10 Chapter 10

-> Those who love Venelana... I'm sorry.

-> I promise this is the only time I'm making her suffer. After this, she shall be the happiest mother. It was just to create a little immersion... For the Plot...

For the Greater good...

Man seriously writing this much drama is too much drag...

Remind me to never write something like this... And those who think this is nothing but a shitload of cringe ... Go f**k Yourself.

*Sigh*

He sighed while releasing the smoke. It was already his 6th Cigarette of the Day. While it might be dangerous for some, for a Fallen Angel it was insignificant.

A subtle way to wander away from some vain matters.

Inclining forward on the railing he was thinking about the entire scenario that played in front of him.

'It was almost like an adventure of ups and downs.' He wandered as at first he had to fight with an invisible devil, then he became the victim of his own invention, the meeting, and finally this unfortunate 'death'.

"What is next? Will I be visited by Ophis? or will Great Red strike me down?" He chuckled.

It was supposed to be the start of cooperation between the Devils and the Fallen angels.

'Although a small start, it was still a step forward.' Azazel was contemplating what to do now...

He has been in the Gremory territory for a while already and it seems like he might have to stay a little longer.

"Death of that kid matters not to me but what does matters is how this will affect Sirzechs."

After the Great war, Azazel became the greatest advocate of peace but to really achieve it he needed like-minded people.

Old Satan Faction with its partial Council did not help at all...

'Those morons only lived for profit and war...' He thought while condemning the ways of old and defeated.

"Well, Good thing the newly ascended Satans actually think rather than just brawling ..." Not minding how he just called the original descendants no-brainers, Azazel switched his position to watch the stars... Artificial stars.

The Purple sky covered in the shade of night looked kind of beautiful.

"Well, let's get finished with this formality stay..." After all, he never really met Cale... So he didn't really care...

As he was about to move away he was jolted by a sudden voice.

"Been a while... Azazel" He was on guard because the bracelet still was not notifying him of this new presence.

Turning around he was met with a sight of a Gothic young girl sitting on the railing.

She had long black hair and dull black eyes with reptilian-slitted pupils in each depicting her Dragon heritage.

Observing him while eating ... cookies?

'Fuck'

***************************************************

'I am already overstaying and yet I'm bringing yet another guest...'

He muttered under his breath... But he too was a bit interested. Why would the strongest being visit the Gremory Family?

It was strange but rather than mulling over it he decided to extend his stay a bit more and took Ophis with him inside the Gremory Castle

Azazel has already informed Sirzechs of this uninvited guest and was on his way to the meeting place.

He looked back and saw Ophis following him like a duckling.

'Just how many cookies is she going to eat...' He thought.

As they were about to reach, Azazel suddenly caught the sight of yet another heartbroken soul on the way.

Venalana Gremory

The unfortunate mother. Azazel sighed yet once again. He decided to reroute, for he do not want to interact with her needlessly. It was too much of a hassle anyways.

'Safe Safe' He cheered in his mind as he succeeded in doing so. But there was a difference this time. He was not being followed anymore.

Ophis was standing near her aim. Where she wanted to go from the beginning.

***************************************************

When she came to know about Cale's condition from Maria... She denied.

She denied the truth. Venelana could not accept the fact, not by her will, not by her body, not by her heart...

Her entire being rejected such a prospect.

"Wasn't Fiona still living..." She reasoned.

"Maybe it was something related to his disorder... he is alright" She bargained.

"I took care of him all the time... then why? " She blamed.

"I do not believe it... He will come back to me... " She denied.

"He is not dead !!!" She screamed.

In the end with all her heart, she denied the reality because she believed he still lives.

It has already been a day since the event happened. Since she refused to believe she continued her daily tasks as usual. Taking care of her garden. Researching her son's dreaded ailment.

Nobody stopped her...

For they feared the wrath of a helpless mother. She was coping and they did not want to get in the way. Even Zeoticus did not say anything this time. For his heart ached too. He decided to take a break. Break from everything.

A little time just for himself.

While moving in the corridor she encountered their family photo hanging on the wall.

It reminded her. The reality she was trying to run away from. She couldn't help but take support from the nearby pillar.

Kneeling on the ground she broke down into tears. Like a dam breaking down everything she was trying to suppress in her heart was coming out bit by bit

*sob*

'Cale...'

"He is alive" Venelana's ears perked up.

What was it called again? Hope.

Yeah, Hope...

Those three words were enough... Enough to restore all her hope...

***************************************************

Walking down the long ass corridor Azazel finally reached the meeting room

Before knocking on the door to announce his presence he felt like checking behind for reason.

Turning over what he saw left him gobsmacked...

"Where the fuck did she go?" Empty long ass corridors...

***************************************************

"Are you sure it was really Ophis Azazel? " Sirzechs was in no mood for jokes. He already held doubt when he was informed about Ophis's visit. If not for her being the strongest existence in the world. He would not even have accepted any guest.

Both Azazel and the crimson-haired prince were rushing toward where Azazel believed Ophis might be...

"It is really her, You think I won't be able to differentiate this much " He glared back at Sirzechs.

'He is serious.' Sirzechs nodded and followed behind. Turning around the corner they found themselves where Azazel previously wanted to avoid.

They saw Venelana kneeling and ... crying?

And a young gothic girl standing near her holding what seemed like a cookie jar.

However, what really surprised them was what Ophis said to Venelana...

"He is alive"

***************************************************

In a big ass hall, there was a long ass table.

Sitting around the long ass table were the Gremory family, the Governor General of Fallen Angels, and the Infinity Dragon God.

*nibble* *nibble*

'Just how many more cookies does she have? ' Azazel muttered

*nibble*

'So she is the one who stole all my cookies? 'Venelana thought.

*nibble*

'What is happening? ' Zeoticus sighed.

Reading the strange mood in the room Grayfia who stood behind Sirzechs could not help but ask

"Ophis-sama what did you..."

*nibble*

"mean earlier when you said 'He is alive?' "

Finally finishing she and others waited with expectations.

*nibble* Finishing her cookie the gothic girl looked directly into the eyes of Grayfia and after waiting for a while she raised her hand and pointed toward Venelana

"Her son... he is alive" Thinking this much was enough she took out another cookie and started nibbling on it.

"Please do not joke with us Ophis-sama" Not waiting for any explanation Zeoticus spoke with clear seriousness visible in his eyes,

'Man this guy got balls of diamond...' our fallen angel-san thought.

Watching everything going in a circle Venelana couldn't wait anymore. She stood from her seat and went near Ophis.

Sitting beside Ophis she took the jar from her hand and asked "Ophis-sama please tell me why you think that Cale is alive... Please tell me..." she begged.

Seeing her cookie jar taken away Ophis stared at Venelana for a while thinking about whether she should kill her or not.

However, she forced her hand down. She remembered

"Please don't hurt my family... Otherwise, I would not help you."

Thinking about the contract she made she pushed down the violent thoughts.

And again waited for a while.

Watching her staring blankly again Azazel was sure that he is going to lose his life.

However, The silence was soon broken.

No! not by the sound of nibbling.

Ophis recounted her entire encounter with Cale while hiding unnecessary details.
