1 I'll Reincarnate My Way!

Initializing…

Another life system will begin shortly. Please wait.

This was not how Donovan Brady thought that his life would end. While visiting Europe, he was riding a bus and got caught in a terrorist attack.

"Hello, is anyone around?" Donovan asked since the voice from before seemed so much like a machine.

"Hello mortal." a mans voice was suddenly heard in his head "I've stepped out for a few centuries, but you have nothing to worry about, Your reincarnation will be handled automatically, so you don't need to worry. I hope your next life is a happy one."

"Really, even in the afterlife I have to deal with automated messages?" Donovan asked with annoyance. "Is there a complaints department?"

A moment later, Donovan found himself alone in an office, seated at a desk across from where he assumed that the complaints deity or whatever should be seated, but there is no one there. Instead, there was a note stating that the complaints person was on their 15 year break.

"Initialization complete. Are you ready to reincarnate?" the computerized voice asked.

Donovan ignorred the computerized voice walked around the desk and sat in the other seat to look at the computer, and found that a case file for himself was open.

Donovan, who worked as a computer programmer in his life, decided to use this computer and change things about his reincarnation. Since all these gods were being lazy, it seemed, Donovon went to work studying all he could on the StellarWeb, and found that the stories that humans created caused actual worlds to come into existence, though it was normally impossible for people to actually go to them. It was just something that the gods liked observing.

He checked to see if they ever reincarnated humans into these other worlds, but it looked like they did not. All those light novels he'd read, as interesting as they were, they were not actually something that ever happened before.

Feeling disappointed, he got back into his file and looked at his reincarnation instructions, and found that they intended to erase his memories of his previous life and to have his new mother be a meth head. To hell with that! He did not want to lose his memories or start his next life in that kind of situation!

Donovam hadn't tried hacking since his early teens but under the circumstances, 21 year old Donovan Brady went straight to work with that now, highly motivated! First he wanted to edit his reincarnation instructions, but found that they were finalized and could not be changed, so he tried something else.

Just because something had not happened before did not mean that it could not happen at all. He decided to be the first real earthling to get to reincarnate in another world. He dug into the software, looking for an exploit, and after a huge period of time, he finally found it.

Donovan's stubborness paid off, and after much effort and system exploitation he was able to change the world he'd be reincarnated into, and he selected Remnant. When he selected another world, as he hoped, he was able to finally rewrite his own reincarnation system. He selected to be reincarnated as Jaune Arc in his next life, and to give himself a system to give himself abilities or items from RWBY or from various anime or fiction worlds

Donovan created a skeleton framework for the systen, and gave himself editing controls to smooth out and properly construct the programming over the first year or so of his life while he'd basically be useless for anything else. The only part he had to guarantee before reincarnating was that his system would maintain it's connection to the StellarWeb.

Once Donovan was content that he'd done enough, he mentally confirmed that he was ready to reincarnate.

In his head, Donovan heard the computerized voice again, initializing, and after a couple minutes, everything faded to black, and he couldn't see or feel anything for s moment, before finally he saw his system boot up. Once it finished, he checked his status, which simply said "Time until birth: 8 months, 22 days"

To Donovan, this told him that he was just a collection of cells right now, and he would not be able to see or feel or sense anything but his system for a while. He did not want to directly screw around with his own body while he was still in the womb, so he instead decided to focus on further developing his meat and bones of his system, glad that he could put his programming skills to work in such a way. He'd read a web novel once where a reincarnator used a newby pack to alter himself and it caused his new mothers death, so discretion and patience seemed the best idea.

Thanks to his system, he had a connection to the StellarWeb, as intended, so when he took breaks from programming the system, he read up on the world of Remnant, in particular about characters important to the plot, including Team STRQ, the previous spring maiden, and villains like Neo, Emerald, Mercury and Cinder.

There were many details about them (especially the villains) that were not revealed in the actual canon content, so it was quite fascinating. The months passed, and eventually he could perceive himself in a dark, warm, wet place, and he realized he was in his mothers womb, and it impeded him a bit from programming since he needed to rest a lot, but it did not stop him.

-----

Three years passed in a hurry after he was born, or at least it seemed that way. His parents and his beautiful older sisters spoiled Donovan, who was now Jaune Arc, just like he'd hoped.

According to his system, these were his stats:

------

Aura : 9,304

--- Semblances --- Aura Amp, Glyphs, Petal Burst

Chakra : 1,989

--- Elements --- Mokuton (Wood), Hyouton (Ice), Jinton (Dust), Shakuton (Scorch), Ranton (Storm), Suiton (Water), Doton (Earth), Katon (Fire), Futon (Wind), Raiton (Lightning), Byakugan (White Eye), Tenseigan (Reincarnation Eye)

Reiatsu : 100

--- Zanpaakuto --- Dance Sode no Shirayuki (Shikai) / Dance Hakka no Togame (Bankai)

Strength : 78

Speed : 35

------

When he was reincarnated he started at Zero Karma, but his stat had still said 1. This was because the stat was because it was a percentile, with 100 being the average any particular stat among the populous. This was possible because some people had negative Karma. Jaune never much thought about it, and instead focused on raising his stats, and for a mere three year old, they were quite impressive.

Coding the system had gotten extremely complicated, so in the end he focused on just incorporating RWBY, Naruto, and Bleach related items and powers into it. figuring that would make him plenty powerful, though he had hardly trained his reiatsu at all, instead fucusing on training his Aura and chakra Ninjutsu, he knew, would help him far more early on then anything else, particularly with the shadow clone jutsu.

In fact, in Remnant, the Shadow Clone Jutsu was even more powerful, considering aura exists. As long as his clones had aura, they could freely wander the world. Regretably, even with the system that could give him knowledge of Jutsu's, he still had to learn to actually wield them, so that was how he spent two years with training various jutsu's.

While he had selected as his Zanpakuto, the same one that Rukia possessed in Bleach, in fact, since he hadn't trained much with it he hadn't even unlocked Shikai yet, but he had learned a great many Jutsu thanks to the system, and since he wanted to get used to wielding ice, he had chosen to give himself Hyouton (Ice Release) second after only Mokuton (Wood) so that he could get accustomed to the cold a bit more.

So far he hadn't given himself the Silver Eyes trait, but he had given himself Byakuagan and Tenseigan. Actually, he gave himself that right after he was born and before he opened his eyes, so that as far as anyone knew, his eyes were always like that, but he hadn't really started training with his eyes all that much yet, focusing on learning as many jutsu as possible in just over two years.

Now, one day after his third birthday, Jaune slipped out of his house into the back yard, and took a deep breath before using the shadow clone jutsu, causing him to be joined by 9 clones, which was the most he could safely summon. Creating them would mean that he couldn't train ninjutsu nearly as efficiently, but he had multiple missions he wanted to send them on, so he had to make due.

"You guys know what you need to do." Jaune said to his clones, and gestured to a tree where he'd left 10 stones with the flying thunder god seal on them. It wasn't as cool as using a kunai, but as a kid, carrying that around would seem suspicious, so instead he'd been practicing with stones. This way if something happened to his clone, he'd be able to send another to replace it and the missions could go on as normal.

Thanks to the StellarWeb, he was able to keep track of certain people and their current locations, so each of the nine clones was setting off to meet a different person. Unfortunately, one of the people he would have liked to have saved he was unable too, as her death came ealier then he'd expected, presumably due to a butterfly effect, even though he was never remotely near her. Thechnically, according to the StellarWeb, Gretchen wasn't supposed to die for another year and a half, but there was nothing he could do about that now.

The none people he was sending clones tomeet and interact with were Neopolitan, Emerald, Mercury, Cinder, the current Spring maiden, Summer Rose, Yang Xiao Long, Weiss Schnee, and Blake Belladonna. The one that made contact with Yang would, by extension, also meet and watch over Ruby Rose. Thanks to the transformation Jutsu, they could all take different forms which were appropriate to get close to their targets.

As the clones were leaving, Jaune returned to his house and waited to meet his family when they got up.
