Chapter 414/58: Dungeon Experience III

As the small spiderlings attacked everyone on the ground, each member fighting off against 3 or more spiderlings, Gus whop had already recovered together with the swordswoman and the saint then went ahead to confront the huge black spider looming above everyone. Of course such small monsters barely posed any threat to Kaido, nevertheless he still didn't made any move whatsoever as he still completely observed the three members going off against the boss of the room while he occupies himself with some small fries.

While everyone was being kept busy, Gus then gave out the command towards the swordswoman and the saint besides him.

"I'll take its attention, the both of you either support me and deal some damage!"

"Roger that!" replied by the swordswoman as she splits to the side

"Understood" said the saint as she followed Gus

As they came closer the swordswoman then took the charge as she swung her sword towards one of the front legs of the huge black spider, causing the monster to look her direction. However before the huge black spider could spot the swordswoman's exact location, the saint then suddenly used a spell to blind its sight which was then followed up by an attack from Gus whiuch aimed at its face.

"Blinding Light!!!"

"Heroic Leap!!! Heavy Hitter!!!"

Upon successfully landing a blow against the huge black spider, the monster itself then screeched in a high tone which deaf everyone's ear for a few seconds including Kaido which causes him to scowl. and swept it's right front leg across half of the area, thus blowing half of the group off their feet including Kaido.

But despite that the Priest and the saint immediately casted out their spells to quickly heal everyone and cure them of the deaf ailment of the huge black spider.

"Wide Great Heal!!!

"Purifying Domain!!!"

When that was done, the huge black spider that notices the annoying support of both priest and saint as it screeched and lounged towards them in a jump. Upon seeing the huge spider jump, both the priest and saint quickly ran away in fear as they got out of the range of the impact and landed quite far away from their assigned post.

However the huge black spider quickly turned around to face the saint, causing the saint to scream in fear, before it shoots its web towards the said saint. But before the web could capture the saint, Lilia quickly dashes in as she picked up the saint from the ground barely dodging the web, before she threw in numerous explosives towards the spider's face.

But even thought they managed to get away from the huge black spider,  numerous spiderlings still stormed her in as she desperately protected the saint from their assaults. The moment she got surrounded on all sides, she then activated her skills which naturally hides her presence as she splits herself into dozen clones before frantically attacking in all direction.

"Fog dance!!! Shadow clones!!!"

While Lilia was busy attacking the spiderlings, the saint then casted some spells to aid Gus from afar while being protected by an assassin. Naturally with such a huge hole in the formation, the priest naturally took the saint's place as he readied himself to aid the main damage dealer.

This time however Shelly was able to help the attacking team since Kaido was literally ripping apart the spiderlings all around him out of annoyance with his bare hands. Since Kaido was mostly taking all of the enemies including the egg sacks, Shelly herself was free to attack the huge black spider in the room.

"Taunting Roar!!!"

As Gus took the huge black spider's attention, the swordswoman and Shelly then attacked the spider in their respective area with an intention to cut off its legs.

"Frenzy Slash!!!"

"Huntress Critical strike!!!"

But despite their efforts, they cant seem to damage the exoskeleton to the huge black spider, causing both of them to squirm in annoyance.

"It's exoskeleton is too tough!" said the swordswoman

"We cant damage it!" shouted Shelly

Hearing their reports, Gus then quickly begun forming a back up plan as he then gave out an order towards everyone.

"Since we cant damage its shell, we just need to attack its exposed body part! Aim for the eyes!!!"

After saying that Gus then quickly ran up towards the spider as he blocked the attack from its sharp limbs. with two consecutive skills, he then charged forward as he swung down his sword towards its eyes while being supported by the priest and mage of the group.

"Rapid regeneration! Indomitable aura!!!" casted by the priest

"Strength enhancement!!! All rounder stats up!!!"| casted by the mage

"Heroic Leap!!! Heavy Swing!!!" casted by Gus

As he swung down his sword to aim for its eyes, the huge black spider suddenly moved a little to the side causing his attack to miss and Gus cursing out in a deep voice.

"I missed! Damn!!!"

But before he could follow up an attack to not waste the buff's he received, the huge black spider suddenly tackled him to the wall causing Gus to crash heavily a hard place and a huge tough shelled monster.

"Gah!!!"

Unfortunately that didn't end there as the huge black spider continuously tackled most of the people causing most of them to crash unto the wall. First it was the priest followed by the swordswoman then Shelly , Lilia, the saint, and lastly the mage. The only people that it didn't attack were Kaido and the brawler of the group.

Completely downing both the priest and the saint, everyone except the brawler and Kaido could get healed in time as they all ached in pain. Upon seeing the situation the brawler then quickly raises its arms it an eye level as he charged forward towards the spider.

"Unbending will!!! Reinforced iron bones!!!"

After casting out two skills he then dodged the attacks of the huge black spider as he went under it as delivered out a furious upper punch.

"Knock-up strike!!!"

Completely sending the huge black spider in airborne, the brawler then begun its combo  as it drilled the spider with its skills

"Double air punch!!! Tyrant's fist!!! Shattering Blow!!!"

With its last skills completely throwing the huge black spider against the wall as it crashes the ground, the brawler then jumped high using a certain skill a he delivered a diving kick right towards its abdomen.

"Soaring Jump!!! Eagle Stomp!!!"

Of course the huge black spider naturally tried to fight back, but the brawler simply dodged its every strike from its limbs as it delivered a counter punch from its every swing. With such a huge takeover, the rest of the group then soon managed to regain their footing as they plan to attack once more.

But just as they stood up from the ground, they suddenly heard a loud screech from the huge black spider as the brawler was then sent flying from just a one strike. In that moment everyone could see its blood shot eyes as they realized that the monster had entered a berserk state.

Seeing such state, Gus then quickly gave out a command.

"Its in Berserk state!!! everyone be careful from its attack! front liners slowly distance yourself away from it! long rangers... hit it with you most powerful attack! at this state the monster should already be in its vulnerable state"

Hearing Gus words, everyone then nodded in agreement as everyone back off quite some distance from the black spider and begun pouring down some powerful ranged attacks.

"Rain Fire!!!" casted out by the mage

"Holy Bindings!!!" casted out by the priest

"Judgement Spear!!!" casted out by the Saint

"Sword Wave!!!" called out by the swordswoman

As the attacks landed, the huge black spider then screech in pain as it felt the impact of the attack from its own exoskeleton. Writhing in pain the huge black spider then tried to move forward as it suddenly notices that its movement was once again restrained by the spell of the priest causing it to screeched loudly.

On the other hand upon seeing that the huge black spider was having a hard time getting out of its restraints despite being in berserk mode, Gus then quickly gathered everyone's attention as he shouted out a command.

"It cant get out of its restraints! Quick this is our chance! take it down as fast as you can!!!"

With Gus in the lead, everyone aside from Kaido then charges forward as the long rangers begun blinding up the Huge black spider sights. while the Mage, Priest, and saint deliberately blind the huge b lack spider, Gus on the other hand charge underneath the spider as it swug down it's sword to one of its legs.

"Heavy Strike!!!"

Following his attack, the swordswoman then came in together with Lilia as they attacked the huge black spider leg at the same spot where Gus had attacked it.

"Sword Barrage!!!"

"Shadow Clones!!! Clone Frenzy!!!"

After dealing that significant damage the brawler then quickly came in between as he struck his fist towards that particular leg, causing the exoskeleton to finally break down and crush the forefront spider leg.

"Fury Fist!!!"

As the spider fell in writhing pain, Shelly together with Gus then quickly climb up the huge black spider's body as they and quickly attacked its eyes with a stab instead of a slash.

"Fatal Stab!!!"

"Sword thrust!!!"

In that moment 2 out of 8 eyes had been dealt with as both Shelly and Gus jumped away as spells quickly rained down on the huge black spider.

"Lava Lance!!!" casted by the Mage

"Star Bombs!!!" casted by the Priest

"Holy Swords!!!" casted by the saint

Beating the huge black spider in left and right, both Lilia and the swordswoman then climb up on the back of the huge black spider as they begun their frenzied attack on its back. With each of their strike, both of their attacks slowly breaks down its exoskeleton as cracks started to form all over its body. At this very moment only Kaido himself was the only person killing the spiderlings loitering around, nevertheless since the people who were attacking the black spider seemed to be at the advantage, Kaido restrained himself from helping out.

After Lilia and the swordswoman finally dealt their attacks to the point of having its exoskeleton slowly breaking down, the brawler then quickly climbed up its body as it jumped up in the air and dived down in a attack from above

"Eagle Stomp!!!"

In one drop kick, the brawler finally broke through the huge black spider exoskeleton as blood spurted all over the ground and the monster fell.

Slowly as the huge black spider's eye grew dim, all the spiderlings around them slowly died off when the huge black spider also died. Upon seeing the situation, Gus then raises his shield as he announces their victory.

"We did it.... We did it!!!"

"Wooooohhhhh!!!!"

As everyone cheered for the successful take down of the monster, Kaido himself finally dropped to the ground with a tinge of exhaustion just from blocking the whole spiderlings wave on all on his own. Soon after Gus then gathered everyone as he gave out a bright vibe towards his whole team.

"Nice work everyone! we finally took down that monster, nevertheless we couldn't have done it without the help of that kid blocking the spiderlings" said Gus as he pointed his finger towards Kaido, causing everyone to suddenly come into a realization

After all while everyone was busy on taking down the monster as a group, Kaido himself had literally soloed the whole wave of monster, thus his effort and achievement were far greater than anyone in this room. After realizing that part, some of them thanked Kaido, while some finally called him out as a useful person after all.

With everyone having different meaning when they thanked Kaido from his lone efforts, Gus himself then called out everyone's attention as he said out the following words.

"With that done, we can finally get out of this room... everyone prepare yourself, once the door opens, we will all get out of here"

Right after he said those words, the door then actually opened as it slowly moved its heavy dusted doors. Seeing such a sight, Gus then quickly walked forward as he happily led the whole team out of the particular room.

However just as he was about to enter the said room, a huge spider leg then came in swing down from the hallway as it  blew away Gus together with the brawler and the swordswoman.

While Gus was able to tank his crash due to his armor, the swordswoman and the brawler naturally crashed in pain as they couldn't understand why they were blown away. Not soon after all of their questions were then answered as a huge hairy brown spider walk out from behind the huge door, towering over them far bigger than the black spider they had killed.

Seeing another spider popped out behind the door, everyone then realized that this place was literally a dead end for them. Just as the huge hairy brown spider crawl out of the door, everyone then had a grim expression on their faces as they were all literally exhausted from the previous fight and don't have enough strength to fight another boss like monster.

As if that wasn't enough, the floor then shook intensely as everyone staggered on their feet and saw the ground slowly breaking up for no unknown reason. Few seconds after a huge spider leg rose up from the ground, giving everyone a fright as they witnessed a tall yellow spider crawl out from one of the side of the circular area.

In that moment the whole team were not facing one, but two huge monsters at the same time.

Upon realizing such turn of events, the whole group then started panicking as they picked up everyone who were down and gathered at one end point of the circular arena in order to protect themselves in two ways.

Based on what they look like, the spider that came out from behind the door was the hairy type which serves as both defense and counter against any attack. The one who came out from below the ground was a tall one to the point that it could attack them from afar. But no matter who they fought, it was literally inevitable that they could get wiped out in the process.

With such situation, Gus commanded everyone as he tries to calm everyone down.

"Everybody stay together! do not stray! If you stray then you will be done for"

Unfortunately despite Gus charismatic guidance towards the whole group, everyone outside from Kaido's circle was still as chaotic as ever.

"The door was a trap all along! we are at the dead end!" complained by the mage

"Does that mean that there was no way out?" asks by the saint

"Pretty sure there ain't any" replied by an annoyed brawler

"But what about beyond the hallway wherein the the huge hairy spider came out?" asks by the swordswoman

"I don't know! but how can we be sure that the hallway isn't a dead end either?"

With such question posed right in front of their faces, everyone then  had a grim expression on their faces as they faced such boss monsters. If they don't do anything, then perhaps the whole team would then be wiped out in this dungeon raid.

In that moment while Shelly was calculating her chances to escape, Lilia then turned towards Kaido as she saw the person himself was also looking for a way out. Realizing that Kaido also doesn't have an answer for their current situation, Lilia couldn't help but somehow begun simulating her chances of making it out alive of this place

"Its no use" muttered Shelly

"What did you say?" asks Lilia

"I said even if we pull out all of our resources just to get out of this place and bet our survival on the hallway beyond the door, we would still lose a considerable amount of people, after all we don't even know what's beyond it" cleared out by Shelly

"But we should try right? I mean its just a probability" said Lilia

"Well yeah!, but that probability is low"

Upon hearing such low rate of survival, Lilia then couldn't help but think of a situation which they will force there way out through brute force. If push comes to shove about 3 to four of them would die just from attempting to escape the spider

In that moment just when they thought that everything was over for them, Kaido then suddenly spoke out, which caused the whole group to turn his way in surprise.

"Up!"

"Up" asks everyone

"There is a way out up there beyond the ceiling" stated out Kaido

"How can you be sure?" asks Gus

"Wind current! the air coming from the hallway and the huge hole on the ground leads upwards... and the wind goes up, then there must be an opening above it" explained Kaido

When Gus heard such conjecture, he then thought for a bit as he suddenly gave out an order while the two spiders were focusing on each other.

"Everyone! we need to go up! Mages! Priest! Saint! lift us all up using the levitation spell"

Hearing his command those three aforementioned people then quickly casted their spell as everyone begun to levitate upwards, following the current of the air. When everyone arrived at the ceiling, the two spiders below then turned its gaze towards the whole group levitating in the air, as they screeched and begun rushing up to them on the walls.

Seeing the monsters angrily charging up towards them like a feral beast, Gus then turned his attention towards the ceiling as he roared and smashed aprt the ceiling with the use of his shield

"Shield Bash!!!"

With a slight shake, the ceiling then begun to produce cracks all over causing everyone to become anxious as they helped Gus in destroying the obstacle.

"Sword draw!!!" called out by the swordswoman

"Berserker Fury!!!" called out by the brawler

"Impactful strike!!!" called out by Lilia

"Shield Bash!!!" called out by Gus

"Fire Lance!!!" casted by the mage

"Bombardment!!!" called out by Shelly

"Sword of Light!!!" casted by the saint

"Cress blast!!!" casted by the priest

With such a multitude of an attack, the whole group finally crumbled down the ceiling as such rocks fell unto the spiders below. When the ceiling was finally removed, everyone then saw a teleportation circle embedded unto the wall above as it somehow also leads the air current to another location.

With such a chance to escape, everyone then hurried over towards the teleportation circle , as they all disappeared without any trace from that place
