency. He knew his name was scary, and he used it wisely. His technique had an effect on Prometheus, as soon as he recognized the name he was terrified. In his previous life Prometheus had never succeeded in reaching the level of power of Nostradamus, he was in fact always afraid of this man. And now he was standing in front of him. But before Prometheus could face anything, a shadow came out of nowhere and gave a severe blow to Prometheus' child's body. He fell from the stunned roof.

Nostradamus grabbed Prometheus' body and said:

Rajnish was surprised.

- Why? Why?

- I saw his future. In 4 months we will return and this organization will end with the death of the Red King.

- He has to live and come back without him, my plan ends.

Nostradamus could see on average the next 6 months of someone's life. When it grows, this duration will increase to 10 years. Rajnish looked at Nostradamus with some fear.

Nostradamus approached Rajnish and gave him a slap in the bone. Rajnish opened his eyes wide when he realized that Nostradamus was reading his future.

- DON'T LOOK AT MY FUTURE!!

Nostradamus had a dark face filled with disgust, as if he wanted to vomit and hit Rajnish.

Prometheus woke up in front of an alley. It took him some time before he could remember the events that had just taken place. Then suddenly he was panicked.

- Where is he? Why... why didn't I die or in prison. If he touched me, it means he knows my future.

Prometheus was trying to understand why Nostradamus had left him alone, after all Prometheus was working for Leo and had 2 kilos of devil's powder on him. Suddenly he had an idea.

- He must have seen in my future where Leo was. Shit. I have to get back as soon as possible before they're all dead.

Prometheus got up and started running at full speed while activating the muscle strengthening badge. After five minutes of racing fole Prometheus arrived at the red mansion. But nothing had changed. Prometheus saw Brutus in the garden waving at him. Then when he arrived from Leo's living room he found him lying on the couch having a drink. When Leo saw Prometheus he stood up and nodded.

- Leo, doesn't anything happen here? No one attacked you.

Leo watched Prometheus quite surprised.

- No. And then who would be crazy enough to attack us.

Prometheus then sat down in front of Leo, he explained to him the events he had just experienced. But Prometheus decided not to give any details about Nostradamus' identity. Prometheus actually thought that Nostradamus' powers of foresight were not yet developed enough to see far into the future. He thought that's why he let him run away.

Leo rubbed his beard.

- Well, you had no luck. If you want to give up this job, I'll understand.

Prometheus looked at Leo and replied.

- On the contrary, I will continue to do this work and intensify my training.

After saying these words Prometheus stood up and left the room. Prometheus wanted to regain his power level, to become the archimage he was. He had become so weak and helpless, especially since his meeting with Nostradamus, who reminded him that he was only a weak child. Prometheus grabbed a training sword and went into the garden to train. Alone in the shadowy Prometheus sentence, he gave sword blows in the areas.

Prometheus didn't think about anything, he just wanted to practice to become strong. He never wanted to feel powerless again as if he was feeling against Nostradamus or against Troène. He no longer wanted to feel fear but inspired it. Prometheus began to swipe his sword faster and faster and stronger.

Leo carried Prometheus in his arms and put him in him bed.

But what he didn't know what would never know was that Nostradamus would come back. Not today or tomorrow, but in four months.
