408 Chapter 408/52: Lilia meets Kaido

[Proto Earth 1]

Having touched her shoulder and added to the fact the eerie feeling she got as she got followed by the pursuer, Lilia immediately jumped out in fright as her natural instincts kicks in and quickly did a quick self defense maneuver to rid of her pursuer

At that she Grabbed Kaido's arm above her shoulder with her left hand to lock his movement as she hastily delivered a quick elbow strike to his guts, but as if reading her intentions, Kaido then quickly raised up his knee to block Lilia's elbow strike as he got suddenly flipped over with incredible strength coming from Lilia's pull

Unknown to him, when Lilia saw that her elbow strike was nicely blocked by her pursuers knee cap, she then quickly adjusted her thoughts and mindset in a snap of her finger as she then pulled Kaido with her full force on her left hand, causing the person himself to be flipped over due to her quick maneuver

With that Kaido then crashed to the ground on his back, as he gritted his teeth in pain and quickly applied a psychic barrier around himself just in time to block Lilia's foillow up punch to the face

On the other hand when Lilia saw that her pursuer suddenly erected a some type of a barrier on himself and blocked her punch, she then quickly jumped away to distance herself and somehow was able to dodge Kaido's instant knee swipe by just a hair's breath

As she distanced herself she then pulled out two knives from her system storage as she quickly directed her own system

"Quick! Entering combat"

(Sys: "Entering combat mode")

In a snap Lilia's whole body was immediately donned in an assassin combat uniform as she faced Kaido who was somehow surprised by that sudden transformation in a split second

While Kaido was somehow surprised, Lilia on the other hand started analyzing her pursuer and immediately recognized some minor detail according to the recent news report of a roaming monster of the dungeon

Black hair, Black aura, Red eyes, Weird ability, adding it all up, Lilia then suddenly realized that her current pursuer was none other than the so called monster of the dungeon itself, but despite calling it a monster, she somehow couldn't help but think of it as a human due to its human appearance

With that she begun consulting her system in her own mind while the situation was still in stalemate

"Hey! this monster looks more like a human than a monster itself, are your sure that the government didn't mistake a player as a monster?"

(Sys: "How would I know? I'm not the government! I'm just a simple independent system")

"Then what should we do? apprehend him? the more I look at him, the more I'm convinced that that thing is a human"

(Sys: "Well if he prove to be dangerous, well....")

"Well What? Your quite useless sometimes"

(Sys: "Thanks for the compliment")

"That's not a compliment"

In that instant while she was currently occupied by her thoughts with her system, Kaido then suddenly came towards her in am instant, causing her to suddenly be alarmed by such speed and got blown away by a straight punch coming from the latter

Afterwards, Kaido raised up his hand towards her, and started firing off a huge torrent of flames from his hand and directed it all towards Lilia

Upon seeing the flame surging towards her, she was then alarmed once more as she quickly dodged to the side, just in time to dodge the torrent of flames and hide towards another corner of the street

After that she immediately concealed her presence through some kind of a breathing technique which calms her whole nerve, thus eliminating any vibrations that her whole body used produce and become invisible to all six senses of a human being

By completely eliminating her presence by calming her whole nerves to the point of near pure invisibility and quietly entering through the dark corners of the street, Lilia was then able to hide from Kaido's senses including vibration navigation, causing the person himself to suddenly turn cautious due to the fact that he can't even sense her through the use of elements in the surroundings

Because of that Kaido quickly erupted a pyschic barrier all around his body as he then started darting his gaze all around and completely oblivious to the fact that Lilia herself managed to slip behind him

"What the hell? Where did she go? Is this some form of magic? Invisibility magic? No thats impossible! Even if one's becomes invisible for a short period of time, he or she wouldn't be able to completely conceal its presence from its surroundings... this is completely unlogical!!!" Muttered Kaido

In that instant Kaido suddenly felt a threatening presence all around him as he then suddenly bursted out a huge air shockwave all at every corner of his blindspot and hoping that atleast his reckless attack may hit its target no matter where it hide

Unfortunately Lilia kept herself calm as she dashed past Kaido's shockwave through small opening in between and slit his throat in that following moment despite hearing him saying something gibberish a few seconds ago

Unfortunately the moment she slit his throat, she then suddenly heard a sharp crisp sound of her knife as she hits Kaido's pyschic barrier, thus doing nothing to harm her target

But Lilia herself was quick on the uptake, the moment she noticed the presence of some sort of barrier around her attacker, she then quickly jumped back and she threw in numerous knives towards Kaido and activated one of her many skills to quickly produce realistic clones of herself of about 10 copies

After that she let her clones to charge towards Kaido, causing the latter to be caught up in surprise, while she herself hid in the midst of her clones and wait for the chance to deliver a critical strike to her target

Unbeknownst to her Kaido himself had experience in dealing with such clones on two worlds of both magic and psychic, due to that he simply took a single step back as he fought agaisnt the clones in close combat form and pick them off one by one

One got punched, one got chopped, one got pushed, one got flipped, one got kicked, and many more

With his precise control of his body, adding to his heightened senses due to his numerous experience of life threatening battles, Kaido was then immediately saw through Lilia's pattern as he then concluded that such a person lacks any form of battle experience, thus causing her to show a lot of openings in some of her maneuvers

Nevertheless he aims to actually get some information from the girl about this world, thus he wasn't worried or in a hurry to finish the fight right here and now

However despite Kaido's aggressive display of strength, Lilia kept creating more clone's of herself as she started gathering a huge amount of thick mana unto her knife weapon for a decisive attack

While Kaido was distracted from the onslaught of clones that are coming at him in different angles, Lilia then quickly ran up to the wall to the side as she delivered a surprise quick overhe4ad attack and stabbed out her knife towards Kaido's head

Unfortunately Kaido quickly saw this coming from the edge of his sight as he reacted just as fast as Lilia and tilted his head to the side, just in time to dodge the head stab coming from the latter, but that didn't end there at all as Lilia immediately flipped over her knife hold upon noticing her failed initial attack and quickly did a multiple cross slash against Kaido's chest area which is protected from his barrier

In the span of 5 seconds, Lilia was able to inflict 30 cross slash against kaido's barrier, with each strike hitting spot for each slash, but due to that quick pressure in that certain area, Kaido's Barrier then finally showed signs of breaking causing both of them to be alarmed at the certain moment

Of course both of them were alarmed in their own different meanings, while Kaido was alarmed by the sight of his barrier showing signs of breaking thus forcing him to quickly jump back in defense, Lilia on the other hand was alarmed by the sight of the barrier breaking, thus causing her to fervently attack quicker one after another 

But before she could follow up her attack which led to Kaido's barrier breaking down, the latter himself suddenly stretched out his hand unto her belly and Strucked her with a sudden explosive blast at point blank range, causing a huge explosion which shattered the windows of the nearby houses, and alarming the people living in it

Because of that explosion, many people was then suddenly enlightened by a fight happening on their street as they rushed out and try to stop the fighting from expanding even more, but when those people came out of their houses with their own weapon on hand like a stick of some sort, all they see left was nothing but a broken down street and a apparent blast  mark which was left by the explosion, seemingly a fight had really gone down on this particular road

With both Kaido and Lilia suddenly disappearing on that particular street, they would naturally be on another as they clashed against each other while moving about in the street, before being one of them getting thrown towards a certain playground for kids in the neighborhood

Of course the person that got thrown away was none other than Lilia herself as Kaido grabbed her ankle and threw her to toward the kids playground and causing her to crash down on the monkey bars of the site

As for the reason why they are in such place after the explosion, Lilia naturally brought the fight elsewhere as she quick recovered using a roll and dashed away from the fight, and naturally since Kaido was targeting her, the person himself naturally chased after her, but as they ran and fight, she unexpectedly got caught, thus putting her in this current situation

After coughing out hard, Lilia then slowly stood up on her place as she held out her knife in her right hand and pulled out a short sword from her storage space and stances herself for a fight

In that moment however Kaido the spoke up which stunned Lilia by a lot

"Your quite good, not gonna lie... unfortunately you met me, someone who is way better and experienced than you in fighting"

"You... you can speak?" asks Lilia in surprise

Hearing Kaido suddenly speaking her words with the help of the system's auto speech translator, Lilia was then naturally shocked by the sudden occurrence as she asked him back, unfortunately the translation only goes one way, thus Kaido still couldn't understand what she said and simply regarded it as gibberish

Upon seeing his reaction, Lilia then suddenly came into conclusion as she suddenly asked

"You don't understand me don't you?"

"..."

No reply, with that Lilia then thought up of numerous questions which could prove her own conclusion as she slowly backed away

"Your a human right? not a monster? What's your name? Where did you come from?Do you know the word humanity?"

"..."

Seeing no reply whatsoever, Lilia then slightly shifted her attention  towards her system and asked for confirmation

"Hey! can you figure out if the guy in front of me can understand what I'm saying?"

Hearing her words, the system obediently followed through as it analyzed and scanned Kaido, soon after she then received the results form the system's analyzation

(Sys: "Status confirmed! the person right in front of you doesn't understand the language of this world, thus resulting to his unresponsiveness")

Hearing such confirmation, Lilia then backed away even more as she suddenly asked her system

"Is there any way we can make him understand us?"

(Sys: "There is a way host! Unfortunately it will be very difficult to accomplish! There's a chance that you may get killed")

Upon hearing that Lilia completely disregarded such a warning as she inquired further

"Tell me"

With such resolve, the system had no choice but to comply to her request as it produced an ear bud right at her hand

(Sys: "Simply put you will need to insert this earbud unto his ears to cause an auto language translation to suddenly activate and automatically translate our language to his own, but doing this might kill you seemingly to his violent behavior... told you there's a chance that you may get killed in the process... anyway good luck")

For a moment Lilia was totally stunned from what she heard as the system's suggestion was truly dangerous even for her, after all knocking the opponent out was much an easier job than just putting an earpiece on its ears, thus with that she was literally flabbergasted

Unfortunately such a situation didn't let her show up her own emotions at all as Kaido suddenly went in for a lounge and before starting to harass her with numerous slashes made out of thin air

Due to the attribute of the attack which is almost transparent, Lilia was then having a hard time figuring the scale of the attack as she instinctively dodged anywhere she could move before she threw in some round object unto the floor causing huge smoke to suddenly erupt into the surroundings

Sadly Kaido wouldn't just take that sneak attack lying down as he quickly created a separated wind dome around his perimeter to distance himself from the smoke, and quickly sending out numerous small shockwaves unto the ground to serve as his temporary sonar to this blinding tactic

But the moment he did such a thing, he then suddenly realized multiple targets moving around him, causing him to be alerted to Lilia's shadow cloning skills and instantly become wary of his surroundings like an animal baring its fangs towards its sneaky opponent

Of course despite Kaido sending out some miniscule shockwaves towards the ground to sense his targets location, Lilia on the other hand was completely aware that she had been seen through by her opponent due to her system warning her of miniscule sensory waves happening in the ground

Due to that she readied herself amidst the smoke as she moved around in circles to prevent Kaido from noticing the real body and controlling her clones to attack him in different directions

When she made her clones attack Kaido, the person himself then suddenly reacted in a moments notice as he quickly entered a swift close quarter combat mode and dealt with the clones with few swift counter of his own

But no matter how he attacks, the only thing that Kaido could destroy was Lilia's clones and nothing more, with such a confusing and dreadful situation Kaido then suddenly jumped as high as he could while suddenly raining down countless fireballs towards the smokescreen on the ground, which literally spooked the citizens in the area once more

While Kaido was preoccupied by his bombing, Lilia then swiftly ran out of the smokescreen together with her own clones and darted towards Kaido by stepping unto the objects around the area

Following that she and all of her clones suddenly threw out a rain if knives towards Kaido, causing all of them to explode in unison upon hitting his psychic barrier

Afterwards Lilia used one of her skills once more to suddenly teleport behind him and delivered a strong kick to the head with an intent to strike him down to the ground, but before her legs could ever reach their target, Kaido suddenly grabbed unto her leg and swiftly threw her back to the ground herself, a complete reversal move of the earlier assault

As Lilia crashed to the ground, Kaido then immediately dropped down from the sky as he quickly dashed towards the former and choked her with his bare hands, after that with a swift maneuver he instantly did an instant rotating jump in midair and slammed her unto the ground head first, thus causing Lilia's armor to suddenly take a huge drop in durability

"Gah!"

With that strong impact which could literally knockout anyone despite their toughness, Lilia suddenly noticed she suddenly felt dizzy to that sudde impact head first and was about to lose consciousness, but she struggled to keep her consciousness intact and try to finish her objective

Unfortunately Kaido misinterpreted such an action as he quickly pulled out Lilia from the ground and quickly dashed once more across the street and slammed her head unto one of the stone fence owned by a neighboring household

"Gah!!"

Despite that Lilia bit her tongue to keep herself conscious from the impact as she locked her arm unto the hadn that was choking her and tried to insert the earpiece once more towards Kaido's ear

But once again Kaido misinterpreted the action once more as he suddenly pulled her out from the rubble and dashed towards the nearest vehicle from their location and slammed her against the engine of the car, but that didn't end their as Kaido sparked an electricity around the engine causing the whe vehicle to explode right before Lilia

With Kaido's pyschic barrier the person himself was totally unharmed from the explosion even at close proximity, but the same couldn't be said for Lilia since she was the person who took the full brunt of the explosion after being pummeled down by Kaido

Despite all those hardness, Lilia on the other hand finally managed to insert the earpiece towards Kaido's ear and smiled back when she saw the system doing its job and send out a few words towards Kaido as she lose consciousness

"Finally... you... can... understand... me..."

With that Lilia slumped to the ground completely motionless from the beat down that was done to her, on the other hand Kaido himself was shocked to suddenly understand Lilia's words which caused him to mutter in shock

"I... can understand you? What the hell!!!"
