14 It’s me

"Steve?" Bucky asked confused because Steve was pale. Steve didn't speak. He was pushed forward the light shedding light on a body behind him. Everyone raised their weapons at the unknown person.

"Put the gun down," Nat said pointing her gun right behind Steve's head. The person threw a knife just missing Nat's head but clearly missing on purpose.

The person pushed Steve with so much force he fell on top of Nat. The sound of repulsers came from behind the person. The person turned to shove a knife into the middle of Tony's chest turning of his suit.

"What the hell?" He asked falling to the ground limply. Rhodey shot a missile at the person who quickly jumped kicking it back at Rhodey. Sam flew at the person knocking them to the ground. The person curled up pushing their legs against his chest throwing him into a wall knocking him out as well.

"Go, Steve!" Nat said running towards him, he grabbed her arms throwing her into the unknown person. They fell to the ground. The person grabbed their gun and hit Nat in the back of the head while Nat was down knocking her out.

Hope tried her shot at taking this person down. As soon as she got close enough the person kicked her into the wall.

"Shit," Hope said trying to push the ruble from the wall off of her. She realized her arm was under a huge chunk of the ruble to heavy for her to lift.

Vision shot a yellow beam at the person but they cut it off by covering him completely in ice.

"Vision?" Bucky asked running over to him and touching his arm. The realization hit him as he turned to Steve holding the person against the wall by their throat. He ran over.

"Steve stop!" He said but Steve just looked at him confused giving the person the chance to kick him in the stomach. The person then took Bucky by the hair and slammed his head into their knee.

"Shit!" He said touching his nose which was gushing blood. Steve threw his shield at the person who stopped the shield throwing it back at Steve who barely dodged it. He looked to his right to see it almost fully in the wall.

"Get her mask!" Bucky yelled.

"Her?" Steve asked confused, he hadn't seen Vision yet.

"Just do it!" Bucky yelled running towards the person who spun around and roundhouse kicked him in the side.

"Buck, whoever they are, they're stronger than you," Steve said worriedly.

"Yeah, no shit Steve." Bucky groaned getting back up.

Steve ran towards the person they went to shoot at him but he blocked it with his shield. He walked towards them with his shield in front of him. Bucky shot at them turning their attention to him giving Steve time to hit her in the face with his shield causing their mask to fall off and them fall to the ground.

"Aj?" Steve said almost scared.

"What?" She asked looking angry.

"That's what I was trying to show you," Bucky said running up to her. "We can't stop her without her memory. We have to knock her out."

"Got it," Steve said. He took a deep breath and pulled his shield up to his chest.

Aj jumped onto Steves's shoulders, causing him to drop his shield. She wrapped her legs around his throat and pulling him back trying to trip him. Bucky came up behind her and grabbed her shoulders pulling her off Steve. As Bucky tried pulling her off she pushed her legs off Steve and flipped over Bucky pulling him to the ground. A loud smack was heard when Bucky hit the floor.

"Buck? You okay?" Steve shocked that the sweet girl he knew as Aj had the same cold dead look Bucky had as the winter soldier.

"Steve I'm fine, she's not." Bucky pointed to Aj who had grabbed a knife off of Nat and threw it at Steve who again barely dodged it. Aj ran at Steve but was stopped by Bucky, he didn't do anything to stop her he just stood in front of her. He couldn't lose his sister and his best friend. She grabbed him by his throat and lifted him up against the wall.

Steve grabbed his shield off the ground and went to knock her out but she grabbed a gun off Bucky and shot Steve in the shoulder, he fell to the ground crying out in pain. Aj turned her attention back to Bucky. She put more pressure on his throat causing him to cough.

"Till the end of the line Doll," Bucky said in a hoarse voice.

He watched as her eyes conflicted from her cold dead state to the sweet girl from Brooklyn. She almost loosened her grip but her Hydra side quickly took control again causing even more pressure on Bucky's throat.

A flash of green was the last thing Aj saw before everything went black.

Aj woke up to the sound of a door closing. She looked around recognizing her surroundings but she couldn't figure out why, maybe from a past mission with Hydra? Then she realized this wasn't one of the Hydra rooms. She remembered waking up to a door closing so she quickly looked around the room for whoever had closed it. Her eyes landed on a man with blonde hair, he was sitting in the corner just watching her.

"You know Bucky's a mess." He said knowing they had already erased her memory. She gave him a confused look.

"Let me go." She demanded.

"No."

"No?" She started breathing heavily. She suddenly started thrashing in the restraints they had put her in and screaming. Steve got up and left.

The avengers sat behind the one-sided window staring at a man in handcuffs who was smiling.

"God, that makes me uncomfortable," Tony said.

"What did you say his name was?" Bruce asked looking at Bucky who just stared forward at the man.

"Adrian." Bucky spat like it was a curse word.

"Okay, Bucky? Ready?" Bruce asked, Bucky only nodded before going into the room with Adrian.

"Ahhh soldier, come to interrogate me?" He laughed. Bucky sat down across from him saying nothing and showing no emotion.

"How's your sister? Healing up well? Those guards did a number on her lemme tell you." Adrian laughed earning a hard smack to the face.

"Ooh, that's gotta hurt," Tony whispered. Steve walked in to watch the interrogation.

"Anything?" He asked Natasha.

"Nope."

"How many times?" Bucky asked in a cold tone.

"How many times did we beat her? Or how many times did we make her forget you?" He laughed making Bucky get up and leave the room.

"Bucky what's going on?" Steve asked.

"I'm going to end up killing him." He said punching the wall causing everyone to go quiet.

"We just need to find out how many times so we can figure out if we need Shuri or not," Steve said in a calming voice.

"Mr. Stark, uh I'm really sorry but I have to go, aunt May is going to be upset I was gone so long," Peter said slowly leaving the room.

"I'll take you home Peter," Wanda said walking out with him.

"Look Bucky, I'll go in," Nat said heading into the room with Adrian.

"Ahhh Black Widow," Adrian smirked.

"Tell me everything you did to Aj while you had her," Nat demanded.

"Well, we beat her and erased her memory." Adrian laughed.

"If you tell me now, I won't let you be killed. If you refuse to tell me I will let the team kill you in the most painful way possible." You could see the smile on his face falter.

"Bet." He whispered in a taunting tone.

"Okay," Nat waved for everyone to come into the room. "Okay, let's start with Clint,"

Clint took out his electric arrows and shot them into both of Adrian's shoulders causing him to cry out in pain once again. Clint then went over and ripped the arrows out of his shoulder making him wince again.

"That's supposed to make me tell you?" He teased. Nat rolled her eyes and turned to where Clint was now standing.

"Okay, Clint, you can leave but bring in Tony." They nodded and left the room.

Nat assumed Tony was watching from the other room but when he didn't come in right away and turned towards the glass giving a confused look. Bruce pressed the button making it so Nat could hear him.

"Tony's in the lab, Rhodey went to go get him." Nat nodded her head and turned back towards Adrian who still wore a smug grin.

"My question is, why go through all this trouble for some girl that you don't even know. Let me guess, the Captain said he knew her and then the Soldier said she was his sister."

"Well, I assume you already knew they were siblings when you had them," Nat responded dully.

"Of course I knew. But you didn't answer my question, why go through all this trouble for her?" He spat.

"She's been here long enough, meaning she's family," Tony said walking into the interrogation room.

"Finally, where were you?" Nat asks.

"Making something that will help us get the answers we need," Tony smirked.
