43 Chapter 41

SEOKJIN'S POV.

"Dad said that the engagement will be hidden from media which means only our close relatives will know about it for now but the marriage announcement will be given in front of media two days prior to the wedding day." My brother explained and I just nodded in return. My engagement is in exact forty seven minutes and I am sitting in my room fully ready waiting for my parents to take me down to hall where my engagement is suppose to held. I heard the knock on the door and I knew who it is. My brother got up and went to open the door. After few seconds I heard footsteps and saw my mom and dad standing in front of me. My dad was standing proudly, dominance leaking out his posture. His lips were curved upward slightly showing his happiness for his son's marriage on the other hand my mom was smiling brightly and her eyes were slightly moist. "I have always dreamt of this day" She commented. I bowed to both of them and my mom stepped towards me and pecked my forehead eliciting a small smile on my face. "Are you ready son?" asked my dad resulting in me going back to my poker self to hide my inner turmoil. No I am not ready. I will never be ready for this. I wanted to scream but instead I just nodded. "Lets go then" My dad said. My mom linked her arm with him and they started walking ahead while me and my brother were behind them. I could feel my heart beats being increased and my sweaty palms shaking in nervousness. I just hope this is just a nightmare and I will soon wake up in the arms of my Joonie. But no matter how much I wish it to be a nightmare I cannot change the fact that it's a ing reality. We enter the hall which got silent due to our family presence and all eyes were looking at us curiously and slightly with inferiority. I got more nervous under their gaze unlike the rest three of us who were walking with power and dominance. A lot of people came just to witness me sacrificing my life considering the fact that this event was hidden with the eyes of outsiders and media. My eyes wandered around and I spot Naeyon standing along with her parents. She was wearing a beautiful peach color dress looking stunning as always. She seemed nervous just like me and knowing the fact that she is in same situation as me made me even sadder. She doesn't deserve this. We both don't deserve this. We all went to them and I bowed to Mr. and Mrs. Im and same goes with my hyung and Nayeon bowed to my parents. Then our eyes met and she gave me a sympathetic smile which produced slight warmth in my heart knowing that I am not alone in this. Someone is there who understands me who shares the same pain as me. "Shall we start now Mr. Im?" My dad asked "Sure Mr. Kim. I have been waiting for this for long." with that my dad went in the center. My heart beats raised and I am sure it is going to come out of my chest at any moment. "Welcome ladies and gentlemen. I am sure you all know why you all have been invited here but I am still going to announce it again. Today is one of the best day in my life as my younger son, Kim Seokjin and Mr Im's beautiful daughter Im Nayeon are going to get engaged." I heard clapping sounds coming from everyone making me flinch slightly. "I request all the great personalities present here to love and bless this new soon to be couple." Everyone clapped again and my nervousness is increasing with time. "I would like to request my son, Kim Seokjin and his soon to be wife, Im Nayeon to come here." I gulped. This is the time. This is the time when I will lost my Namjoon forever. Please someone come and stop it. Please!! I felt my mom give me slight push telling me to move foreword but I couldn't. My legs were froze. At last my mom took my hand and almost dragged me to my dad with Nayeon on her other side. My eyes met my dad who gave me a stern look telling me to behave properly. The engagement rings came and I started feeling dizzy slightly. My mom gave me the ring which I am suppose to make Nayeon wear it. Nayeon raised her hand and I looked at her. There was no sign of any emotion on her face. She was just looking at the floor lost in her own thoughts. I was amazed with her ability to stay calm and composed till now while on the other hand I was feeling at the verge of fainting at any moment. I slid the ring on her finger with my shaky hands and everybody clapped and congratulated. Then she took the ring from my mother and I raised my hand which was shaking vigorously. Noticing that Nayeon finally looked at me and the sight in front of me shattered my heart. Her eyes were red and the tears were brimming her in the corner. She bit down her lower lip making it almost pale from the pressure indicating that she is trying very hard to keep her tears inside her eyes. I took a deep breath and suddenly everything seemed blurry in front of me. My legs felt like they have no energy at all making me almost fall down until someone caught me. I could hear faint sounds around me but could not comprehend their owners or what they are saying and suddenly everything went black.
