1 A young employee

I push up my glasses. Nervous and excited to work. Today is the day our boss will inspect our division.

We have been preparing for weeks to share our runner up designs and logos for company X. Most our excited to be done with our project. I am excited to see the boss.

He and I went to the same college together and is the only person who makes me nervous.

I step out of the elevator only to crash into someone. "I am sorry sir let me help you pick these up." I gather the papers to hand to him but my legs turn to jelly.

"Hurry up and hand me the papers." My face immediately turns hot but I quickly hand over his papers. Without looking at me he takes them and asks bluntly, "What's your name?"

He doesn't remember me from school. I do look a lot different. "M-My name is-"

"Forget about her boss she is just a temp worker from Cien division." And just like that I find myself taking the other elevator to the conference room.

On the other elevator I run into Team Lead Larry. He drills me on the information for the conference meeting and I answer flawlessly. Unlike before I am not normally a woman who shyly speaks. Only around our boss does my voice waver.

All woman in our division like Either our boss or Team Lead Larry. Larry is handsome but I remember how sweet Boss was to me in college.

"Belle let me help you with your books."

he lifted my books out of my hands.

"A-are you sure Matt? These are super heavy?"

He winked at me."Yes plus this is an excuse to walk you to class."

He put his free arm over my shoulder.

Our Boss help me out through out college. Even my friends thought we would end up dating but I moved back to Nevada after graduation because of my mom's health.

After she recovered I moved back but I had lost contact with Matt.

He will be surprised when he finds out I work here.
