5 Chapter Five

"Hey babe" a voice said. I wanted to groan in frustration. It's obviously Jeremy.

I shut my locker. Jeremy was standing beside me. The plan was to avoid him all day but it seems like God has other plans for me.

"Oh hey" I awkwardly said

"I came to pick you up but your parents said you had already left for school''

His tone wasn't an annoyed one. Instead, it was filled with curiosity and confusion like "are you trying to avoid me?" Yes. Yes I am.

Well you all know the drill of what went down last night. When we got back from our little adventure with Harry I stayed in my room all night thinking about what he said.

I've waited long enough

I was even scared of him breaking up with me. Am I willing to give up my virtues just because I'm in love with him?

Am I even really in love with him or am I in love with the thought of being in love with him?

Whatever it is, it isn't good enough to make me give up my virginity. I must admit, the way he pressured me yesterday made my feelings for him diminish a little

"Yeah, I was embarrassed after what happened yesterday. Sorry about that" I confessed

"No, I should be the one apologizing. I'm sorry for pressuring you, if you want to wait that's fine. I respect that"

Wow. All my worries disappeared the moment he said that. If he really meant that then we would be okay.

I grinned widely.

"Really?"

"Yes, it won't make me love you any less"

I hugged him tightly. Ha! Take that Janet! Told ya he would wait for me

"Thank you" I said

I was so happy that this won't change anything between us

"I need a favour" he said when I pulled away from him

"Yes?"

"I need help in math, coach said if I don't get at least a C in the next test I'll be kicked off the football team"

"Sure I'll help you. Come over this afternoon after school"

"Thanks babe"

"No problem, walk me to class?"

"Sure"

We held hands as we walked to my first class; AP biology. When we got to the door I gave him a short kiss before I entered class

The teacher wasn't around but the class was already full. The only chair available was next to a white guy at the middle of class.

"Hey, is this seat taken?" I asked

"It is now" he joked

I chuckled

"Thanks"

I sat down beside him and brought out my books. The teacher came in and began his lectures for the day

"Boring" the guy beside me yawned "I hate biology"

I rolled my eyes

"Tell me about it"

"I don't get this" Jeremy whined

"Calm down and try"

Jeremy and I were in the kitchen studying math for the past two hours still nothing I taught him sank into his brain.

I would've taken him to my room for more privacy but the maids are around. They'll report to my dad and I'll end up dead.

"You'll understand" I assured him

"How can I concentrate when all I wanna do is kiss you?"

"Whoa no kissing" Tyler said coming in with Harry

"Hey Ty" Jeremy said

"Hey Ty, hey Harry" I said

"Hi Angel" Harry replied sitting on the counter

He looked so good with locks of hair covering his left eye. He was wearing sweatpants and a t shirt with sneakers.

He was so effortlessly sexy. I had the urge to lick my lips at the sight of him.

"What the hell Mandy?? You have a boyfriend and he's right in front of you!!" My sub conscious reminded

Yeah right. Stay focused Amanda

"Think fast" Tyler said throwing a French fry at Harry which he swiftly caught in his mouth

"Score" they cheered punching their fists in the air

I laughed shaking my head

"Boys" I muttered

"Angel? Really?" Jeremy said. He wasn't too happy about Harry's new nickname for me.

"Apologize now"

He narrowed his eyes angrily at me. I put up my serious face. It turned into a staring contest for about a minute. I won as usual

"Fine" he mumbled

"Hey Styles" Jeremy called

"Yeah?" Harry answered

"I'm sorry about what I said yesterday. That was out of line"

Harry looked at me as if he knew I was the one who forced Jeremy to apologize. I gave him a small smile and a shrug.

"Its cool"

I smiled at Jeremy

"See? That wasn't so hard" I said

"Can I get a kiss now?"

I leaned in to kiss him

"Study you children" Tyler reminded

"Okay okay we get it" I rolled my eyes

Tyler and Harry conversed while Jeremy and I studied.

Harry occasionally glanced at me but would look away when we made eye contact.

That really made me nervous but giddy on the inside at the same time. Luckily neither Jeremy nor Tyler noticed

"Look at what I did" Jeremy showed me his work

I cross checked all the steps he took. He was correct

"Correct!" I happily said

"Yes!"

"See, coordinate geometry isn't that hard"

"It was, like an hour ago"

"Good, now let's move to logarithm"

The front door opened and closed indicating someone just came into the house

"Hello everyone" my mom cheerfully greeted as she came in holding shopping bags

"Hi" we all responded

"What's got you in a good mood?" Tyler asked

"The fashion show is tomorrow" she did a little twirl

We all groaned except for Harry. I totally forgot about that. Its a show for the church that one of our members; Mrs smith hosts every year. She is also the secretary for the Christian Women Association.

All the money made that night would be sent to a charity organisation

It's really stressful for me cause I have to model. Do you know how hard it is to sit on a chair for hours just for someone to beat your face to perfection?

Do you know how hard it is for someone to curl your natural hair especially if they don't do it right?

Do you know how hard it is to walk in eight inched heels on a stage with an audience of over hundreds of people watching you?

Nope. I didn't think so

"I have to partake, don't I?" I asked my mom

"Yes darling. Unfortunately you have to miss school tomorrow. The girls will be picking their clothes in the afternoon. I'll take permission from your principal"

"What's this about?" Harry asked

"Its a fashion show that Mrs Smith hosts annually. She's one of our church members. It's pretty fun though. It's for charity actually"

"Oh" Harry said in realization "we get to see hot girls model?"

"Yes bro"

They laughed and high dived each other in excitement.

"Guess what, there's an after party for the youths at her model house while we adults are going to a hotel" my mom said

Oh that's cool.At least that's something to look forward to considering I'm not allowed to go to parties. This would be an opportunity for me to attend one

"Can Harry come?" Tyler asked

"Um" Harry began "I don't think that's such a good Id..."

"Wait" my mom cut him off "you can dear. Tyler borrow him one of your suits if he has none"

My mom brought out an invitation card from her bag and handed it to him

"Thank you ma'am" Harry said

"I know what we did to you in the past was wrong but it was for a reason. I'm trying to amend it for the sake of you and Tyler's friendship"

Awwww, that's so sweet of you mom

"No problem thanks" he sounded genuinely grateful.

"Very well then I'll leave you all alone"

She went upstairs

"I'm gonna call Janet and Keisha, maybe they'll be there" I told Jeremy

"Yeah I'll call a few of my teammates too"

"Hey, will Malia be there?" Harry asked Tyler wiggling his eyebrows

"Wait, like Malia Woods. I didn't know you like her" I teased

"Shut up" Tyler snapped

"Tyler told me about her" Harry told me "he said she attends your church. He has a massive crush on her. I told him they should start a ministry together"

I couldn't help but giggle. That was a good joke. I never knew Harry could be this playful.

Tyler on the other hand wasn't having it. He smacked Harry upside the head

"Your brother's really smitten" Harry continued

"Smitten?" Jeremy cocked an eyebrow "is that still a word?"

"Yup" Tyler said "for the British"

Tyler laughed at his little joke

Harry nodded his head "thanks for sticking up for me buddy"

If I stay listening to these boys and their shenanigans, we'll be here all night

"Let's get back to work" I told Jeremy

My mind wasn't present as he solved the questions

I was busy thinking about how good Harry would look in a suit
