The Sun was rising over the pacific ocean, near the South American Continent, where a rather big ship could be seen…

Alexander Fortunić, a world renowned geneticist, a tall man over 6,2ft tall with light brown hair and blue eyes. Son of Ronan Fortunić, a major shareholder of the largest pharmaceutical corporations in the world.

Ever since he was a child he was fascinated with biology and the concept of genes and evolution specifically, he wondered how they work and if he could ever manipulate them. He dedicated himself to such a field of study but the more he researched the more fascinated he became with the concept of evolution itself, he wondered if there was a way to forcefully induce it or at least jump start it…

Alexander has been working on his own evolutionary theory for decades, with funding from the pharmaceutical corporation he has managed to study and isolate the genes of almost every life form on the planet adding their generic sequences to his algorithm, his final goal is to create or discover the means to induce Hyper Evolution on a life form.

Hyper Evolution as a concept is a state where the life form goes through constant evolution, always seeking perfection, the search for the never ending, the everlasting.

Alexander always admired mythological creatures ever since he was a child and during his career he convinced himself that certain creatures which would be classified as Mythological must have existed before, there are countless records of dragons, vermillion birds or Phoenixes, and others; around the world during the same time period, the time the records were said to come from it was impossible for those people to have had contact with each other and still they narrated depictions of the same supreme existences, their depictions always being strikingly similar, Alexander firmly believed that if he managed to perfect his algorithm to induce Hyper Evolution he would be able to bring such marvelous creatures back to existence.

Alex had gone navigating the ocean for certain marine species to add to his genetic repertoire when due to unknown circumstances the air around him and his whole ship started to feel really uncomfortable, little did he know that the very space that surrounded him was very slightly fluctuating. But since it was faint, he just ignored it and kept working, after all it was understandable for his mind not to pay attention to such things when you were on the cusp of an incredible breakthrough.

HAHAHA Finally! After almost 50 years of obsession, I have finally done it! After sacrificing 50 years of my life to studying, researching and working non stop , I have finally perfected it! The Hyper Evolution Algorithm is finally complete! With this I shall be hailed as the most capable genius the world has ever seen!

Knock knock knock knock

Startling him he managed to bring down his excitement and think things carefully, pressing the communicator, and thinking quickly on his feet he said: I will be there shortly, I must finish some things before I leave, do not interrupt or the last 3 days of work will be for naught.

Although all the men under him were exclusive to his command he knew the repercussions of his achievements and how they could all be taken away from him since for security reasons the only copy of his life's work was on his personal Quantum Computer which was on his moving laboratory.

Getting back to work, he named the final product "Hyper Evolution" his complete masterpiece. He looked for his personal health POD, a piece of technology capable of any and all current available medical operations. And uploaded the complete algorithm to the "Quantum Zar" processor and the "Zar Nanites" to have the processor implanted on his brain and the nanites injected to his blood stream so they can spread to his whole body.

The processor and nanites were his own version of the human enhancing procedures that the world now knows as "Ark", on the year 2090 the world was revolutionized by the Ark procedure where the human brain would have a powerful processor implanted to enhance memory and performance and the nanites injected would help the body over perform physically eliminate any illness and prolong longevity. A 60 year old man who has had The Ark procedure done to him from a young age would look like a 30 year old one.

He had perfected his own version of the most powerful "Ark" technology, specially to work with his "Hyper Evolution" algorithm. And the Quantum processor he will replace his own normal processor with has capabilities way beyond the Qua-bit that any high spec quantum computer could possess. The processor and nanites were named "Quantum Zar" and "Zar Nanites" named after his own personal AI, the reason he had to derive his own version of them is due to the requirements of the "Hyper Evolution'' algorithm itself, just containing almost every single life forms genetic information required incredible computational power without mentioning the rest of the features he had in mind for it ….

Before the procedure he called for his two direct assistants, Marko and Luka, and told them. Marko! Luka! I bring you good news! I have finally done it! I completed the Hyper Evolution algorithm, I have made special downgraded versions of it so they can work with the up to date version of the Ark technology, go to your health pods and make sure to properly implant them!

Both were stunned by the spectacular news but quickly recomposed themselves. Mentor thank you so much for preparing one specifically for me, said Marko as he hurriedly hugged Alex and runned to his health pod.

I will forever cherish this opportunity professor, I know what this truly means for us, I won't let you down, that I promise, said Luka after taking a quick bow and following Marko to where their health pod was located

Alexander saw their backs disappear through the door with a nostalgic look on his face. Soon after he went back to the matter at hand. After having uploaded the Algorithm to the "Quantum Zar" and preparing the "Zar nanites" he undressed and laid on the Health Pod to start the procedure. The Pod filled with a special fluid which helped heal the body in case of any mishap, the pod surgically replaced his normal processor with the "Quantum Zar", although he was anesthetized he vividly felt a rush of unaccountable volts of electricity in every one of his nerves, but the truth was that it was just his brain feeling the power of such processor for the first time. Soon after the machine injected the Zar Nanites in large quantities into his cerebellum, Medulla and heart specifically, although they would spread through the body equitably in due time.

The whole procedure lasted almost 4 hours, after the pod filtered the fluid he finally opened his eyes, and a smirk immediately formed on his lips, he could see it, the interface for his Quantum Zar processor worked as intended, the processor being fused into his brain directly shows the information as if he was looking at a screen.

By the classification of the Quantum Zar the average statistics of a human are around 5. After checking his statistics Alexander smirked, he got dressed and went to check up on Marko and Luka to see how they were doing and coping with the procedure.

The reason Alex trusted them enough to give them a copy of what was literally his life's work, even if it's a downgraded version of it, was that he had rescued them when they were 3 and 4 year old respectively, they were born in Croatia and both had their respective parents pass away.

On one of his trips through Europe he saw them on the streets and took them with him, to raise them as scientists and have them help him in his research, all while giving them a chance at a new life. Marko is a tall young man, his stature being over 6ft tall, having black hair and brown eyes and is 25 years of age, Luka on the other hand is somewhat shorter at a stature of 5,9ft tall, with blond hair and brown green eyes.

They are both his most trusted confidants since Alexander is their mentor and father figure, he raised them since they practically have memory. Although most can view them as being adopted children and they wouldn't be particularly wrong, they still address him as Mentor or Professor.

After entering the lab designated to Marko and Luka he saw them both already dressed and waiting for him, almost as if they knew he would come to check up on them after he finished his own procedure.

Mentor it worked perfectly, the Hyper Evolution algorithm has fused perfectly, although the nanites will have to spread throughout my body which will take a couple of days at the shortest everything went perfectly! Said Marko.

I too had a perfect procedure, professor. Although I found it mentally exhausting it was without any issue, I expect to see my body with the nanites spread equitably in a couple of days, mentioned Luka.

HAHAH perfect! It's all just perfect! Although I wasn't able to give you the complete version due to not having the means of providing you with the same Zar Quantum processor and Zar nanites I have created, you will still get most of the benefits. I too expect to see the nanites cover my whole body in a couple of days, although we could enter evolution right now it would take longer since the nanites haven't spread completely yet, we should induce it in a week to make sure.

Before Marko and Luka could respond, the alarmas in the lab went off. Looking at the Dashboard it was visible how the oxygen levels were going down, well more accurately the air levels as a whole, the pressure was decreasing.

Alexander quickly grabbed the oxygen masks and yelled, Marko! Luka! Go grab the oxygen masks right now, I have a bad feeling about this! Lets go to my laboratory, it has better sensors!

Marko and Luka did as he said and followed him to the main lab, once seated Alex brought up the whole ship sensors on display and to their dismay the same situation was happening all over the ship.

Zar! Quickly seal the exits and have the personnel go to their safety pods and evacuate! After which enter lockdown mode and upload yourself my Quantum Zar!

-As you wish my lord, all personnel have evacuated through their designated safety pods, lock down mode has been initiated, the upload to your personal Quantum Zar is in progress-

Alexander, Marko and Luka ran to the safety pods, to evacuate the ship and arrive near land, but just as they were about to arrive the ship started to shake violently and what could only be described as a spatial tear opened on the ship dragging it into it.

Just before the ship managed to disappear.

- Lord, the upload has concluded, all data has been saved, the original AI has also been uploaded to your "Zar Quantum" processor-

Marko! Luka! Brace for impact!, yelled Alexander through the respirator.

The whole world seemed to disappear and a purple dark view was all they could see before they could no longer fight the pressure, they lost consciousnesses

On a vast forest a spatial tear opened and a damaged ship came out of it, landing in an area completely covered by trees so tall it seemed like they could pierce the sky.
