14 Arrival in Vale

After finishing her conversation wing Ozpin, Summer headed to Patch, specifically to the home that she had shared with Tai and the girls.

Signal Academy was on Summer break and it was nearly time for the next year to start, so she was not surprised when she entered and found everyone at the dinner table.

"Mom!" Ruby jumped up, burstind into rose petals and flew over to Summer before reforming in front of her mother and hugging her.

"Mom!" Yang and Rinoa said.

"Summer!" Taiyang called out as they all came over to join Ruby in hugging Summer.

"You know you shouldn't use your semblance in the house, young lady, but under the circumstances we can let this one slide" Tai told Ruby.

Ruby, who was shedding tears of happiness, was made to giggle at her fathers words "Thanks dad."

"I've missed all of you as well." Summer told them all "I wish that it wasn't necessary, but staying away was the only way to keep all of you safe."

"Jaune told us. Even so, it wasn't easy." Yang admitted.

"I visited Oz already" Summer told them all "Ruby, if you want, you can go with your sisters to Beacon this year."

"Really?" Ruby asked, genuinely surprised. She knew Jaune had hinted t her that something would happen and set up this opportunity, but she didn't think it would be as simple as her mother just asking the Headmaster.

During the last two weeks of summer break, Taiyang, Summer and the girls tried to make up for lost time and spent a lot of time together

Also during this time, Team FAMS (Flames), Pyrrha, Weiss, Blake and Jaune were all making their way to Vale. Jaune had suffered some backlash back when he dispelled all of his clones, but thankfully it only amount to a migraine for about two and a half days, he endured it alright in the end, they he could mold chakra well until it had passed. Luckily he created a single clone to send it ahead to Vale while he was still just beginning to process the information and the migraine hadn't gotten that bad yet.

He was not surprised, and somewhat troubled to learn that his clones had taken it upon themselves to date both Weiss and Ruby, but he was most surprised that one of his clones had been dating Neo. While he did aspire to become a god some day, Jaune saw never even considered trying to build a small harem. Even if he had forgotten his previous world for the most part, only recalling programming and anime from it, he was pretty sure that he valued the idea of monogamy there

Now, however, during his trip to Vale, he had to process everything. Even when the information was 'processed, his emotions were not. He had the knowledge and experience of falling in love for the first time, THREE TIMES!

In his mind, all three of them were irreplacably precious, and he wanted to be there for them all, even if it was a bit awkward. He may not have wanted a harem originally, but due to the antics of his clones it looked like he would now be walking down that path, though he thought he might have to keep a tighter leash on his clones in the future. This would probably never happen again, but he figured it better to be safe then sorry.

After all, that level of backlash was ta pain in the rear.

In Vale, Jaune's only clone currently approached a Bulkhead landing sight, watching as a Schnee Dust Company Bulkhead landed nearby. When it opened, Nicholas Schnee stepped out, along with his granddaughter, Weiss.

Spotting Jaune, Weiss's eyes enlarged with excitement and jogged over to him and hugged him, which he naturally reciprocated "Welcome to Vale, Weiss." he said while holding her in his arms as her grandfather approached again.

"Hello again, Jaune." Nicholas greeted him "This is a pleasant surprise."

"Well, I can't let anything bad happen to my Weiss or her grandfather, can I?" Jaune pointed out, causing Weiss to blush a bit, but not dispute his claims "The head of the White Fang in Vale is very hostile to the Schnee Dust Company because of the prior actions of Mr. Jacques Gelé, so until we are safely at Beacon, I thought I'd stick around and look after you both."

Nicholas was well aware of Mr Adam Taurus, and could not blame Jaune for his caution "Very well, we will be in your hands, then, young man." Nicholas agreed, though he also suspected it was to again be close to his granddaughter, Weiss.

During their two weeks of seperation, Weiss had been rather depressed. She hid it well, but herr grandfather could tell she was putting on a strong front to seem mature in front of him. She had always been trying to make him happy, so he liked her being happy.

Now that Jaune had dispelled all his long-term clones and created a new one with the accumulated memories of all the others, he was surprised to find himself techically dating three girls. He hoped that wouldn't be too troublesome down the road.

This clone was formed just as Jaune started processing everything. It also had to process everything, albeit at a much slower pace so it's ability to mold chakra, while limited, was not negated completely, and it only suffered a minor headache for about a week.

Jaune had originally thought that either Weiss or Ruby were the one he he'd most likely persue a relationship beyond friendship with, and now he was dating both of them, and Neo as well, who wasn't remotely on his radar originally.

Yeah, that was likely to cause some conflict in the near future, but right now the clone embrased Weiss, as demanded by the emotions flowing through his heart at that instant.

Finally releasing Weiss after a long embrace, Jaune smiled at her again and looked at her grandfather "Lets go."

Blake had arrived in Vale a day ahead of the start of Beacon's new term and she headed to a hotel to rest for the night before she'd be taking a Bulkhead to the School the next morning.

Blake's current outfit was one that Jaune had seen before. If he had been there he'd recognize it as her volume 1 clothes, with a noticable exception. She wore no ribbon and her ears that were her faunus trait were proudly on display.

As she approached the counter, the Manager frowned at her "We have a VIP coming in today, we don't need you White Fang types hanging around. Leave or we'll call the Police."

"You ignorant fool, not all faunus are with the White Fang. I'm here to rent a room for one night." Blake insisted as an elegant young woman with white hair and wearing a white dress entered and saw the scene.

"Is there a problem?" the elegant young woman, who turned out to be Weiss, asked the manager.

"I just came to rent a room for one night, but they are turning me away because I am a faunus" Blake admitted.

Weiss looked over Blake a bit and smiled "Your name wouldn't happen to be Blake, would it?" she asked.

Blake was momentarilly surprised "That must make you Weiss Schnee." she deduced, curious how Weiss would respond.

The manager looked horrified when he witnessed Weiss throw her arms around Blake and hugged her "After all that Jaune told me, I feel as though we are already sisters." she looked at the manager a moment, then back at Blake "If they don't want my sister here, then my grandfather and I wont be staying here either." she let go of Blake "Lets go find another place together. This is a perfect opportunity, I can't pass it up." she grabbed Blakes hand and tugged her along back outside where Jaune and her grandfather were, to tell them everything needed to be loaded back into the van that brought them there.

The manager had a dumbfounded expression as the pair left.

Blake, however, had a very much positive first impression of Weiss.

Jaune had also told her about her mysterious teammates, so she also wanted to know more about Weiss as well. Blake complied and went along with Weiss without a complaint.
