A British civil war between the Crown & parliament.

The main factor I am interested in is the British military torn between the two sides.

First, we have the "Royal" troops, such as; Royal Marines, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force, Royal Regiment of Scotland. Also, those without royal in the name, however, remain loyal to the Queen and her affairs/family i.e. Queens Guard, etc.

Let's say on the parliment/government side you have the British army, most of them such as; the Parachute Regiment, Special Air Service, and the majority of infantry and armored regiments.

Let's take a brief breakdown at a few of the forces.

Royal Regiment of Scotland (Black Watch, Highlanders, five other regiments).

Royal forces are somewhat limited here; they do, however, have the Royal Artillery, and perhaps a few more.

Parliament

As far as I know, the vast majority of armored units such as; tanks would fall under government troops as they do not have royal in the name or similar.

Therefore, the "Challenger 2" tank and the vast majority of combat, cavalry, and recon vehicles are included.

Parliament forces would also include various army helicopter regiments, which include; Apaches, Gazelle, Drones, etc.

Furthermore, the Army has landing assault crafts, artillery, air defense guns.

Navy

Well, the Navy is the Royal Navy, so the sea's would be run by Royal forces.

Except for landing crafts, etc. that the Army happens to have too

Air Force.

The same applies here, Royal Air Force so fighter jets, bombers, and so forth would fall under Royal forces, with many combat helicopters though under Government command.

I have not included the police or agencies such as; MI6, MI5, etc, though feel free to give your opinions on these branches too and why.

A few main determinants, Scotland, in my opinion, is likely to stay loyal to the Crown, so even non-royal troops will likely side. I'd like to hear your thoughts on this, too, though they may not. In Scotland, you still have Paratroopers, SAS, etc. and let's say they are still loyal to parliament. The vast majority of line infantry are Royal (Royal Reg of Scotland), such as; Black Watch, Highlanders, etc.

We could take this further, such as; what would European forces do, or US, China, etc? Would they stand on the sidelines, or back, perhaps even take part in the conflict?

Also, what would countries such as; Canada, Australia, New Zeland, commonwealth, former British colonies do?
