An unwanted beginning

People always say that when you are at the brink of death, everything would move in slow motion. This seems to be the case for Min Ah, as she stares at the blinding headlights that slowly come towards her in the rain. The sound of the truck's honking filled her ears but there she stood, not budging even an inch.

That was what she wanted. An ending. It's not like she had a reason to end herself, but to her, there wasn't a reason to live to begin with. A life where people try to please her, treating her like something that isn't human makes her feel sick to the stomach. Even though she was going to leave her pretentious little world, she felt nothing, but never once she was happy. She's tired. She's sick of people around her holding her accountable for their own happiness. How can she make others happy if she can't even feel happy herself? That's human nature to blame, always asking for the impossible.

She closed her eyes and let the truck impact end her. But she was wrong. It wasn't an end. It's only a new beginning.
