12 Serums

"They're gonna come for me and when they do you'll be sorry," Aj smirked as she leaned away from the wall she was chained to. Her arms were tied behind her back and attached to the wall, she was on her knees and her legs were also chained to the wall in the same fashion.

"To bad you probably won't remember them." Adrian laughed as the color left Aj's face. They couldn't take away her memories now, she finally had a family again.

"Uh sir, we have intel that the Avengers are headed here." One of the guards whispered but still loud enough that Aj heard. She smirked,

"Too bad, they're already here." Adrian laughed only making Aj feel more uneasy. He leaned down so his face was right up to hers.

"Good because now you can watch them die." He spat. "Guards take her to the window, in handcuffs please." Adrian walked out of the room with Aj and the guards following.  He stopped in front of a big window which showed that the base that they were in stood over a huge mountain. Adrain smiled and turned to look and Aj.

"Isn't this view lovely."

"I would like it better if you fell out this window." Aj glared.

"You should start being nicer to me if you want to live at all." He raised his voice clearly irritated by Aj.

"Oh you wouldn't kill your now best assassin, if Buck was here he would be but you're stuck with me so suck it up, princess." She laughed seeing his face glow with anger. Suddenly a bomb was heard in the distance and he started to smile.

"Oh look, here's James now." He turned to face the window. She had never heard him say Bucky's name it was always солдат.

The quinjet flew closer to the base shooting every Hydra agent in its path. Adrian motioned towards one of the guards who ran and came back with a button.

"What's that?" Aj asked.

"Oh, you'll see." He turned and pressed the blue button and a missile shot out of the base and hitting the quinjet. Aj gasped, tears threatening to become known, but she knew she couldn't show she was hurt. It would only make her more vulnerable.

"Are they.."

"Dead? Well hopefully or that would be a waste of a perfectly good missile." He walked out of the room leaving Aj to stare at the smoke rising from the trees below. The guards grabbed her and dragged her back to the room she was originally in.

"You guys ready?" Clint asked as he flew the quinjet over the treeline. 

Bucky had explained who the man was to everyone once they had gotten back to the tower. Tony had figured out where they had taken her by tracking where the helicopter had landed. They had brought Clint, Bucky, Steve, Tony, and Wanda. They wanted to make sure the super soldiers got back their girl. 

"Yeah, lets head in," Steve said grabbing guns and handing them to Bucky. 

"Remember the plan guys?" Tony asked putting his suit on. Everyone nodded and sat down.

"We're getting close guys." Clint warned. Steve got up and leaned on the back of Clint's seat to get a better view. Clint started shooting down Hydra agents as soon as they were in range.

"Nice job Clint." Steve said.

"Oh don't praise me, Rogers." Clint joked. 

As they started to get closer to the base everyone got ready to jump. 

"Guys! We got a bogey coming in hot." Clint said making the team turn around.

"Well just avoid it," Tony said.

"I'm trying but whenever I move it moves," Clint said frustrated. The missile finally hit them and they fell to the ground. Just before the jet hit the ground Wanda grabbed everyone and flew away from the jet. They landed far enough away that they weren't hit with the aftermath. 

They watched the jet burn. They all looked up at the mountain where the base was and realized how far away they were.

"I'm calling Nat," Tony said.

"Get her to get the rest of the team together, we'll need them." Steve sighed.

"Oh tell her to try and get Hope and Scott as well, and maybe Thor and Carol, oh, and how about T'challa," Clint suggested making Tony glare at him before calling Nat.

"Hey Tony, how did it go?" Nat asked.

"They shot us down, get the rest of the team here as fast as you can, I'm sending you the coordinates," Tony said before hanging up. Almost everyone turned to Bucky who was sitting on a log.

"We're sorry Bucky," Wanda said clearly upset by the situation.

"It's not your guy's fault, I'm supposed to protect her. I'm her big brother! I always said she never had to worry, that I would always be there for her! I haven't been able to do that!" Bucky started crying. No one knew what to say to a crying ex Hydra assassin.

"Buck, trust me it's not your fault. When I found you I thought it was my fault you were found by Hydra." Steve said sitting down next to Bucky. 

"I just, I just can't help but feel that this is my fault." Bucky almost said in a whisper.

"It's going to be okay, the team will be here soon and we're going to get Aj back." Steve looked up at the others with a sad smile.

"Okay, Tony needs us, let's go," Nat said to the people she had gathered. That was, Rhodey, Vision, Sam, Bruce, Peter, Scott, and Hope. "Oh and thanks you guys for coming back to help," Nat said to Scott and Hope.

"Anything for our newest female Avenger," Hope responded.

"Okay everyone on the jet," Nat said pointing to the door. Bruce stopped her,

"Do we really need a code green?" He asked giving her a worried look.

"We'll have to see, maybe we won't but just in case you're coming." She said patting him on that back and heading to the jets.

Aj sat in the cell they had eventually put her in after hours of torture. She had multiple broken ribs, a black eye, blood coming from her head, sides, legs, and arms. She hand bruises everywhere. She has burns running up her left arm from where they burnt her. At one point they had put her head underwater and keeping it there for minutes at a time. Aj kept her head up and didn't answer any questions they asked her.

She fell asleep on the hard concrete floor after her tears finally ran dry. 

She awoke to a bat hitting her back.

"Get up! Now!" The guard yelled. She quickly got up and walked out of the cell. She followed him to a different room than the ones she had been in, but she knew exactly what was going to happen. They laid her on the table and strapped her down with restraints. The door opened and Adrian and some scientists walked in.

"Ah Тень, this is one of our newest scientists, he will be running the experiments today." The color drained from Aj's face when she remembered how many others died from these experiments before they found her.

"Can I at least know what you're putting in my blood?" She asked staring at the ceiling.

"Well since you won't remember it by the end of the day, why not?" Adrian laughed. 

He motioned towards the scientist who brought over a tray with at least 10 different needles. He grabbed a needle with a blue liquid in it.

"This is, the super-soldier serum," Adrian explained.

"But you already gave that to me," Aj said with a worried look.

"Yes, but giving it to you again will make you stronger than солдат, and the captain." He laughed. 

Aj held her breathe as the needle was pushed into her arm. She felt the serum burning throughout her body, she tried hiding the pain but it was too much.

"Ahhh! It burns!" She screamed closing her eyes and clenching her fists. After about 5 minutes the burning stopped and she stopped screaming.

"Ready for the next one?" Adrian laughed, he told the scientist something in a language Aj didn't know. And that's saying something since Aj had learned 5 different languages, but when she was in Hydra she only used Russian but that wasn't Russian. Whatever he said made the scientist laugh and that shocked Aj, no one ever laughed or smiled at Hydra.

"What's that?" Aj asked her voice cracking from screaming. 

"This one is supposed to enhance your powers, oh, and don't try anything, we've specially made all restraints for you. Meaning your powers won't work." Adrian smirked when he saw Aj try to use her powers but nothing happened. "Okay, she's ready."

The scientist pushed the needle into her arm. She waited for the burning but nothing happened.

"Why doesn't this one hurt?" She asked confused. But Adrian didn't answer her. 

"Guards! Take her to her next stop!" Adrian yelled, guards instantly grabbing Aj putting her in new cuffs and dragging her away.

2 jets landed close to where Bucky, Steve, Tony, Clint, and Wanda were waiting. The rest of the team got off the jets and Tony came to meet them.

"Where's everyone else?" Nat asked looking behind Tony and seeing no one.

"They're over there," He pointed farther into the forest. "Bucky's taken this really hard and Steve isn't much better." Tony sighed leading everyone to the clearing they had crashed in.

"Well, let's get Barnes to tell us everything." Hope suggested,

"Barnes!" Tony shouted making Bucky look up, he clearly hadn't noticed everyone was there. Tony motioned him over. Bucky walked over to the group.

"We need you to tell us everything you know," Nat told him.

"Okay, well the man that took her was sort of our caretaker in a way, he was completely in control of us. He has high ambitions. He killed over 30 people before finding Aj, who didn't die when she was injected with both serums." Bucky sighed. "I don't know anything about this base. I never came to this one." 

"Well, let's start making a plan. Let's get Aj back." Hope said.
