One Dies For a Thousand

Vampires are supernatural being, they could heal in a fast rate than human but when a limb or organs were cut from their body, they were unable to create their body. Especially one they could never regenerate were their fangs. To vampires having short fangs were and embarrassment much less pulling fangs which the same as taking vampire's reason for being one.

Receiving Jung Hwa's suggestion to change the punishment into pulling fangs made the two men felt chill at his words. "Don't even joke with that Hwa." Turning his voice he found a reddish brown eyes half vampire named Rae Neul, Lee Young's subordinates. "You know if any pureblood heard your words they will take it as an offense, don't you?"

Jung Hwa shrugged his shoulder and jammed one hand on his right trouser pocket. "It's just a suggestion." Rae Neul knew even though Jung Hwa said it as a joke, the young pureblood was as twisted as he was. There was no telling when he will pull someone's fangs and perhaps the day wouldn't be too far off.

"So, why am I called here?" Jung Hwa asked to see Rae Neul staring at the corpses without having his eyes turn to bright red colors. "Lee Young ask you to use your power for this case, please do it on these three men. We need to know what happen to them." Rae Neul took our a small knife which was a size of his palm and gave it to him.

Lee Yong hummed, his red gaze moving on the blood that from the three men slowly turning into a branches of trails, one of them stopped at his heels. His mother was a different pureblood than the rest of vampiress. This was due to her power of ordering her blood to her use. Like a living parasitic fluid, the blood would follow her orders and changed their shapes accordingly. It was a genetic power which he also inherited and often use.

Taking the knife, Jung Hwa didn't hesitate and slashed his wrist swiftly. Taking his palm, he leaded the trails of blood to trail and mixed at the pool of bloods. Closing his eyes, Jung Hwa took a moment to open and say, "From what I see, their transformation to vampires failed and turned the three to the hollowed state and was killed at the time."

Chung Gon narrowed his eyes at the new information he received. The purebloods were restricted from turning humans to vampires by law for a reason. When a person is about to turn to a vampire, there was fifty chances the transformation failed, leading them to the lowest Vampire creatures, the hollowed. On the state, the hollowed wouldn't discriminate their enemies and attack whatever close to them. "So they died because their transformation failed? By the same pureblood who turned them into vampires?"

"There's a high possibility." Jung Hwa said, the wound on his wrist had began to close up and without leaving a scar.

"Then, first we will have to search for the suspect and the weapon used to kill the three hollowed." Chung Gon stated and had Jung Hwa speaking again. "I don't think there's any need to search for the weapon." Pointing his finger on the hole made in the chest he said. "This wounds weren't from knifes but made by a clean thrust by the suspect's hand, the rest were made by knifes but only to hide this wound."

"Do you think there is any way to pin point the murderer?" Deok Ji-Hyeang asked, his mouth felt bitter and thought he needed another cigarette.

"I don't know." Yet his mischievous grin work the opposite of the words he uttered. "Isn't it your job to do this?" Having no words to return toward the man, they could only gave a reluctant sigh.

"You should not tease your elders, Hwa." Rae Neul reminded him and strode forward to lessen their distance. "Thank you for your cooperation."

"No problem, so what did Lee Young call me here for? I'm sure it's not only because he want to ask me for a hand didn't he?" He is fast, Rae Neul thought when he pulled his smile. Jung Hwa was the youngest yet the smartest out of his peers.

With good judgement and composure, this alone was enough for the associates to ask him to enter but the young man rejected all the offers they gave easily, stating he doesn't want to work with the Associates. Not that he can call his choice as foolish because he knew how the Associates were place filled with hypocrites and internal scheme for powers. He then remembered a few days ago when he and Lee Young were under an investigations for a different case. The man predicted that it wouldn't be soon where Jung Hwa would have to enter the Associates.

Taking a step he stood beside his shoulder and spoke in a hushed tone enough for only Jung Hwa to hear. "Be careful, this case is the fifth one since the first week of this month."

"He called me here to give me a warning?" Jung Hwa questioned to see the man giving a  nod. "He suspected this case to be one made by the witches and hunters."

"Witches." Jung Hwa repeated to have his brows forming a knot and anger flashing to the tips of his clenched fists. Witches were beings in a human form, often taking a bewitching figure to seduce both humans and vampires before killing them to accumulate their souls. Since far then centuries ago, witches worked to acquire vampire's power and have an everlasting life like them only to fail and went extinct decades ago. His mother was killed with traces made by the witches but the Associates ruled the case as suicide.

"That what the Associates said, but you should now better Witches aren't one that could be killed easily like hunters." Rae Neul patted his shoulder and recalled the young pureblood who were still but a twelve year old in a human age crying for his dead mother now had grown into a strong man who would never bend to anything he faces.

"One dies for a thousand, that was their sayings, isn't it?" A spine chilling smile rested on Jung Hwa's lips. He had been searching for years for Witches to show their tails and finally he had gotten ahold of it after two decades. "Can you help me leave a few word to

Lee Young?" His red gaze stopped at Rae Neul who gave his words, "of course." Rae Neul turned his face for him to see the twisted smile on the young pureblood's face. "Tell him I'm interested to work in the Association." Rae Neul exhaled a sigh not one due to trouble but because he knew Lee Young's prediction will happen. And it did.

Taking his breath, he spoke, "I will be sure to tell him as earliest as I could." His polite tone came.

Jung Hwa then turned to face the other two men to say, "Well then, as I don't have any matter left from the case, I will be leaving."

"Please take care." Said both Daek Ji-hyeang and Rae Neul while Chung Gon said languidly, "Take care." to see the young vampire leave the alley toward his car.
