Christmas passed along with New Years and it's now 1943. Tom turned 16 years old before the year ended.

The winter break continued and news of Captain America along with his Howling Commandos began to surface.

Every soldier rescued from the Hydra base now made up the Howling Commandos. An elite combat unit led by Captain America himself.

Speaking of Captain America, he seemed to have finally received his vibranium shield from Stark. Tales of the Captain's mighty shield spread far and wide. Especially to Wakanda, who had to investigate how he got his hands on their treasured metal.

Of course, the investigation showed that Steve didn't steal it from Wakanda, nor did Howard for that matter. Apparently, it was a small piece of the meteor that broke off and landed many miles away from Wakanda.

It was found and later sold to Stark for cheap since the owner had no idea what it was.

Wakanda would usually retrieve any Vibranium from non Wakandan hands. Even if the metal wasn't from Wakanda itself in the first place. Vibranium was their property no matter where it came from, but the tribal council decided to leave the metal where it is this time.

Although Wakanda did not and will not involve themselves with World War Two, they could see that the bad guys are currently winning. Leaving the shield with Captain America can be said as Wakanda's contribution to the war effort. They hoped with this the war will end swiftly.

Soon, with the help of the Howling Commandos, the allied forces began to push back the Axis powers. The invisible line of war began moving and not in Hitler's preferred direction.

While the tides of war were turning, Tom separated from Druella and went back to his training and studies.

Over what little time he had left of the winter break, Tom worked hard on three things.

First, he continued studying his university books to decipher the knowledge in his mind.

Second, he visited his secret lair and continued studying and fixing everything from Stark industries. The adventure up the tree of technology has been a hard one so far.

Third, he went back to working on project Gilgamesh, which seemed more impossible by the minute.

"This project will be the death of me." Tom mutters as he wallowed in failure.

After pondering over what he should do about his continued failure, Tom decided to try and solve his problem in a different manner.

'What if I'm still tethered to the weapon? It shouldn't disappear as long as it stays in contact with me.' Tom thought as the image of a string attached to his eldritch weapons surfaces in his mind.

Tom immediately tried testing it out and conjured eldritch energy as usual. He then formed the energy into the broad sword that he's most comfortable with.

With determination in his eyes, Tom flips the sword and stabs it into the ground. Taking a deep breath and concentrating as hard as he can, Tom begins forming a thin string of eldritch energy at the base of the sword's handle. The string appears and Tom holds it with two fingers, completely removing his grip from the sword.

"Hehe, It works!" Tom exclaimed as he stared at his handy work.

After proving his hypothesis correct, Tom decided to test the limits of his idea. He began drawing more eldritch energy and extending the string, as he steps back from the sword.

With each step, the string becomes longer and Tom grows further and further from the Eldritch sword. After taking five steps back, the control needed to keep the sword and strings form became too high. On the sixth step, the sword started to distort and the string crumbled away.

The sword and string disappear as if they were never there, but this didn't deter Tom's excitement. This is the first step to the completion of project Gilgamesh.

"I just need to practice my control and figure out how to launch the weapon." Tom thought with a smile plastered on his face.

When the winter break ended, Tom was able to stand ten meters away from his weapons without any problem. The only thing he hasn't progressed on is launching them.

Neither the Hallows nor the Space Stone was finished with their analysis yet. Hopefully, at least one of them would be finished soon.

When Tom returned to Hogwarts, everything continued as usual. Classes continued with Tom reigning above everyone.

The many clubs run by Druella and Toms followers began to flourish.

Toms followers continued their morning training and study, and fulfilled their mission of integrating with the other houses.

Hogwarts was changing slowly but surely and the divide between houses was starting to vanish away.

Steve hasn't called for Tom yet, which is fine. The man has superpowers and the Howling Commandos at his back. He shouldn't need Tom unless things get truly difficult.

While at Hogwarts, Tom decided to start practicing wandless magic. He's mastered every wizarding spell available to him. Every spell from Hogwarts and his personal library has been mastered to a high degree.

When he started his wandless training, Tom began with the simplest of spells.

"Lumos!" Tom calls over and over while sitting on his bed.

After half an hour of failure, Tom tried adding more power to the spell.

"Lumos!" He calls again and pushed as much magic into the spell as he could.

A bright light flashes above his hand-powered by a big chunk of his magic. The light blinds his eyes for a moment causing Tom to see spots for the rest of the night.

'At least it's working. Now I just need to keep practicing and master the control without a wand as a crutch.' Tom thought as he continued practicing until he had no magic remaining in his reserves.
